Guys I had to jump out today. I set my sell at .0156 when the bid was at .0152. They took them all. I had some unexpected car trouble on my daughters car. Hopefully I can get back in soon. Good luck, I do not want to watch because when ever I sell stocks take off. So you guys should have a good week...

We dont "need" him today. Wait until the good PR later in the week. That is when we need him. What this stock does in the meantime really doesn't mean anything to us mid- and long-term holders.
I'm not certain a good PR will come out this week, but I strongly feel it will. JMHO

"We believe that the retirement of shares will add tremendous value for our shareholders," said Jim Turek, President and CEO of Plasticon International. "This is the first step in a share restructuring process. The restructuring will be reflected in a share price that is more truly representative of the actual value of Plasticon's shares.
Tremendous value? So instead of 13's it's 15's? My definition of tremendous definitely differs from Jim's!
The restructuring will be reflected in a share price that is more truly representative of the actual value of Plasticon's shares.
As of today(8/29/05) I have concluded that Plasticon share value is in the .0075-.0099 range. This value per share is for Plasticon only. Semco,Promold,Audit completion are not included. I guess one could say that these are "Wild Cards".
As for today's action, Bawhahahahahahahahahaha!

They don't seem to have a category for "Plastic Construction Products" yet.
It's kind of funny, because the picture for remesh is a rusty roll of metal mesh.

Like I said -- Matt is on the ball.. He is not going to let PLNI get away from people's minds. Very good news that the PRs are flowing if you ask me (and you didn't), but any doubts I had two weeks ago have been reduced by 99%, and I now consider PLNI as the "safest" of my pinks. Real growth potential here. Still risk, yes -- but they surely do appear to be on the right road now.

From RB: >>Folks, this is huge news. Bluelinx has just confirmed for those few who doubted PLNI that this in a legit company. In fact this is a HUGE company. Bluelinx has 3 people working on PLNI products. That is immense. Orders must really be going out the gate.
For Bluelinx to commit 800 resource to PLNI means this is more than legit, this is huge.<<

I don't know how huge it is--but it's good for sure. that's right, as far as conferring legitimacy is concerned.

Why does that surprise you? Whenever a pink gets good news the MMs send it down to get more shares. This is to be expected just pior to any kind of run (no matter how long, short or lacking the run ends up to be).

quote:This post was taken from another board. There are a number of folks here who doubt PLNI's credibility, including me. The poster below who is reliable - I know him - called BlueLinx about Plasticon. His conversation which I have no doubt took place, should lend a lot of validity to Plasticon.
The post has been changed only to remove the poster's name. Read on.
Guapo
Start post from other board:
As a graduate of the Guapo Cynical Investors Institute, I made some Due Diligence phone calls today to BlueLinx, and actually got a return call from a gentleman who handles their Eastern concrete products division.
I asked him point-blank if PLNI is actually selling products through them, and he confirmed they are and rattled off the various warehouse locations across the country where PLNI products are shipped from. He went on to say that they have had an affiliation with them for the past 3 years. This is when BlueLinx was part of Georgia Pacific and PLNI was Wicklund Holdings. PLNI has been selling their plastic recyled products for at least that long with this large, national distributor.
I then asked him if they are actually filling orders for PLNI products and he emphatically stated they are.
Snipped from the BlueLinx web site:
Reliable distribution As the largest building products distributor in the industry, BlueLinx is positioned to deliver on our promise. Headquartered in Atlanta, with over 3,300 employees, BlueLinx operates in all of the major metropolitan areas of the United States through our network of 63 warehouses and many third-party operated warehouses.
Over 900 trucks deliver to more than 11,700 customers, including building material dealers, industrial manufacturers, modular and manufactured housing producers and home improvement retailers. We also offer a growing selection of distribution services that use our transportation assets and facilities. A sophisticated logistics network ensures that our customers can count on us for reliable, efficient deliveries.
BlueLinx trades on the NYSE and is at $9.81 this morning.
This is causing me to look at PLNI in a different light. I will still wait until the audit is complete and they are off the Pinks before buying more. In the meantime, I will swing-trade it.
Based on this verification of their product sales on a national basis through a major distributor (not even counting R&S Manufacturing), I have more confidence that they will actually complete the audit sometime in the near future. It just wouldn't make sense that a Pink Sheet penny stock company would be in the game with the big boys.
I am still waiting on return info from R&S Manufacturing and Pro Mold. If I get anything further, I will post the DD results.
GLTA,
I don't think this has been quoted here, so apologies in advance if it has.

You know, I wouldn't expect a PR to follow only one day after yesterday's--but even if one had been scheduled, I wonder if it might be held back so it won't get buried in all the New Orleans/Gulf Coast disaster news.

Bad news for PLNI. I remember Turek saying that a big negative for Plasticon was if oil remained high. Well, that statement was made when oil was around $40 a barrel. Now oil is at $70 and still climbing! Poor Plasticon- *High oil continues *No audit *No update on audit progress *Semco hasn't closed and looks like another delay *Promold? Doubtful about completion *Shares haven't been retired yet(200mill) *O/S(with retirement)is still outrageous *PPS turmoil

big negative for plni if oil remained high? i know you're the board basher cold, but come on. that's just retarded. i think you're high and that's a big negative on your portfolio outcome since you don't like plni.
anyways, high oil prices are NOT a negative by any means.

I can't really see how oil prices would effect Plasticon in anymore of a negative way that any other company... it takes lots of energy to make steel and Plasticon uses recycled (i.e. already exsisting) plastic.
I also wonder if both public and private companies in N.O. and the southeast coast won't be looking for less expensive building materials when they rebuild. They might just be more interested in plastic rebar and signs.

as raw material, recy-plastic still ahead; yes, fuel cost more overhead. The tradeoff: public perception during these trying times--ie, how much demand for concrete rebuilding "the South" vs concern over oil?

Find it hard to believe it takes more energy than making steel... but don't know. I'm assuming the CEO was refering to plastics being made from oil products. Honestly don't think oil cost is a big factor here but again, not my field. Time will tell.

Okay,,No Matter what is done in the manufaturing business is going to be affected by oil.... Everything is going to be affected by high gas prices so why should plni be any different than any other stock for the most part they have not done well the last couple of days... but hang in there.. better days are coming.. I am in for the long hull

High oil prices make it a level field for all. PLNI's products will be in high demand with all the construction that will take place. Company should be very profitable no matter the cost of oil.

I',m wondering along the same lines as you Tex. Will money from the New 286 Billion Dollar Highway bill be diverted to the Huricane diaster area or will there be additional money earmarked for the rebuilding of the infrastructure there. The State Governments will have to move Quickly to bolster those local economies. Time to Help Our Fellow Americans and Now.
