Enron did lie...but look where they are now. Nonexistant with their executives in jail and the auditor broken up and sold.
However, most of those companies you talked about did not lie at all, they mislead you. There is a big difference. It all depends on how they word their PRs.
Example - "We are going to be listed on the OTCBB next thursday."
as compared to a more vague statement...
"We plan on pursing a listing on a higher exchange."
Why do you think they have that forward looking statement disclaimer on the bottom of the PRs. Forward looking statements are vague and have loopholes...thus the "CYA" clause or cover your ass clause on the bottom.
On a side note...
Did anyone notice that on the pro forma 1st page it says that more detailed financials would be released by mid-September?
Did anyone else notice that on the pro forma $160K/month is aloccated for "Advertising and Promotion"?
Did anyone notice on the last LFWK/SLJB PR about audits, they said things like "The auditing firm, with locations in Canada, The U.S., and Europe finalized the process yesterday." and that "The audits were conducted by a premier international accounting firm." but did not mention the name.
Perhaps they have been using PWC and/or KPMG the entire time but never disclosed that info?

Everyone pin pointed the 15th. But the company said "mid September" so it can be anywhere from the 10th to the 20th. Also what will the financials say? and how will it affect the stock?.
My thoughts is that the finacials can only say what SLJB done over the 2005-2006 fiscal year and not about the 300 million over the next year. But im not in finance, im an engineer.

I found that out the hard way.nonetheless my real focus and interest at the moment is why so many U.S. penny stocks are being used in and around the Middle East at a time when W Bush regime promised his allies were clean ? Reaction to the Bush regime's attempted ports deal with Dubai ruling class proves that.Where are the journalists ?
Of course in my case I was investing in a Stanford patent and all connections to the Middle East were censored from SEC filings are I would not have gotten involved.As it turns out ex-SEC Commissioner Joseph Grundfest,now of Stanford University law has himself much to answer for in aiding Stanford and researchers Chris Heeschen,John Cooke and Stanford University itself from profiting from that fraud.Both research fraud and stock fraud.Much of my discoveries came from this board when Bellador Group's Mr.Taylor and his criminal Arizona attorney Ron Logan showed up on this board to threaten myself and other critics - NOT FROM SEC FILINGS- because the corrupt SEC didn't require Endovasc or David P Summers nor the now deceased Dwight Cantrell to file !
Note Iran for instance is not running illegal pump and dump scams and probable money laundering with U.S. penny stocks, only the W Bush regime's 'allies' such as the Saudis from exactly where Mohamed Atta and the 9/11 terrorists sprang.And of course the President of Israel Moshe Katsav now caught up in a sex scandal with accusations of an offshore account where he accepts bribes for pardons,etc. ! please back that statment up with some SOLID evidence...dont just throw a statment out there like that with out backing it up...yes there are pinkies that lie, but there are also those who do not...some solid evidence that the company is a scam please.!

The information was not my own DD. I firmly intend to follow-up by doing my own either to confirm or deny the claims. Hopefully to confirm them as false.
I know that you mentioned seeing an email from Emaar, "not wanting to mention anything about confidential business relationships", however, to confirm being involved with a company, that is trying to report to their stockholders that they have involvement with you would only be helping to give them credibility. To not respond with an answer would continue to fuel the doubt.
I know you claim that Emaar "implied a relationship", but the same goes for you as you said to me,..."I wish you wouldn't post dribble that is unverified and not credited to the original source."....so would you mind passing on that source?? And, the phrase that Emaar used to imply a relationship?

You are right I should have posted the info along with a link. So I'm doing that now. Wit, I hope you know I wan't bashing you but what you posted was very inflamatory and at least seeing the source would allow one to DD the person and their previous posts to see if they are trustworthy or have an agenda. You seem like a nice guy too. By the way I have personally emailed Emaar regarding SLJB and will post any response I receive.

I have a good amount of money invested in this company, but have become very weary of this company lately. We have no confirmation about Wessal, in Sulja's PR they call themselves different names, which you can see below. Also there has been no comfirmation that they are working with Emaar or any confirmation that an office exists in dubai. No one has been able to confirm their prescence in dubai. All of their PR's have nothing filed with the SEC, and it seems Marquee Asset Management isn't what they are made out to be. i thought I found a long term winner here, but the company is not held liable for anything they say in a PR since its a forward looking statement. I guess if an audit arrives it would tell all, but I see no confirmation of anything.

It may just be me but I have a bad history with Canadian stocks. I made a rule never to buy any, but here I am watching my predictions come true. I play the charts and the momo, if half of what these guys say is true I will make money, but not untill the gap fills. IF they actually produce an audited financial I will be pleasantly surprised. Take out ALL the PRs and what do you have left? I see the hype and the potential, now put it all in black and white.
Oh, and posting financials on a web site is no different than posting them in the pinks IMO but I would rather see them on the PK web site. Once they are OB then that will add more legitimacy. And everyone in here will be much wealthier. Just gotta get rid of the killer word IF and we'll be okay.
