I find it interesting that in that now “infamous” fax from Frank to KoreaVet that Frank mentioned that Q has 30 hours of VOD material. I haven’t heard that Q has any let alone 30 hours. Then in the last PR, it states “QTN will be seen as a premium channel available 24-hours 7 days per week with a complimentary video on demand (VOD) offering for those who sign up to receive the channel.” It seems that Q has, potentially, another revenue stream, one that we haven’t known about.

Welcome Jim!
Hang in there. We may see a few more PRs like yesterdays in the near future which at some point will cause a delayed reaction to PPs.

if that what the posters want, make money and not friends, they entitle to what they want. for me, i would like both. without friends, life is somewhat empty; without money, life is really a pos. if qbid helps me to make money to know a few more faces, life is a plus. sorry, going OT here since it's friday.

Jen Good points. Lots of missing pieces to the puzzle right now, but the clues are there if we can just find them, and each day brings us closer to solving the QBID riddle. To quote Sherlock Holmes (one of my favorite fictional characters): "When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

This TW deal is a milestone for Q. RCN likes it . TW probaly will to. Their president does. Sooner ar later this stock is going to have to show its value. IMO. I'm glad I'm hear with Q instead of where I was when I was waiting for a mysterious diamond mine to start producing, something besides drag races.

This article is a few days over a year ago old, lets hope this guy Michael Marcovsky was never hired for more the 30 days!!! Then again that would explain the pps now if he is still around, lol. Also interesting to note TWC was involved for 8 months prior to 7/04 which means this has taken a heck of a long time to launch Q just in one state. Well one is better then none, i suppose that is progress. The question still remains a year later, how many people are actually watching/subscribing to QTV?? I really really want to know already Frank come on, and I want to know about this dude Marcovsky? Why would you friend such a fraudster Frank, is he still around??
A Queer Deal Q Television taps Michael Marcovsky to negotiate cable coverage
By John M. Higgins -- Broadcasting & Cable, 7/12/2004
It took six long years, but gay network Q Television is finally up. Technically speaking. Too bad no one is watching. The Palm Springs, Calif.-based network sends programming to a satellite, where it's available to cable or DBS operators that want to carry it. So far, all have passed.
Q Television, which is composed largely of an eight-hour wheel of old movies and TV reruns, has had a deal with Time Warner Cable for eight months. The catch: It's only a "hunting license." The network has to persuade each local system to take the channel.
That doesn't keep Q Television CEO Frank Olsen from expressing unwavering confidence in his idea, even in the face of competition from Viacom's MTV Networks, which is launching gay channel Logo. Olsen contends that the MTV offering will be too bland to appeal to gays and lesbians. By contrast, Q plans to offer sexier gay films, ones (such as My Girlfriend's Boyfriend) that merit an R-rating.
"I'm not afraid of Viacom," he says. "I don't think Viacom can put real gay television out there."
Such bravado in the face of a mighty competitor isn't the only unusual thing about Q Television. Another is its financial structure. Parent Triangle Multi-Media is a penny-stock company with more than 1.2 billion shares outstanding. (That's almost as many as Viacom.) Triangle stock is trading at 6/10 of a cent per share, which puts the value of the company at around $7 million.
A bigger surprise: Q Television's recent hiring of Michael Marcovsky to handle negotiations with cable operators. Marcovsky is an industry vet who was embroiled in two financial scandals in the past decade. (READ ON) In 1998, the Federal Trade Commission alleged that he deceived investors in two failed startups: My Pet TV and Children's Cable Network. Four years earlier, he was cast out of Nostalgia Network by his backers—including the Unification Church—who accused him of financial mismanagement, such as improperly steering company cash to his attorney.
In announcing Marcovsky's deal with Q Television, the network proclaimed that the executive "joins" to "lead carriage-contract negotiations." Its Web site listed him as chairman, president and CEO. Olsen, however, says Marcovsky just has a 30-day consulting agreement and that the title was a mistake. (It was trimmed from the site shortly after it was pointed out.)
Olsen says he began learning bits of Marcovsky's full background only after hiring him. "I'll ask him about that," Olsen says, adding, "That wasn't in his résumé."
For his part, Marcovsky minimizes his past tangles. Raising the FTC action is a "rehash" of old news, he says. "You're going to say, 'These are the times he's fallen off the bicycle. We don't want to see him get back on his bike.'"
Marcovsky was a prominent target of the FTC's "Project Risky Business" investigation of telemarketing investment pitches. The 1998 complaint charges that he was involved in an operation that raised $16.5 million for a venture backing My Pet TV and Children's Cable Network.
Instead of securing conventional long-term deals with cable operators, the telemarketing operation sold small investors on the idea of getting distribution by buying time on systems' leased-access channels, then trying to sell ad time.
Very little of the cash went into the networks.
Of the $16.5 million raised from investors, the venture paid 65% to the phone sales operation. Another 20% went to Olympic Entertainment Group, the company Marcovsky headed as CEO. Marcovsky denied any wrongdoing but, in 1999, agreed to pay a $172,000 penalty, according to a settlement document.
He says his company wasn't involved in the pitches to investors, only in licensing programming to the partnerships the investors formed.
At Nostalgia, Marcovsky brought in Concept Communications, a company backed by the Unification Church, to invest in the network, aimed at adults 55-plus. During a fight for control, Concept and other major investors began scrutinizing tiny Nostalgia's lavish spending, including a $650,000 payment to Marcovsky's lawyer. At the time, Marcovsky said he was sacked. Today, he says, "I lost a control fight."
So why did Olsen hire Marcovsky to represent him with companies like Comcast, DirecTV and Cox? Marcovsky was recommended by an unnamed TV-industry contact. Olsen tapped Marcovsky after a three-hour meeting. "I learned more from him in three hours than I learned from others in four years," Olsen says.
Now, though, he's re-evaluating his choice, reiterating that Marcovsky's consulting agreement could be canceled within 30 days. Says Olsen, "I don't think he can do too much to me in 30 days."

