"These licensed-image Star Trek products offer true fans a unique expression of their commitment to the franchise. For many years fans have asked for these types of products - or made their own - and we believe the Star Trek audience will embrace the idea which will create a very strong demand," added Mytych.

Hey,...'they wanted them',...I just hope they all buy them now.....

Dear *****: Your comments are noted. May I point out that the Star Trek franchise is a multi-billion dollar industry, currently owned by CBS and enjoys international popularity and recognition with a devoted following numbering in the millions. Star Trek is an American science fiction entertainment series and media franchise. The Star Trek fictional universe created by Gene Roddenberry is the setting of six television series including the original 1966 Star Trek, in addition to ten feature films (with an eleventh in pre-production), dozens of computer and video games, hundreds of novels and other fan stories, as well as a current and very popular themed attraction in Las Vegas, Nevada. The TV series alone is said to be one of the biggest cult phenomena of modern times. We are proud to add Star Trek to our growing list of licensing partners and will continue to aggressively pursue others of similar stature and worldwide name recognition. Best Regards,Tony Fazio Cambridge Investor Relations

LoL it's still cheesy

Yes as a concerned shareholder I just asked what direction they are planning on going in with this trekie business. I see no rain in that question....

Ok,..I got over the fact that it's not NFL, and have accepted this as a good thing. [Smile]

Although it's not 'my thing', I can definitely see this bringing in good revenue
for the company.

Someone went on startrek.com and broke the news on their message boards to
the fans and I hear they're very excited.

Well,...they could very well be PC,...take a 'wild guess' where I read it
and I'll bet you guess it on your 'first try'......

I'll look into it,....maybe I'll come right out and ask them where
they're getting that from.

*Edit: There's '15 different messages boards' on that Trekkie site.

Yeah, I checked all 15 and the only one I saw a post on was the "Books and Products" board. As of now, still no responses.

And Wit, I'm sure I could never guess where that was posted... [Roll Eyes] It's amazing how people post stuff that is so easily verified.

Star Trek....lol....and I thought that T-shirts, coffee mugs, and shareholder buttons were ridiculous...why not license spongebob squarepants or spiderman...this is truly laughable

I live about an hour away from these guys, and I may just take a drive down there next week, just to see who is running this company...

The whole countdown was silly. A countdown to another license agreement... so what, this isn't news, I would expect a company to continue to gather license agreements. Where are the numbers. Tell me how many items have been sold, at what price and the profit of each one. I realize overall the company is not profitable. What are the projections of sales and are we on target to making those projections. Give us real information. This fall in pps is no surprise to me and should not be a surprise to anyone here. Unless REAL information is given to us, I see no reason for this stock to go up. Sorry if I'm negative, I own this stock too however wishing is only for blowing out cnadles on a birthday cake.

Retired, seriously, do you know any "trekkies"? Have you ever seen how loyal those wack jobs can be? In reality, how many football fans would be buried in an NFL coffin? Now how many Star Trek fans would be buried in a Star Trek coffin? I actually think this could be more profitable. Just playing the stock though at this point, and expect it to keep dropping a bit more because of attitutdes of people like you. And as they say "perception is reality".

I agree with prety much everything in your post. In fact, I said pretty much the same thing last week, that withotu some impetus, this will trend downward. Then they had that countdown clock and I go tin for the momentum. Sold this morning, and am waiting for it to settle back down. I thk this is a good play long term, but I sure as hell am not going to hold it long term, since it's a pinky. I'll try to make money on it when opportunities present themselves.

On this ebay Item. Looks like they are also building a website to go a long with the ETIM items they are putting on ebay.

On Sep-13-07 at 13:24:00 PDT, seller added the following information:

Attention bidders: $149.25 will be the maximum charged for this particular urn. This is the price of the urns on our website when we open in a couple weeks. We will be putting at least 2 more urns up for auction in the coming days which will be open till closed. We can't wait to open as the response has been great. Thank you all again.

That actually seems logical since there are more pets than people which seem to be dying. Shorter life span, basically. Time will tell.

As for me, I'd perefer a Photon Torpedo if I was going to be buried but even if you are cremated you still need a rental casket for the wake. Wonder what the rental fee will be for the sports caskets, Vatican caskets, Precious Moments caskets will be???

Hmmm, no matter what, the funeral homes will have to have at least 1 new one and 1 "used" one of each available (or quickly obtainable) once they decide to offer them. That's all revenue. [Eek!]

Just my 2 cents here but just think how many will be bought by the trekkies that collect star trek stuff.
most all of the trek guys buy anything they can find with star trek on it and they are not waiting until they die to get one.
So that might open up a pretty big market really.
I dont know how many trekkies there are out there but most of these guys will be buying them now that they are licened from star trek..
I think ETIM has over done all of their PRs they have put out and over hyped but I still have a few shares hoping it does something..

We should start seeing sale figures released
after the Vagus show and hopefully will be
good enought to make some new highs. Star Trek
fans wanting a peice of the action may give
a boost for next week. Long term really
looking green. GLTA

Thought I'd bring this over here from another board:

This link has a description of the Star Trek urn & casket they will be making.

http://trekmovie.com/2007/09/14/a-good-day-to-die-star-trek-boldly-going-into-fu nerals/

From the article:

"... As you might of guessed, the casket will be a replica of the famous ‘photon torpedo’ casket first used for Spock’s funeral in Star Trek II. Each casket will be emblazoned with the registration number for the original Enterprise (NCC-1701) on the front. The urn is silvery shiny orb that appears to ‘hover between three fins’ and has the logo of the United Federation of Planets on the base. "It is quite striking and not doesn’t look like any other urn on the market," boasts Mytych. "If you saw these products in any of the films, they would totally fit in…they are instantly recognizable as Star Trek."

[Looks like those Trekkies will be 'Beamed Up' in style.] [Wink]
