this thing has more potential then the BET network had. this is going to be huge. Frank knows exactly what he is doing and already knows what the outcome is going to be. He has told us that it is going to be every bit as successful as we think it is going to be.
He has the talent, the know how and the backing to get this to be the best GLBT channel out there. Why? because his heart is in it and he knows what the market wants to see. He is going to make this happen as he has been knee deep into the gay community for many years. he knows what they want he knows what they need and best of all he is giving them exactly those things that they desire in a GLBT network.
He has surrounded himself with the best of the best in the business. He is pulling out all the stops. look at all the media attention we have received in just the last couple of days. This thing is still in its infancy and it is already being talked about on all the major papers, news and talks shows. folks we are going to see things in the next few months that are going to step this up even more.
I see us securing a major carrier before summer, and being listed on a big board before the end of the year. I can see many major investors jumping on this in the very near future. People are looking for the next big stock, and i believe that this is the one that they will realise is going to make them the large returns. We are on this boat at a really good entry point, and i can see where many now holding this stock will never have to work again.

Q TELEVSION AGREES TO COVER GAY DAYS WEEKEND EVENTS ORLANDO - For the first time ever, Gay Days Weekend coverage will be broadcast daily on a national satellite television network.
GayDay . com has signed a sponsorship/partnership agreement with Q Television to offer live broadcasts daily from Orlando. Representatives from GayDay . com were recently at the Q Television Network studios in Dallas discussing Gay Day weekend on the network’s live Out on Q show. The network is also considering producing a documentary on the history of the 15-year-old event.
Q Television now covers all of the nation’s gay rodeos and has signed a partnership to televise the Gay Games in Chicago next summer. The network has also recently signed agreements to broadcast in Canada and Australia, with additional plans to be on Direct TV in the near future. The GLBT television company recently signed a nationwide carrier deal, bringing the network’s programming to 16 million potential viewers by June 1.
The agreement, with Products On Demand Channel Inc., will make Q Television's signature programming available to 107 stations. Q Television programming will be shown two hours daily in an effort to continue the national interest shown by carriers as well as potential subscribers. The signature programs available to be shown in its entirety are Q Television's incredibly popular, Q on the Move and In Focus, two programs that are anticipated to be shown on an unscrambled basis. Thanks for the nice comments, I just read on IHUB and if I see news like this I bring it to you. I appreciate all the news you all bring to the board as well. I am so excited to be where we are on entry in Q. I don't believe we will be here much longer...IMO. Also like whiz says all we have to do is launch. Then I believe we will be the GLBT communities priory network.(i.e.NBC,or CNN) We all are going to be "Rich". I can't wait until it's not just a name...LOL. The guys at work always ask me how it feels to be Rich..Smarta$$' LOL

The programming includes the flagship Starz and Encore brands, Starz On Demand and Starz HDTV.
Verizon will provide Starz On Demand, showcasing more than 100 movies-on-demand per month, and Starz HDTV at no additional charge for Starz subscribers.
"Consumers prefer a choice of uncut, commercial-free movies, so we are particularly pleased to be able to offer our future subscribers an impressive lineup of Hollywood movies including Starz On Demand and all of the Starz and Encore networks," said Terry Denson, vice president of marketing and programming for Verizon FiOS TV.
Edward Huguez, Starz Entertainment Group executive vice president of sales, said, "With blockbuster movies such as "The Incredibles," "The Aviator" and "National Treasure" coming exclusively to Starz Entertainment Group later this year, Verizon will be equipped to market terrific movie programming to movie-lovers in Verizon markets. As part of the service, these movies and more will be free to Starz on Demand viewers."
Verizon FiOS TV will offer customers a competitive alternative to cable or satellite. In addition to video on demand, FiOS TV will deliver hundreds of digital video channels, high-definition programming, music channels, an interactive programming guide and other customer-friendly features via the company's fiber-to-the-premises broadband network, now under construction in parts of 14 states. Customers will be able to buy FiOS TV as a stand-alone service or packaged with voice and FiOS high-speed data services, which are already available in some areas.
The affiliation agreement is the first that Verizon has signed with a premium pay-TV provider. Verizon is also negotiating with other premium services.
Starz On Demand provides free impulse viewing of Starz Entertainment Group movies with full DVD-like functionality as part of the monthly Starz subscription. Starz On Demand offers a steady supply of hit movies including, "Kill Bill: Vol. 2," "Hellboy," "Hidalgo," "Cold Mountain," "The Ladykillers," "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" and "Van Helsing." Hollywood studios supplying films to Starz On Demand include Disney, Universal, Sony, MGM, Paramount, New Line, Revolution Studios and Miramax.

