Cold - back in July, when we were all waiting for the promised audit results, I would have (and did) agree with you that there was something "fishy" with PLNI. Since BAC came on board, though, I think there is a good case to be made that they are on the right track. Obviously, there was some dilution going on since 2004, but all that makes logical sense given all the acquisitions. It doesn't quite jibe with what Turek said in the past, I'll admit, but we crossed a bridge IMO with BAC and now are on the straight and narrow. The revised float increased by only 100,000,000 shares from what we thought was out there -- not bad considering that gives us Promold and Semco.
Semco and Promold aren't ours yet officially, but I sincerely doubt BAC would get involved with a scam company -- that would be VERY bad business for them. When we get Semco and Promold, we will have instant blue-sky.
This stock is getting play on a lot of sites, shows, etc. Jim Cramer, Green Baron, etc..
The highway bill and (wish it weren't so) recent HEAVY damage to infrastructure caused by Katrina creates increased long-term demand for our product.
BlueLinx/R&S put us out there in the industry.
Damn, dude -- besides timing, what in the WORLD smells fishy about this stock????? I honestly think your GTC order at .009 is fishy -- like fishing for trout in the toilet -- like you will NEVER get your bite.
Besides -- you need to get WAY more creative in your bashing, dude -- you are disappointing me! You are, after all, a cartoon superhero. Get to work!!!

There's nothing fishy about this stock. It's just that everything moves as slow as molasses. I remember some poster over at R b breathlessly saying he was going to out PLNI by calling the "alleged" distributor Bluelink....turned out, of course, it's all legit.
Too many reputable operations involved with PLNI for this to be a scam. It comes down only to execution, not any kind of deception.
Added some today. May swing trade a little on the next rise so I can stay with my core position.

Bmax -- welcome to the thread! Of course you are welcome at the party, as are all friends of PLNI, and ONE basher -- Cold_up_here is our resident basher and he *USUALLY* comes up with some pretty damn good bashes. I think he has been busy lately because he hasn't been very creative lately. He has a GTC fill order in at .009 and desperately thinks/wants it to fill. He is the ONLY basher we tolerate on this thread, and his posts are always welcome becuase of the magical "Cold Effect" in which almost every time he posts with more doom and gloom, the pps goes up.

I truly believe that the next 60 days will bring a barrage of news, and make the last 60 days look like we were moving backwards. I base this opinion on what Matt has said, and how Matt and BAC have performed for HISC and thus far for PLNI.
I think the molasses is starting to heat up.

Just got called out in a PM about the Mad Money reference. I can say I remember seeing a link in my original DD searches related to PLNI, but I don't rememeber checking out the link, and I can't find it now. So I retract my statement that PLNI has been exposed on Mad Money -- not becuase I was making it up, but because I can't prove it today.
Just keeping things real here, and thanks to the person who PM'd me with the check

I have had a few people ask about news services, so I figure I'll post this publicly. In order to get automatically updated PR information for most stocks, use an RSS reader. If you don't have one, you can go to www dot feedreader dot com and get theirs for free.
now when you have an RSS reader, add the link for primezone:
www dot primezone dot com /newsroom/rss/
now add the link for business wire:
http://news dot search dot yahoo dot com /news/rss?p=business+wire&ei=UTF-8&n=20&fl=0&sday=26&eday=25&source=business+wire&datesort=1
That will give you automatic news updates for most stocks including the pinks.

My thanks to members for input re charts and apologies for being late in expressing that appreciation. Am crawling up the learning curve but, as the PLNI Millionaires' Club is apt to be a while in materializing, have to make a few stabs at gainful work in the interim.

quote:LEXINGTON, Ky., Sept. 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Plasticon International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:PLNI) announced today that the company is featured on ****************.com. According to Larry Oakley, co-founder of the Wall Street Corner and a featured speaker at over 60 international investment conferences, Plasticon is a "real find" and the company's stock has the "potential to double or better in the next six to 12 months." Mr. Oakley has been a well-respected name in picking emerging growth investments for the last 17 years.
In his article about Plasticon International, Oakley explains that the potential for the company's core products, such as its patented recycled plastic rebar supports, is enormous. Rebar supports, which are used in virtually all construction projects, from bridges to highways to buildings, represent a $30 billion annual industry. "This is another winning situation. CEO Jim Turek has transformed an industry. The revenue and profit potential of this situation is quite substantial. With about 95 percent of the $30 billion market for its plastic rebar supports still available, the size of the market is huge." (http://www.****************.com/stockpick.html)
In the column, which can be viewed online at http://www.****************.com/stockpick.html, Mr. Oakley, who is a mechanical engineer by education, also explains the technical reasons that he believes Plasticon's products will continue to change the industry and why he believes in the potential of this stock. More fluff, but if Matt is being on course, there should be something good coming on its heels.

I mean, I "get" why they release crap like this (to bring attention and keep it looking for the bigger PRs), but it sure doesn't help the short-term price much (usually) and I am sure we can all agree that it doesn't make us skip our morning coffee for excitement. Oh well, still think bigger news in on this PR's heels.

just took 20 mg valium, 4 mg xanax, and 4 mg ativan. Will send Benzo love to anyone else who though we would have big news this morning. I know they are sticking with the grand plan I laid out, but I was getting impatient and thought this morning we would see a strong one. Still stoked on this stock, but just a little disappointed.
I should never check Primezone before I have had any coffee...sorry mom

Mrgr... I totally agree on your point about the short term....except to say that Wall Street Corner is read by investors who would not necessarily invest in pennies. I like that they get the PLNI information in front of those potential investors. They may not buy today but if and when things gel we may see some of them. Buyers move PPS north...

