they may have presented themselves as a raffle site to ebay and not a competitor... I don't think that they're really competition for each other anyway... not directly, anyhow.

Does anyone know where the banners were for the minimal advertising campaign? Apparently they picked some pretty effective places, since they had much more traffic/interest than anticipated.

I didn't, stocksr... Marva18 did... I was just commenting on Meshoe45's question about why ebay would allow the competition to advertise..

I went looking for it on ebay too, and I couldn't find it either...

Hey, I was just kidding about advertising on ebay.
They would have to pay thru the nose before ebay allows that.
getting on Yahoo will cost a pretty penny.

hopefully soon they will be awarded funds for their Homeland Security patches.
Plus don't forget, they've been profitable for 2 straight quarters.
And they've expanded on their telemarketing company with an aquisition.

I found something interesting...if you go to yahoo and type the word "raffle" or "lottery", you get prizewise listed at the top of their "sponsored sites" which is located at the bottom of the web page (scroll down and you will see what I mean!). Yes folks! It says "sponsored"...as Prizewise having to pay them. I'm assuming this is what they meant by minimal advertising. You get the same results in google (to your right hand side)except that they do not show up as one of their sponsors when typing the word "lottery".

Yes they are probably doing PPCs (pay per clicks) which target specific keywords.

Whats the deal with this thing just a huge sell off and then maybe something this afternoon towards closing? I would assume that monday there is goingto be some type of good news about the results of their advertising.

We've gone up almost 10 straight session and we were due for a slight setback. Many of the investors, who bought in 3-7 cent range, cashed in their profits which caused the share price to decline. For those of us still standing strong, there is still plenty of profitability ahead. I plan on listening to Steve this Sunday and I hope you will do the same. It is obvious PrizeWise share price is bound to rise, check out their new tab http://www.prizewise.com/invest.asp called invest. Anyone who goes to this site will be intrigued to invest. The share price hasn’t been updated to reflect yesterday’s close, but with the 1,000’s of people visiting the site each day, you can only imagine the possibilities.
I can’t wait for Monday……….

For those of you who are registered users on PrizeWise probably already know the following, but for those who aren't listen up...
This is a post from prizewise:
---------------------------------------------
Notice posted 6/11/2004

PrizeWise has had almost 200,000 visitors to the site this week. By way of responding to inquiries about our servers and marketing, we have placed orders for several state of the art servers which are being installed in our colocation facility in London in 6 days. We are increasing the bandwidth available on the site 5 fold. We are preparing for the large traffic increases we expect as advertising gradually escalates. We are holding off on television advertising until we have the additional server capacity in place, while doing other advertising in moderation. Mass e-mails to iWon and Excite users begins Monday, and will continue for three weeks.
---------------------------------------------
This company will do well...this is a long term investment. If you stay long you shall be mightily rewarded. Of course, as always, be on top of all events and do your own dd.

I know this is looking kinda far into the future, but what do you guys think will happen to prizewise (tfct more specifically) on August 19th if none of these high ticket items don't sell? They will have to refund all of that money to people. Anyways, like I said that is far in the future and I am in for the long haul.

Bragg, I do see this as a concern, HOWEVER, I dont think any of us can assess exactly how many people will be drawn in through the television commericals. I think that if they can get a subscriber base in the hundreds of thousands from the commercials(I think they will) then they will be able to finish all of the auctions on the site. 10,000,000 dollars in prizes, at 500,000 users thats only 20 tickets per user, not unreasonable.

Bragg, they won't actually 'refund' the money, they'll just put the raffle ticket back into your account. Prizewise will still have your money, you just have the option to place that ticket into another bid. Actually, if they are allowed to hold the unsettled cash in an interest bearing account, this might actually help them in the short term. I must admit that I don't know the tax laws surrounding raffles, so that may not even be possible.

Roger, I agree with you. Once the tv commercials begin to air, they'll have no trouble filling the bids on those big ticket items.

I don't look at this one as a get rich quick investment, but a long hold money maker. JMHO though.

Hi Pharmdman, I guess we were in on different auctions. MY iPod won't be awarded to ME for another 15 days (approx.)

It is Prize # 1712.
By that time, though, I expect the pps to be such that I won't be too upset if I have to pay retail.

The one that I lost was #780, but now I'm in on #1712 too j/k, I'm out of tickets, but I may have to pickup 15 more! lol. I could always give you my 20GB iPod when I win the 40! I have no idea why I'm trying to grab the 40GB anyway, I haven't even come close to filling the 20!

Well we had quite an exciting week, almost breaking the 20 cent mark and closing the week out at 11.5 cents. I know some of you are getting concerned due to the recent selling pressure, but there is still plenty of profitability ahead. Case in point…..Tobin Smith is founder and chairman of ChangeWave Research and co-stars on FoxNews Bulls & Bears, a very popular investment show. He will be interviewing Steve Rinehart, President of PrizeWise tonight on http://www.businesstalkradio.net/ (carried throughout the country) and he will legitimatize TFCT as a great buying Opportunity. Tobin’s comments alone, can send this stock to levels we could only imagine. I hope you listen tonight, I am so confident Tobin will be Bullish on TFCT, that Monday’s opening will be unprecedented…..

I'm going to be listening tonight!
I think this stock has the most bang for the buck out of any out there right now.
100,000,000 pennies = $1,000,000.00; always remember that.

That was pretty good!
Just wish I would win a prize!
I guess my prize will be the price of the stock going up , up and away!
