Well I have been gone all day and just finished catching up. It appears that the TA was to blame if they were properly "warned" of the pending screwup. All transfer agents maintain liability insurance as a necessary evil to doing business.

The assets of the agency themselves are also available in the event of liability. It is extremely unlikely that the policy and of course the important part, the policy limits, are public record. Insurance companies guard the policy limits like state secrets unless they realize the limits are blown and then they offer the policy limit immediately in an effort to avoid the resulting litigation expense which they generally bear beyond the policy limits.

The press release concerning halting trading is NOT valid and arguably is a violation outside the safe harbor protection. I am attempting to run down the applicable rules and regs for a company to pull its share from trading. However I am sure that without jumping through the proper hoops the company trades unless stopped by the SEC or the exchange.

I refuse to change my order to Ameritrade to sell all my shares at $5.00. The longer we hold out the more the smoke will clear and the better information we all will have to make a decision. But, as long as my order to sell is in they cannot loan my shares.

Raptor, the photo is great. I should have my graphic artist wife put the hammering fist in front of Wall Street for real or at least the NYSE building. Do you have a link for a high resolution image she could work on.

So, should we sell before Wednesday?

Or wait until the 25th date?

if I get it right, be alert for anything, but don't make rash decisions, especially early. Obviously if sumpin crazy's going up like the eod Fri when glassy popped em 2.5 over ASK, HIT IT, but not with 47 trillion shares---we want to walk this up. Potentially, we ARE the MMs on this deal, well, you get my point. AND don't take a cash position on anything you can't undo in a rewind...Glasss, vets...accurate? the first 40 minutes-1 hr could be very tricky to all but the best, if I'm understanding what the vets are saying? Weigh in, anybody?

we have no choice but to play it as it lies...

i don't have my dividend from scotrade.....
so i'll be able to watch and hopefully learn what their intentions are without getting too excited...

when they took my sell order? i wasn't surpised, but i wasn't that happy either...it just told me that they want the shares BACK....

i doubt that any trades after 1330 on FRI were sells by the MM's but i don't know that....

we (scottraders) MAY have our divvies by the bell. NAS pushed Scott at corporate to call me, and I pushed him to have instructions in place when branch offices arrive...wherever...1 hour before the bell, no matter where they are...to have instructions on their desk...so whatever they get from DTCC at that time...

Raptor, Thanks, I will have her put something together tommorrow.

Has anybody ever figured out the real reason for the Ameritrade personal calls regarding this split?

Just in case you are out of touch:

97 at the airport today.....101 on the thermometer outside the house.

The bluebonnets were late this year.....still good patches along some of the roads.

The republicans in the "Ledge" voted down a bill to name a bypass around Austin after Willie Nelson because he's not a friend to their ways.

So I'm told, once again a Rep from Brazos County tried to get a bill through the "Ledge"to change the name of College Station, since there is no longer a railroad station there and "it is wrong to imply a falshood in the name of a town"..... Once again it failed to pass, since the name also implies there is an institution of higher learning there and that is even more in quetion.

Hi, BuyTex. I didn't spend the day with the margaritas. Sipped a cool one in the airconditioning and watched the Longhorns destroy the poooooooooor aggggggiiiieeeesss then the Rangers out do Astros in a really good pitching duel. Gonna try and make it to the The Ballpark in Arlington (Ameriquest my bum!) again Thursday. Nothing like a cool breeze up high in a real live ball park to make a body understand life's pleasures and bring on a feeling of patriotism (even if half the players come from strange other lands now-a-days).
