I live in an area called Oak Openings... It's the last of what was once the "Great Black Swamp"
The water table is only about 4 feet below grade in our area... This year it has been around 3 innces below grade.... Ist time I've seen it like this... Mosquito city... Deet is my friend..

CRab, if you have access to straight ammonia, it is awesome for mosquito bites. My hubby brought the tip home from a refinery in Pascagoula...works like a charm too! There are no shortage of them here, either...

I am about a mile from the actual Metropark...yeah..it's gorgeous...living so close..I feel like I am on vacation 24/7...
I walk out my back door and leave the puter, cell phone all of it...It's great! I keep the property treated as well as I can...but it's tough with this rain!