I was watching Q all day and one can see how the MM’s manipulate the stock. They bought and sold shares from each other on the Ask in blocks that made it look like an insider or someone with a large holding just dumped their stock. The MM’s tried to get the Ask down. At first it didn’t work. They waited a few minutes and did a larger “dump” and it worked! It was really something to understand it and watch it happen in real time. Having witnessed this today I strongly feel that QBID really is undervalued at this moment even without its “potential.” I can appreciate what Frank must feel about this and understand the need to get onto an exchange. This does afford us the opportunity to increase our holdings at these suppressed prices.

Who can make a profit on that unless they have many millions of shares to sell. MMs I would guess. I don't see Frank selling shares at this price, after saying he was doing a buyback. He couldn't have got them for any lower than they are. Not by much any way.IMO. LOL WTF
Frank's buyback works like this: Frank buys three percent then issues a PR saying that's what he's doing... PPS goes up because of all the lemmings on these message boards hyping that PR into sure proof of Frank's concern for you the shareholder. As the PPS climbs briefly good ole Frank (the one who cares about you) sells not only that three percent but another ten. Now even an announcement that officially pairs TW and QBID together as partners won't give this stock a pop cause he has dilluted this thing down to nothing. Do you have any idea how much we all wanted some sort of PR announcing QBID and TW's partnership a year ago? Now when it does happen Frank has dilluted so much that the effect is nil.
Actually I think it works more like this:
Bashers such as yourself trade on the Berlin exchange. You and the goon squad loaded up on the high of .0024. You now believe it is not going to go much lower and are dumping the shares flooding the market and making it look like dilution. You lie and manipulate everything else so why not this as well. The ingestion of the flood of shares holds the PPS down and even tick lower. You wait like a slimey snake in the grass for another jump to do it again but you fear your time is coming to an end so you invade all the mesage boards with the equivelent to retarded comments in hopes to drive the price down lower because you could not unload all the shares that you where so greedy for. That explanation is more likely than Q being a dud.
As for my retarded comment, no offence the handicapped. It was intended for bashers only!

