You guys need to know that every scenario has been carefully thought out. Every T crossed. Every i dotted. Every jot and tittle checked. All Ps and Qs minded. I'm ready. Purl, I still haven't heard anybody admit how much they could have already earned playing this thing just a little bit. It's only money I guess. What part was the truth? I only heard what your personal opinion has been so far. Maybe i'm dense, but that much? UH OH if I am.

Newbie or Dig, if the numbers looked good what type of jump in pps do you think you'll see? If they are great I feel you may see .25 jump in pps, okay numbers maybe .15.

The tide is defanitly going out Dusty. Seems like the more diversified you are, the harder you're getting hit. I pulled out of almost everything. I guess I am kind of hoping this next PR will offer some security to people since it seems there are alot of folks looking for a security blanket right now.

I wouldn't want to guess at the moment.. Putting a number out sometimes hinders the stock to go as high as it can go.. My guess is that firm and proven numbers are what we need the most at this moment since it'll relieve some very nervous people in the red zone currently. It may not pop suddenly, but proven financials is the only way to carry us to the true value of this company. Quick or slow way up are both fine with me as it may take the big institutions a little longer to evaluate and to dump their huge investments in.

other boards are more positive than this one on NDOL.....PR will probably be tomorrow or the latest wednesday........canadian holiday today..... lots of folks on the sideliens waiting for soemthing with the market being slow.....if PR today, I say we are looking at a nice run up on it, since folks are looking for soemthing to go on in this slow market.

Probably not.
My thoughts are NDOL will become very volatile after news is released. If numbers are good, share prices may skyrocket beyond true value, which is risky. Look what happened recently and look at GHLT stock, today.
Other thoughts are if numbers are acceptable, about average, many will disappointed and begin dumping possibly driving prices below value.
If numbers are bad, or "something is not right" chances are good share prices will crash, bad.
I will conceed temptation is now fairly strong. My hunch is news will be fairly decent but not as "great" as many anticipate. If this is so, I would expect prices to move up to the one dollar range, which would be just right for news which is ok, shows potential, room for growth in the future, but free of wild claims.
News will have to be credible, realistic, very factual, no hype, no fluff, just good old fashion "these are the facts." Should there be even the most tiny bit of suspicion or something hinky, this stock will crash.
I would be tempted to buy if news is of a nature which will afford stability in prices with a modest upswing in prices. Ten cents to twenty cents per share increase, slow and steady, would be very nice. I like those plays; safe and sane.
Mike Wallace of 60 minutes interviewed Putin not long back. Wallace asked Putin about corruption in Russia. Putin admitted corruption is extremely widespread. This is much like Mexico. A result is people live corrupt, they have no choice but to play the corruption game to survive. My assumption is the major players in this deal are dealing from the bottom of the deck, if not from their sleeves.
Risk factors are simply beyond my personal limits.
However, if this stock becomes stable and shows good potential for growth, I just might buy, just might jump over to your side.

Hawkdriver put it well. Everyone is looking for a safe haven lately. Some of the safer sectors are still gold and gas. If North-West can prove their potential with some solid numbers, this may serve as a good temporary hideout for some of us.

Dig whats killing us right now is the lack of PR plus the actual numbers from both NDOL and NW. Until we see something in black and white it's anyone's guess on the cold hard numbers. Again any company can say "i'm worth 1.3 billion and have "proven" reserves of 200m". But at the end of the day its whats in the real numbers that will make some of us a little more richer or a little more poorer. I can't see the logic in pour my money in this kitty till I see the numbers. Remember wallstreet and shareholders can kill the pps if it doesn't make the grade like parkinn says. I think his words in a email I got was a premium over the 2.17 per share, I'm not holding my breath case I would have been dead by last wednesday waiting on some numbers.
As newbie writes this morning, "He answerd my call and told me that they are still trying to get the 8-k out today. AND that they will be releasing the 10-k at the same time. Parkin said that he had seen the financials and they were sent to the lawyers (who are in the USA) to look over. He was in the process of calling people at home since he is one of the few people working today to track down why there was a delay. He made it sound like they should have already come out today and he was tracking the reason why."
I've seen this response more or less for at least a week. Two weeks ago Parkin said it's been sent to the lawyers and accountants and it looks great". Last week it was " accounts are done and the lawyers have reviewed it."
Now it's been sent to the lawyers (in the US) to LOOK it over and he's calling people at home. Hell if this is such a big merger why would any business man be at home? Anyway the holiday is in just Canada, not the US and Russia.
Another remark I saw that was funny, "he is one of the few people working today". If you are merging your company to make a 1.3B company would you actually be taking the day off when you should have a PR relating to the merger?

Some of the post that are made have to consider the Nord guys to be idiots. Why else would they want to merge with a bunch of crooks or turn down a guaranteed $2.17 a share buyout. I guess we'll have to see.

Team work is key in the coming weeks and months. I'm speaking in general terms..
Mindless pumping or bashing will do nothing but harm.
If we are going to pull out of this thing [ Markets in general ] and make the big scores again, lets do it as adults and stop the childish hype.
Most of us are independent of thought if allowed. Stock Traders are probably A type in the majority.
People need to understand, in this buisness people can have huge ego's and can lash out accordinly..When you loose your temper just say so! we can all understand that little problem!!!! LOL

And yet you have made some rather shocking allegations about Nord Oil in the past. Specifically, Nord Oil is a "pump and dump scheme" whose management is only "concerned about share price" and "may be dumping shares for profit". Furthermore, Nord Oil is connecting itself with a "secretive profit seeking politburo" ,SZNG, who may be corrupt because Russian rules might apply and could face a government takeover. Furthermore, the new entity may end-up holding the bag on less productive oil fields.
Could you please share with us what you have learned in the past two (2) weeks which has caused a remarkable turn around in your assessment of NDOL stock?

That is quite the indictment. This is a company [North-West Oil Group] which would not be allowed to exist in America.
NDOL is making some wild claims and is becoming involved with a secretive profit seeking politburo connected "company."

What rules will apply are as important as what oil fields will be worked, what oil fields will still belong to investors, what oil fields will be added to this buy / merger deal.
Worst case, Russian rules will apply which tells us chances are good for corruption or government take-over of North-West.
Similar to this, worst case oil fields is North-West will assume ownership of productive fields and this new company will end up with the least productive.

NDOL quick responses to share price changes suggests to me their primary concern is just such; share price. In turn, this suggests insiders are protecting their vested interest and could be or are dumping shares for profit. Clearly they are keeping a very close eye on share prices rather than tending to business. That concerns me or would concern me if vested.

ok, this is like the 5th time Parkin has appeared to be late with a PR. I think by now everyone is already used to that....just always expect the PR a day or two later than when Parkin says.......and what might not be figured into the equation here is that Parkin is on time with the PRs, but it is the lawyers who hold it up got aproval and then release it.....so actually, Parkin might be right on with all his timing, but in his mind, he thinks not a release to us, but when he releases it to the lawyers......so though Mr Parkin may release PR on time when he says, it still has to go thru the lawyers, so you might remember that when getting PR timing email response from PArkin

I dont't think I am the only one who is stunned by your apparant sudden reversal of sentiment on this stock when you labeled NDOL a "pump and dump scheme". Obviously, since you are such a shrewd investor, you have learned some new information which has changed your opinion. I am simply appealing to your desire for more good karma to share this information with us.

this is the soap saga it's good to share DD and good to see educated predictionsn if you're on target with your own dd it shouldn't affect your judgement when someone starts bashing or pumping.... goin for beer
