Palm Springs: Gay Crossroads Of Commerce and Politics
I always love it when the power of the GLBT community collides with politics and commerce. It's so satisfying since it usually works to our advantage.
It looks like that is what is happening in Palm Springs right now.
Apparently the black, gay mayor (supposedly the first of his kind), Ron Oden, badly wants to get the all-gay, all-the-time Q Television Network on the local Time Warner cable system. He says that if Q is on the air in his city, then they will build a studio facility in there too.
According to Palm Springs Desert Sun, the city is already a hot place for photo and movie shoots - and I'm not talking about the temperature. More than $28 million was spent producing movies, commercials and TV shows in the area last year. A new studio would add to Palm Springs' reputation as a Hollywood satellite.
Referring to the Q network, Oden (above) said, "If they get on Time Warner, they are going to build a production studio in the city. It gives us another opportunity to do things here. They're going to syndicate some national shows and broadcast from here on a daily basis. We're moving, baby."
Palm Springs, of course, has a sizable gay population and so it makes sense to have a gay channel. Time Warner says it is already considering all three new gay networks (here! and Logo being the other two). They are just trying to figure out which to include.
Cable systems have some pretty complicated reasons for why they include some networks and not others. There are all kinds of fees, rebates and interlocking ownerships deals. That undoubtly plays a big part in all this.
However, the local government is always a force for the cable system to reckon with since they have the ultimate say over who gets the franchise.
No matter what, it looks like the Palm Springs gay community will win on this one. The GLBT community will get better television; the Q network might build a facility drawing more gays and lesbians to the community; and Oden cements his standing as a dynamic, gay mayor.
Now about that gay mayor.
Ron Oden is an attractive guy with a background in education and religion (yes, religion) that would make any politician's mouth water. He is a great public speaker and people say his personality is "magnetic."
Recently, he said he won't run for mayor again. That begs the question: What next, Ron? Stay tuned.

I would normally never bash a stock, but I see people new to investing wanting to buy this based on the hype and that is a shame. They will loose there money and never invest again because they listened to hype without looking at the facts. I dont know why anyone would by a stock recomended by people whove lost a ton of money of it but apparently some people do and it is sad that they will probably never invest again. If a stock goes down for 2 years straight, and doesnt show any signs of trend reversal why is the stock going to go up. Why should it not keep going down. It is a fact that many penny stocks dont ever make it.

QueerEdge on OUTtv is now showing 4 days a week and 3 times a day for a total of 12 episodes a week.

Actually they have lot's of great programming, so I would think that they love the show. We have to remember that Jack was a part of their programming in the past and when he came over to "Q" it was a big loss for them. Now he's back and we make bank

Actually we did, we ran from .0012 to .0016. That's an increase of 25%. There's no reason someone couldn't run this from .0010 to .0013 as well.
The problem is that either Frank is *still* diluting, or we've got weak sellers that refuse to hold. Naked shorting in QBID is a joke, this stock is too hotly watched by the SEC for MMs to naked sell. Granted, they might be doing some naked short sells between days, but I doubt any of them hold a naked short position for more than 48 hours, and certainly not for 5 days.
I would not be surprised if Frank isn't forced to do something here pretty soon. He's got so many stockholders pissed off at him it's ridiculous.

I'm buying shares because I think this stock is worth more than 20 million market capitalization. It doesn't help when you have people staring at either 7.5 billion in dilution or 10.5 billion in dilutiong since February 2004 and saying that the float is still somehow 3.5 billion.

This stock is not CMKX. Urban Casavant (or whatever his name was) was taking your money directly to the casinos where he would gamble with it. Frank does not do that, he wastes your money on parties that he throws for his friends. Now he's wasting it on a DVD to try to convince you to invest more.
Funny but true story: nowhere on the DVD will it state what the timeframe is for getting off the Pinks, or what date we will move to a new exchange. Why? Because Frank's not that smart. PLNI, a stock with absolutely no potential at all, picked a date to have their audit done by. Their stock when from .00s to .0150 range immediately. It's now been 3.5 months since they posted that their audit would be done in 4 weeks and they are still trading above a penny.
If Frank would just promise a date to have the audit completed by, that'd be great. Otherwise, a lot of people are frustrated, and justifiably so!

Oh you did, did you? Did you read all of it? I said I understood the reasoning for rebuilding it, culture and all that BS that they say for everything. sorry guys if this is annoying anyone. I dont really care if he can get my IP or not. I'm just sick of him threatening everyone on here with this ip thing. im sure there are people that would like to post but are nervous to.

I'm not doing the IP stuff because I was told not to. It can be done and I've done it in the past. If you have a timestamp all you have to do is match posting times to times the image is pulled. You can post an image on here using UBB img code and yes, you can link ID's on here to IPs on a script, and find out who has multiple IDs. It's actually not difficult.
The whole reason this even came up again is because one of the moronic pumpers, polo, was saying he had proof that jonas had multiple IDs again. I was calling him on it and telling him that it was possible, but he wasn't bright enough to do it.

i have apologized for this already, but there are people that are bothered by his statements.
I have taken on the task of giving him permission to prove he can do it. basically to prove that he cant do it the way he makes out.
if your ok with that then that is fine. I know of people on this board that have been bothered by his comments.
i agree that it is not an important issue, but it is to certain people. I want this crap shot down once and for all so that people can get back to posting without worrying about this crap.

Yes Jenn i like that line alot. that tells us that we are in for a lot of announcements real soon. this will bring a great valuation to the stock.
this pps is not realistic of this company and its potential and its achievements thus far.
this has to be the largest longest shakeing down of a stock in the history of the pinks.
this of cource is all speculation.
Q is fueling up right now for some real excitement before the end of the year.

technicals are lining up on Q....RSI targets are 38.6 at .0013....34.1 at .0012 and 29.8-30.3 at .0011....
Bollinger bands are tightening and bottom currently is at .0012 so a break below .0012 would set off alarms and that then turns bullish....
All the resistence including the 32,20,and 50 SMA and the SAR are all forming around .0014-.0016...upper bolli band also creating resistence in that area
