12/22/2005 3:11:00 PMComcast Corp. said Thursday that it will launch a family-programming package with an average of 35-40 channels beginning in early 2006.
The MSO said its new tier will include 16 family-friendly networks (listed below); local and national broadcast channels, including affiliates of ABC, NBC, CBS, UPN, The WB Television Network, Fox and PBS; religious broadcast fare, Hispanic programming, including Univision and Telemundo; and public-access programming.
Comcast added that along with the 20-25 channels subscribers currently receive on the basic tier, its family tier will include Disney Channel, Toon Disney, PBS Kids Sprout, Discovery Kids, Science Channel, Nickelodeon/Nick Too, Nickelodeon GAS (Games and Sports), Trinity Broadcasting Network, Home & Garden Television, Food Network, DIY, CNN Headline News, The Weather Channel, National Geographic Channel, C-SPAN and C-SPAN 2.
Subscribers who select the family tier will pay an average of $31.20 per month, based on the cost of Comcast's basic tier (national average price of $12, but locally regulated), the 16 family-tier channels for $14.95 and a digital-cable set-top box with a national average price of $4.25 (also regulated).
“Offering a family tier to our customers is one more step in Comcast's efforts to provide a broad array of family-friendly programming," chief operating officer Steve Burke said in a prepared statement. "The family tier will include some of our most popular children's, Hispanic and religious programming, as well as broadcast networks and local access channels.

OVERLOAD PREMIERES ON NATIONAL TV! AWE's Weekly TV Program Debuts Jan.2 on the Fight Network! Winnipeg, Manitoba. December 21, 2005 -- Action Wrestling Entertainment Ltd is pleased to announce that it's flagship television program, AWE Overload premieres on The Fight Network, Monday January 2, 2006. This monumental debut is the culmination of a full year's worth of effort for AWE.
"We are striving to become a nationally recognized pro wrestling and entertainment company," says Mike Davidson, Director of Wrestling Operations. "The premiere of AWE Overload, is a giant step in that direction."
AWE Overload will debut for the first three weeks with separate, back-to-back episodes. After AWE's HARSH REALITY airs January 18th on Pay Per View, AWE Overload will air with one episode per week.
Here are Eastern Standard Times that AWE Overload can be seen on The Fight Network:
Mondays - 7am and 7pm
Saturdays - 3pm
Here's a brief rundown of what to expect on the first episodes of AWE Overload when it debuts January 2 on The Fight Network.
AWE Overload Episode 1: Airing January 2 on The Fight Network Kenny Omega vs. "Red Hot" Ryan Wood - Two of the finest Action Division competitors in Canada battle it out in a thrilling encounter. There is not a match more fitting for AWE's National Debut.
The Dead Ringers vs. Synn & Johnny Handsome - The Dead Ringers are identical twins from Alberta with raw talent and great ability. Synn & Johnny Handsome make their National TV debut in great tag-team action.
Buff Bagwell vs. "The Mecca" Shane Madison - Buff Bagwell is clearly one of the most controversial people in wrestling's history, but Shane Madison is striving to establish himself on a National stage. Expect anything and everything in this battle between two of AWE's finer athletes.
AWE Overload Episode 2: Airing January 2 on The Fight "The Outlaw" Adam Knight vs. Jon Cutler - Adam Knight is fighting to keep his spot in AWE against one of the fastest rising stars in Canada, Jon Cutler.
"Hotshot" Johnny Devine vs. "Mr. Amazing" Shawn Houston - This Action Division match has the makings of a high-flying AWE classic. Devine may be one of the most established wrestlers on the AWE roster, but Shawn Houston was victorious over James Gibson at AWE's Larger Than Life Volume 1. Don't count either man out until this one is over.
AWE is a Sports and Entertainment company based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is our goal to become a National Organization, holding world class events with international Superstars and the best Canadian Independent talent.

We may not see a run up today due very much to the confusion surrounding the date you need to be in for the divi. I would guess that a good many people believe as B. Tex does and think they don't need to get in until next week. That means until the 28th those people are not going to feel pressure to buy. We won't see devaluation but I doubt we will see .0015 again before Tuesday or Wednesday.
Wish I knew for sure if B. Tex was right or not, but in the end I am content to sit on my shares and be sure of what I'm getting. Has anyone checked with NASD as B. Tex suggested?

I was just thinking it might not move much. It was flying the other days, shares traded must have at least equaled the A/S in acouple of days. My guess is that most have already positioned themselves, but I'll have get LIL to confirm that. I hope i'm wrong.

whoever doesnt get in today doesnt get the divi so you would think they would buy today and even if they thought you could buy next week but not 100% sure then they would buy today so the way i see it is this is gonna be stuck around these prices until a good pr if there is one. who is ever in it now is whos gonna be in it there wont be to much buying going on atleast not with the sells right behind it. i just hope something comes out of this stock but i guess i am still up 100% and i dont see it going to much lower the .0009

OVERLOAD PREMIERES ON NATIONAL TV! I wonder why they called this national TV, when as far as I know TFN is only in a couple of Provinces of CanCan at this time. Is Manitoba a nation? I don't think so.

Better buy them back. You have to own the shares at the end of business. But if you're wanting the divi, I wouldn't sell until after Jan 6. I believe that is the general consensus on this thread.

I've got that same idea. But only if it gets up to around 14 or so. Don't see it dipping below 11 much today, so a flip right now wouldn't be worth the risk to me.