Good point, Bear! The Benzos are kicking in and I am feeling much better. I suppose what made it worse is that to us this is old news (we new about the article already).
If I didn't truly believe that it was all part of a grand plan by Matt to take this baby to the moon (ala HISC) then I suppose I would be discouraged instead of disappointed.
You are right, though, Bear... this is GOOD news. I only wish it were Wednesday so I could really anticipate GREAT news tomorrow, although now I suspect we might have to wait until next week.
Anything that keeps people looking our way -- particularly potential new investors to keep the volume up and the float moving-- I'll take.
One thing though, we sure notice a pattern in trading on the day before a PR on this. It has happened darned near every time. Patterns can be a good thing in this world.....

Heck, the funny thing is, I wouldn't sell even if we got great news and moved past our .02 ceiling. There is soo much more to come that .02 isn't even a goal so much as a checkpointin my mind.
I have to agree with what State said yesterday in that there is almost nothing wrong with this stock, and it is almost promised to move, but it is a little slow.
As most of us have said before, though, you can't get too discouraged by stuff like this, because you never know if Matt is going to release something bitchen later today or tomorrow -- there are so many things that could happen near any time, I just can't walk away from this even for a few days.
I had no problem dropping HISC for a while to play in other sandboxes, and will go back when things get interesting (as I am sure they will), but I am not alone in saying that you almost have to stay in the PLNI sandbox if you are a believer, because judgement day could come anytime.
Thanks again, Bear -- as always, a voice of reason so early in the AM.

PLNI, having begun in 1989 & profitable beginning in Q2 2005, designs, produces, & distributes high-quality concrete accessories, transportation signage, plastic lumber, & office supplies which are all produced from recycled & recyclable plastics. That makes PLNI a green company, environmentally-friendly. Its products are covered by issued patents & patents pending. It has applied for, & has been granted approvals for its products by the U.S. Department of Transportation & by every U.S. state & Canadian province. Its products are used in all 50 states, throughout Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, & Asia.
Let's look at just one of its products -- it uses recycled plastics to make rebar supports.
That doesn't sound romantic, but the market for rebar supports is about $30 billion. The market for another of its product lines -- highway signage, is about $20 billion.
First, What is a Rebar Support?
When anything is built using concrete (bridges, buildings, highways, & almost any structure), it has to be reinforced with heavy steel bars. That's because concrete has strong compression strength, but can easily break if you try to bend it. We'll use the concrete beams in highway bridges as one example, but actually every structural item made of concrete needs those steel bars, called rebars. In the concrete beam, the rebars must be placed in very specific locations inside the concrete & have to be the entire length of the beam in order to make sure the beam will be strong enough to support both the static (weight that doesn't move) & dynamic (things like trucks that move) loads the beam will have to support.
If you just laid those rebars in the form used to make the beam without accurately positioning them, the beam would probably break before it is even put into place. To be able to make sure the rebars are in the exact positions that will make the beam strong, rebar supports are used. They are placed every few feet.
Why use PLNI's Patented Plastic Rebar Supports?
In the past & still in about 95% of the cases, the rebar supports have been made of relatively thin sheet steel that is bent into shape & strong enough to keep the rebars in place as the concrete is poured into the form used to make the beam.
That works, but there are two problems:
1. The steel rebar supports rust, & deteriorate in time (it's called concrete corrosion, & costs this country billions of dollars per year). That causes a void in the concrete. That in turn leads to breakage with pieces of the concrete breaking away. Have you ever seen a bridge with a piece of rebar sticking out from an area that has been broken off? That's what I mean. The result is that the beam often no longer has the strength to do its job -- pretty dangerous.
2. Rusting takes place as the concrete sets, which causes the outside of the beam to have rust areas. Because of this, Marriott, for example, wants its concrete buildings to look neat & clean, so began to use rebar supports made of stainless steel -- very expensive.
PLNI to the rescue -- here are just some of the advantages of its patented recycled plastic rebar supports:
• Far less expensive than stainless steel. • Impervious to moisture. • Does not conduct electricity. • Does not rot, crack, splinter, or degrade. • Uses environmental waste as raw material • Will nor corrode, deteriorate, or decompose. • Lasts forever. • Many times stronger than steel.
My Opinion
This is another winning situation. CEO Jim Turek has transformed an industry. The revenue & profit potential of this situation is quite substantial. With about 95% of the $30 billion market for its plastic rebar supports still available, the size of the market is huge.
There are about 2 billion shares out, insiders own about 80%, & the float is about 500 million shares. As I write this today (8/30/2005 @ 3:02 p.m.), it is trading at a modest $0.015.
Go to www.plasticonintl.com, click on "About Us" to see examples where these products are already in place. Call PLNI's IR firm at 866-843-2775.
Looking at the past picks from Oakley, it seems he might be on BAC's payroll. He picked HISC in May. But that's not bad because I have always said if we can follow HISC to .12 then we will be doing just fine.
