Goodmorning. Penny, what a game! Did you see Lemuiex bat the puck out of mid air and get it on goal? Holy smokes! The pace of action at both ends was incredible!
It's truely sad they can't agree on anything. Dam players are just to greedy!
I'm stressed just thinking about going through the winter without any hockey. DAM.

Q Television Network Moves its Satellite Signal; Network Announces an Agreement with Firestone Communications
PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Sep 15, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Q Television Network (Pink Sheets: QBID) announced today that it will be moving its main satellite connection from New Orleans, LA to Fort Worth, TX. The satellite change was necessary due to signal difficulties the Network has been having since it began running its programming through RCN on September 8th.
"We sincerely apologize to our valued customers for the delay in programming. The testing we did in August and early September was very successful, so weather related problems are suspected," said Frank Olsen President and CEO of Q Television Network. "The networks main goal is to provide quality programming to its audience and we appreciate your patience. RCN has been extremely helpful and professional helping Q correct the signal problems we have been seeing."
The signal will be moved to Fort Worth, TX via Firestone Communications. Firestone will re-digitalize the signal and send it through to RCN for uploading; once this process is complete programming will return without further interruption.
"We want to thank Firestone Communications, which is wholly owned by the Firestone family, for its support and speed in helping Q correct this problem," said Olsen. "We are also pleased to announce that Q Television Network has made an agreement with Firestone to use its studio and quality personnel to produce some of the network's live programming which is scheduled to start airing in October.
Firestone Communications, Inc., is a privately held media company based in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas. The company launched SORPRESA! as its first digital channel offering which is available on Cablevision, Comcast, Cox, Time Warner, and The National Cable TV Cooperative. The company's Board of Directors includes Peter Lund, former President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Corp.; and Raymond Mason, former Chairman, President and CEO, Charter Group.
About Q Television Network
This television network was organized to create and develop a network devoted to providing television programming for the gay and lesbian community. While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be comprised of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public. The company's programming will be available on a subscription basis to those desiring its programming. The network will broadcast 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Providing distribution via satellite ensures availability of the network across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

How does this affect the viewers in San Fran who can already see it? Are they now cut off or will they still get signal from NTI until the switch? Any thoughts?
Also, could this be part of the Firestone/Bridgestone advertising deal that's been looming?

However, it will probably be balanced with the "glass-half-empty" crowd who sees the PR as just another delay. (scam) Actually, I remember someone bashing yesterday, saying something like, "Next thing you know, they'll say that the hurricane took out their satellite." I can't find it now, but I'm sure we'll be reading an "I told you so" soon.

That maccif guy sounds like the real deal. His comments above were all right on the money, he even spoke about the salellite switch before the PR came out. Lets keep hearing from that guy. Hope he's right about the pr's coming

Profit gains...THANK YOU for that priceless post!! That is superb DD!!!
Sounds like things are a goooo!
Hoping to have a great...green morning...
Need to address one thing:
Nacho, please do not try to make this Board a launching pad for right and left wing views. This is not the place or the format. Thank you....feel like it is okay for people to be a Republican or a Democrat. Thanks...now let play the QBID game!

Does this mean what I think it means?
Firestone family? Firestone Tires? As in that REALLY old rumor about a major tire company advertising on Q?
That was my thought too. Who knows, maybe we'll all get a discount on tires before this is over!
As far as someone doing the "I told you so" about the hurricane issue. It's not such a stretch to have a hurricane wipe out an antennae farm, so before they claim "I told you so" they need to realize that we have the weather channel too! JMHO though.

And this is only one of the many press releases to come...this thing is really going to fly!! Frank, keep this good stuff coming...