Local women help new network BY RICK FOSTER / SUN CHRONICLE STAFF
ATTLEBORO -- Family values were a priority when partners Veronica Welch and Kelly Cinelli started their public relations and marketing business four years ago.
But that hasn't stopped the up-and-coming businesswomen from taking on a controversial client: The Q Television Network, billed as the nation's only TV service produced by and for gays and lesbians.
Welch, who was pregnant at the time, and Cinelli, wanted to create a business that they could nurture at home while caring for their growing families.
The pair used their writing and people skills to land public relations accounts with a growing number of clients ranging from biotech to homeland security firms under the banner CWR and Partners LLP.
When a mutual acquaintance facilitated a contact between CWR and the fledgling network last year, Welch and Cinelli were energized.
"This was a great opportunity for us to help launch a network," Cinelli said. "We weren't about to walk away from it."
Welch said she considered the implications of working for a gay network in a polarized political climate and decided that she owed it to her children.
"I didn't want to think about them looking back and thinking that I had been judgmental," she said.
CWR and Partners promotes news coverage about the network and fields media inquiries, the same services it provides to most customers.
Q Television network officials were interviewed recently by CNN, CNBC and the Associated Press as well as USA Today.
Some of CWR's other customers include Eagle Broadband, a Texas-based communications company; Advance Viral Research, a biotech firm, and SLS Loudspeakers, a cutting age audio equipment company.
Q, which went live last October, is already operating on a 24 hour, seven-day-week basis and is available by subscription only. About 25 percent of its programming is original.
The channel is currently negotiating with a number of potential cable carriers and is already available in Boston. Welch said plans are already underway to broaden carriage elsewhere in the northeast, including southeastern Massachusetts, and an announcement may be forthcoming as early as next month.
In promoting Q Network, CWR has been quick to differentiate the channel from Logo and Here!, existing networks featuring gay-oriented programming.
Q will be available only on a pay channel basis and will be scrambled so that non-subscribing households don't see it. The network will also steer clear of stereotypes and exploitation, sticking primarily with news, talk and gay lifestyle-oriented shows.
The network is also hiring gay talent, producers and support personnel to make its shows.
Q was devised by gay Seattle businessman Frank Olsen, who saw an opportunity to lift the quality level of television aimed at gay consumers. Scattered gay-oriented programming often were being made on a shoestring by gay talent who were "paid nothing," Olsen said.
"We wanted to do shows that looked like NBC," he said.
While gay themes and characters are emerging in increasing numbers on conventional and cable networks, Olsen said many have been tailored to emphasize general audience stereotypes--with a premium on crotch-grabbing.
"That's not who we are," Olsen said.
Instead, Q focuses on gay attitudes and lifestyles with such shows as "Q on the Move," a program that visits locations around the country to focus on gays in those regions; "Women On Women," focused on lesbian issues; and "Paradise Falls," a gay-oriented soap opera.
In FoQus, a biography show, has already done a close-up on Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank, and "Q on the Move" plans to visit Providence in the near future in a visit that will include a talk with Mayor David Cicilline, who is openly gay.
To promote subscriptions and carriage on major cable systems, Q recently signed a deal with Products On Demand Channel Inc. to telecast "Q on The Move" on up to 107 stations. The show will include an infomercial aimed at potential subscribers and cable providers.