Profile - Dan Renzi does Dallas North Texans whipped into a frenzy as MTV reality stud swoops into town By Daniel A. Kusner Life+Style Editor Two weeks ago, a scathing article about Tom Cruise’s weirdo antics was circulating on the Internet. The original posting appeared on Dan Renzi’s blog, DanRenzi.Typepad.com. Renzi is the irrepressibly gay roommate from “Real World: Miami.” Click around to other essays on his site, and you’ll find out that Renzi is currently living in Austin and is a jury member for the Austin Film Festival. After taping a promotional episode for the current “Real World: Austin” series, Renzi became infatuated with the capital of Texas. And it looks like Renzi is temporarily staying put: the Naughty Austin Theatre Company recently tapped him for the upcoming production of “End of the World Party.” This week, Renzi blew through North Texas to tape a program with Q Television Network, which is based in Haltom City. After he arrived at his hotel in Hurst on Tuesday night, Renzi and I met for dinner at Tom Tom Asian Grill. He makes quite an entrance at the West Village restaurant. Renzi is a tall dude: about 6-foot, 3-inches. His T-shirt can barely contain a set of broad, muscular shoulders. Before sitting down, he makes a one-handed “Girl, I am so over it!” gesture. Renzi’s slightly peeved: His cell-phone battery lost its juice; he just flew in from a jaunt to Chicago; there was trouble finding his car at the airport — and he’s famished ! All of these woes unfurl in less than 20 seconds. Then he immediately switches gears and turns on the camera-ready charm. It’s easy to see why MTV continually invites him back for more programs: Renzi is a reality natural — a fabulous narrator whose face often lights ups like a Wonder Woman pinball machine. At dinner, he weaves hilarious stories about growing up as a middle child in Denver and Kansas. His first big break came when he was selected to read the announcements over the P.A. system at his elementary school. As a plucky, oddball teen, he was destined for school plays and singing in the choir. Renzi lost his virginity on a double date at the junior prom — that was after he and the other boy had dropped off their female escorts. He used that precious memory for a stand-up routine that was captured for the DVD “Coming Out Party.” Although he’s most known for the on-and-off gigs that have aired on MTV over the past nine years, Renzi has lots of irons in the fire. His blog keeps him busy. He’s a TV columnist for a gay publication in Minneapolis, and he’s a freelance writer for the New York Post. After dinner, Renzi’s sweet tooth is hungry. We drive over to Buli on Cedar Springs Road, and he tallies up his gaydar readings for other “Real World” cast members. Muscle stud C.T., from the “Paris” cast, is as straight as a two-by-four. Although it’s hard to believe, pretty boy Landon from “Philadelphia” is a total skirt-chaser. However, Renzi says jury is still out when it comes to Colin, the bubble-butt hottie from the “Hawaii” cast. As Renzi lumbers along the sidewalk toward Buli, two guys quietly say to each other, “Hey, isn’t that the guy from … ” As we enter Buli, a young man on a lounge chair shouts at the top of his lungs, “Holy ****!” Then the man jumps up and screams, “It’s the guy from the ‘Real World!’” If that wasn’t enough, he literally points his finger in Renzi’s face and yells, “Yeah, the guy from the ‘Real World!’ Hey, what’s your name?” The hysterical outburst sends a visible shockwave through Renzi. Politely, Renzi tries to acknowledge the excited stranger, but it’s not enough. Finally, Renzi begs the man to stop — that the embarrassing situation has reached its limit. That request does the trick. While inhaling a slice of pie, Renzi talks about the many perks of being an MTV starlet. The “Real World” experience helped usher him into a stint as a male model — working in Italy, Paris and Japan. And in one series of “The Real World/Road Rules Challenge,” Renzi won a new car. But reality-TV fame doesn’t guarantee work — it’s not like film and TV casting directors are anxious to hire untrained actors. As Renzi departs Buli, he wraps an arm around the “Real World” fanatic and poses for a few photos taken with cell-phones. Back on the sidewalk, another young man yells over, “Hey, weren’t you on the ‘Real World?’” With a shrug and a weak smile, Renzi nods yes, but his eyes scream, “Oh no, not again!” Onto a more low-key hangout, we end up at the Male Boxx — just in time for the amateur-strip contest. The nightclub is jam-packed, and the air conditioner isn’t worth a damn. We secure two chairs in the back of the club, and Renzi seems more relaxed. A few fans — and even one of the lithe contestants — recognize him. Renzi wonders why people don’t posses more social finesse. Can’t they just introduce themselves and at least offer their own names? Oh, well — the price of fame. It’s close to 2 a.m., and time to call it a night. But we still need a photo for this article. Trying to get a nighttime shot in front of the Male Boxx sign is a waste of time. But a sweaty and weary-eyed Renzi is a good sport. He agrees to a quick studio-lit photo shoot. We wrap at 2:30 a.m. and say goodbye. Renzi waves as he drives off in the car he won on MTV.
