The fortunes were at the root of the trouble. At Belfast too many kegs of gold sovereigns had gone on board under the meditative eye of the Master. It was uncommon for emigrants to be so well fixed. Half-seas-over the situation got the best of the Skipper. But his buccaneering plot was found out, and the passengers overwhelmed the ringleaders and took charge of the ship. One of their number said he understood enough navigation to bring her into Philadelphia.
That had happened eight days ago, and a landfall was overdue. But prayer fortified the voyagers' spirits, and surely enough, before the day was out, a seaman cried, "Land ho!" and the South River capes spread into view.
When the ship came to berth a thick-set man in middle life, with silver buckles on his shoes, stepped ashore with his mother, his wife and six children. The family of "John Houston, Gent.," descendants of baronets, whose ancestors were in the company of Scottish archers that led the way for Jeanne d'Arc from Orleans to Reims, stood on the wharf and saw their keg of sovereigns safely on the soil of the New World, in the year 1730.

Well, Ricpic, kegs is correct if your using horse and carriage ...'carriage of money If there were often robbers on the road the money would be sent in large amounts' as referenced by your link. Those carriages would get about 10 feet into the water before become sunken treasure. I thought we were discussing 1500 and 1600 sailing ships. On a sad note, these ships sometimes used slaves to stay with the cargo amongst the slime and bilge to guard them. Nice job eh

I just wanted to mention that a coin from the 1700's is going to be worth a lot more than its weight in highly-refined modern gold (regardless of what it is made of). Historic value for the win!

Thorn... did you know that there are globs of coins that anneal to themselves after long time in salt water and need to be sold as bullion as the numistic value is negated. It happens.

Does ricpic really have that interest in this company,?? That may explain his 'inflated' strong interest in this company. But treasure hunting is still one of the coolest things out there.

You have 20 posts to this thread and you make a statement like this!
"I will DD what svxp is working so I can get with the program."
Seems anything good that anyone says, is wrong in your eyes and needs correcting. Not unlike the KEG debate.
Now you say this!
That may explain his 'inflated' strong interest in this company.
I like the companies assets, and Im finding it enjoyable doing the Due-Dilligence on the wrecks, and for the record you are the only one viewing this as negetive.
I'd rather be reading about shipwrecks, than some anal micro-chip development, or medical jargin!
If you don't like the DD that everyone else has done for you here. Then go back to the CMKX thread that you post to so much!

Even if Rickpic was only pumping this stock because he had interest in it. It would be your own fault if you buy into it and don't do your own DD.
You have 3 options.. 1)do your own DD and buy at your own risk. 2)believe what you read on the forums and buy with out DD. 3)don't buy.
All are you're own choices so if you make money or lose money it's all up to you and you can't put blame to anyone else.
Personally I'm new to this stuff, so I depend a bit more than I should on other's posts. I still try to do my own DD but sometimes it's hard to know what to look for. So right now I'm just looking at the stock's trends and trying to make money that way.
From my own reading I think a long term big money from a penny stock is a pipe dream, but it doesn't mean you can't make money with it.
I've already made a little over 50% my initial investment on this stock, and I'm about to do that again. I'm thinking by the end of the week I'll make another 50% plus. So that will put me at over 100% profits and this stock has yet to ever go on a run.
Hell I could make a small fortune on this stock if it kept doing what it's doing now, for the next 6 months.

Stockster, did you notice that the pictures on the company website are NOT gobs of coins?

These guys are pretty smart. They are working up slowly to the really good stuff. I wonder if there is something even more exciting than those gold coins. (It may not be, but this is a fun stock/thread).

That doesn't happen to gold. Salt water won't effect it.. Silver on the other hand will deteriorate..
That's why the treasure hunters call gold the "shinny stuff".. because as in my other post.. It looks just as good 200 years later as it did the day it went down.

yea I was looking at that one trying to figure out what it was. I dunno if they were mixing metals for coins at that time in history or not.
This one also got me wondering, looks to be copper. I'm not sure how long they used it, but I know back in the 1500's copper was considered a rare metal and used much the same a gold.

For the record...Ricpic, I meant read more about the wreck so I can have an intelligent conversation with you and others. If one reads a little deeper about salvage, some objects and nonferrous and ferrous metals will have any amount of crustaceans. This stuff is like cement as well. And will most likely need all sorts of types of cleaning. The same technique of electroplating, but with the objects as anodes would be used on coins and other metal And good point Crockett. It's just such a fine line about gushing about a company sincerely and pumping a stock. One of the really good thing Ricpic does is always gives links. So I respect that. Unfortunately, I have always enjoyed treasure hunting in any form, so I would be susceptible to anything positive about salvage, so as an investor its only prudent to do your own research..

Its pretty obvious that you would prefer me to just stop posting on or about this company and you know what you have gotten your wish! First "inflated" now "Gushing" ok before I get pissed off and just tell you were to go with your F'n insults.
Sorry guys no more from me here!
Good Luck With this one! At this point I still have a 30m plus holding, but I will no longer be sharing my buys and sells here either!

Hey man these forums all seem to be full of bashers and trolls. Don't let a few of them get to you. Some of us enjoy your posts.
Was your post on how to play the penny stocks that made me finally jump in and give this a try.

Too bad, I was going to suggest Ricpic start another thread about the salvage only and keep this one for the stock questions. But, don't worry, he'll be back
