Sigh...You know it's a slow day when SVXP almost slips off of page 1. One way or another this stock is going to break out of the .0003 to .0005 trading range come April! Can't wait, although I know a lot of you are content to trade back and forth here at the bottom. As long as the interest keeps up we're looking good. No front page news yet I guess...

new form 4 filing!

http://secfilings.nasdaq.com/filingFrameset.asp?FileName=0001108017%2D05%2D000739%2Etxt&FilePath=%5C2005%5C12%5C07%5C&CoName=SOVEREIGN+EXPLORATION+ASSOCIATES+INTERNATIONAL%2C+INC%2 E&FormType=4&RcvdDate=12%2F7%2F2005&pdf=

not sure how I want to view this line item in that form 4 filing!

Explanation of Responses:
( 1) 45% of SVXP is owned by Sea Hunt Inc. of which Mr. Knollenberg is 100% owner.

I would guess that it amounts to a merger PR in the near future though!

I hear you Hoss! If I got out here this stock would at least double and probably 10-tuple. Good luck and I hope you made a little dough on this one.

Well, one thing Rick, Sea hunts just one guy and I can't find anything definite about his company except he had a small office behind a restaurant in florida. Cali had many little shell companies that they used to issue stocks, the initial profits all went back to cali. This guy may be more of the same. But subsidy shell companies are sometimes used as legitimate techniques to raise capital for the parent company. It's only when you see all the income going to administration and salary costs that it starts to smell. (administration is another way to describe a paycheck to the officers).

I can only see sea hunt fitting in on paper, I don't see this guy as a active marine partner.
If there is more 3 and 4 filing, I think somethings going to happen, but not for shareholders, but for all those shares these handful of guys bought up.
Same ol' same ol'
Since Rick's holding millions, I like to see at least him make out.

Awhile ago, I was looking at a penny issue where they authorized and sold 10 bil of stock. Income was around 5 million from that o/s. Looked at their co. profile and they had no product, no income for the last 2 years but the administration and salary costs where 4.2 mil. (PER YEAR) They had only 5 officers. D'oh. makes you just want to jump in and invest with them huh.
Just an example.

Sea Hunt (in 2001 at least) owned two permits to retrieve treasure issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia (Virginia Marine Resource Commission) representing permit areas 97-0163 and 97-0498.

Was this really at $2.70 in the last 12 months? What happened to make it "dive down" (Excuse the pun) to .0004?!?

Kilreb, you better do some DD. The current company is not related to the company that existed 12 months (or even a little over 1 month) ago.

Asking questions is part of doing DD, Thorn. Don't get all high and mighty when someone asks a question that maybe naive in your eyes. They might just be asking to see what the board's opinions/answers are.

Um, Kilerb, that information you were asking about is pretty darned obvious if you just read this tread, let alone just do a minimum of effort in looking into the stock.

Seriously, you can get all huffy about my statement or you can do some DD. People don't post here to do DD for you; if they do that's just great, but why do you trust what total strangers say? There are way too many naive traders on the forums.

I have no idea what CALI's problem was; probably because it was a holding company with no real income, it's price dropped. I doubt the owners even cared about the pps. When the stock symbol changed to SVXP, the ownership did too, so you can't really look back at this stock's trend. Now, that doesn't mean you should trust that the current owners are looking out for the traders.

There is a lot of good stuff in this tread alone, just take some time to read it.

Sorry if I offended you. I'd rather do that than give you a false feeling of security though. Trading otc stocks is hell.

I can't help but think that it should move to .0005/.0006 today, or at least by Tuesday. The volume is really good, and trading mostly at .0005 now.

Thorn, you know what?.. I think I read where sea hunt didn't get the permits because of that original ownership law.... I may be incorrect there, but sea hunt still is a real small operation.
Cali, lets face it, the officers are in this to make money for themselves. We small traders are along for the chum drippings. They make a hundred thousand, I make one thousand, its still good enough money to me.

Hey, I'll ask my wife where's my socks, just because I've looked around already and am tired of searching... "in front of you in the drawer stupid'. So, I tried to save time and effort alittle by asking the know it all....
... play by play.. that's funny kilrb....

I'll just chalk that up as an unfounded opinion then.

Here you go Thorn.......
One man operation... ---> http://www.virginiabusiness.com/magazine/yr1999/aug99/itsup/cover.html

And about ownership and seahunt ::

Update: February 21, 2001

On Tuesday, February 20, 2001, the United States Supreme Court rejected appeals by both Virginia and Sea Hunt without comment, upholding last July's decision by the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Spain, its ownership of the wrecks confirmed, wishes La Galga and Juno be left undisturbed as military gravesites. The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had upheld a 1999 ruling in favor of Spain in Eastern District Court of Virginia. <--- link :: http://www.archaeology.org/online/news/ships.html

I wonder if the appeal has been processed since then. I also wonder if these sites are the same as the ones listed as owned by Sea Hunt.

Thanks for the information.

By the way, according to the article, only the Juno is restricted; the Galga is owned by Virginia, which is encouraging Sea Hunt to persue recovery.

Yep. Watching. And we have not yet had Tuesday's PR!!

-----------------

I guess I missed where both ships are now legally Spain's, after a later appeal.

This does not bode well for other foreign vessels in US waters....

However, I think the real value of Sea Hunt was overlooked here. Benson has developed a detector that would probably be quite useful to other treasure hunters, including SEAI. However, that is pure speculation. [Smile]

Correct me if I'm wrong. But Ben Benson owned Sea Hunt during all of the Spain problems. And Peter Knollenberg is now 100% owner.

I don't know the details yet, Tex. However, at one point in time, AOOR owned Sea Hunt, apparently, and Knollenberg is further related to AOOR by some pipeline in Oklahoma which he owned. It's probably a total mess of spagetti-ownerships if one digs deep enough.

Anyway, this legal issue with Sea Hunt and Spain was a big landmark deal in leagal circles. Interesting stuff.

An agreement between Spain and Sea Hunt would solve the issue, but so far all I can find is a quote someone posted--not very reliable information. If you want to contact Sea Hunt and ask them, that would probably be the easiest (if slow) method of finding out the current status of the Juno and Galga sites. (I bet Rickpic already has this info [Wink] ).
