Eternal Image Signs Distributor for Indiana

Dec 15, 2006 13:06:24 (ET)

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Dec 15, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Eternal Image, Inc. (Other OTC: ETIM), a public company engaged in the design, manufacturing and marketing of customized designer caskets and urns, today announced it has reached a distribution agreement with a company covering the state of Indiana.

Specialty Caskets and Urns of Indiana will carry the entire line of Eternal Image products, beginning with an initial order of Vatican Library Collection(TM) urns (the first products in the line available for distribution). Their agreement with Eternal Image covers the entire state of Indiana except Lake County, which is covered under a previous distributor agreement.

"While Specialty has been newly formed to distribute our products, their President Brian Pyle is well financed, has extensive industry experience and knowledge of selling to funeral homes and cemeteries in Indiana," said Nick Popravsky, VP of Sales and Marketing for Eternal Image. "We are very impressed with Brian's enthusiasm."

The first Vatican Library Collection urns, featuring a design unique to EI, are now available for wholesale purchase. EI expects to roll out at least three additional product lines during 2007 in addition to the first Vatican Library Collection caskets.

EI products will be available through approved funeral homes across the country. Consumers are able to view current and new products on Eternal Image's web site, www.EternalImage.net .

For more information about EI, visit the website or call 1-888-6-CASKET.

I see this moving sideways or dipping even further. I had this position about a month ago when it broke the 10MA, and backed out with minimal loss. Looking at the ADX and RSI...doesn't seem like it is breaking it's pattern...once it moves above 25 on the ADX I will keep watch again.

Dying for a title? Company making team-pride urns, caskets
Story Tools:

Associated Press

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - In the heat of passion, many crazed baseball fans have said they would die for a championship. But are they willing to take that devotion to the grave?

With a new venture that will put Major League Baseball team logos on urns and caskets, the league and a company that makes funeral products will find out just how many fans want to be decked out in their team colors and logos for eternity.
Starting next season, fans of the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers will be able to have their ashes put in an urn or head six feet under in a casket emblazoned with their team colors and insignia.

Major League Baseball has entered into a licensing agreement with Eternal Image, which hopes to eventually make urns and caskets with for all 30 teams. The company also hopes to have similar agreements with NASCAR, the NHL and the NFL, but baseball was the first to sign on.

The $11 billion a year funeral industry has moved to add more personal touches for the deceased, from Harley Davidson-themed caskets to ones featuring the cartoon character Betty Boop.

Kurt Soffe, a spokesman for the National Funeral Directors Association, said the baseball products are part of a trend of trying to capture "the life and the passions of the person that has passed away."

"More and more families are wanting to have something that respects the personalities," Soffe said.

Farmington Hills, Mich.-based Eternal Image, which also makes a line of Vatican-themed products, "wanted to break into a sports venue of some kind," said Clint Mytych, the company's CEO. "It is the all-American sport."

He said he has gotten at least 1,000 inquiries since June.

Susan Goodenow, an MLB spokeswoman, said the league and clubs have received requests for several years for urns and caskets with team logos.

"Passionate fans express their love of their team in a number of different ways," Goodenow said.

The National Funeral Directors Association is meeting in Philadelphia this week and giving its members a sneak peak of what the Major League Baseball urns will look like. Eternal Image says urns for the six teams should be available by Opening Day 2007, and caskets for those teams should be ready later in the year.

That should tell you how people feel about this company... you can't keep printing shares and releasing them into the market without expecting or accepting the consequences... and always at the expense of the shareholder.

Didn't have to look too far to learn this is or has been diluted:

http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/company_profile.jsp?symbol=ETIM

Outstanding Shares: 1,388,316,280 as of 2006-11-30

Authorized Shares: 2,000,000,000 as of 2006-12-11

It is a pink, and it is not easy to prove a pink is diluting, until they update their O/S or you call the Transfer Agent, (if he's not gagged). You will get the arguement from the foolishly faithful that the increased volume is either accuuumulation or the company buying back shares, or the company needs money for euipment, marketing, sales, growth. I prefer the simpliest, and most plausable explanation - DILUTION !

Transfer Agent:
Integrity Stock Transfer, Las Vegas, NV 89120

This might be a clue too :

Capital Change=shs decreased by 1 for 100 split. Pay date=02/15/2006.

They just R/S'd 10 months ago, and again have increased the O/S to over 1.3 billion. This has all the earmarks of a dilution machine. Soon they will be at the treashold of issueing more then A/S, and will either, increase the A/S, or R/S again. They are incorporatd in DE, so you would have to pay for the information on the current A/S, unlike NV and WY.

This is one to be played only. Don't let anyone convince you the company has a future. Imo, it is a dumbass idea anyway, urns caskets with logos. I guess some people are stupid enough to humiliate themselves even in death.

OK so this is my first look into share structure with PK's that have over 1B share count.
There's 2 things in your pot that show 2 of my rules I broke.
1) co 1B+ shares out. I like to stay with co's less than 500M, alot less in fact. Co's with over 500M are good for flippers and good daytraders , neither of which I am , inexperience + cash acct.
2) NEVADA as transfer agent. I'll have nothing to do with Nevada, as far as possible.

Will, so you read they gave 1 share for every 100 back in Feb and now they are back up to over 1B.
Which translates into dilution.
I'll have to take a closer look at the Pink Sheets info from now on. Usually I get the info off yahoo or the co web site, but often PK's do not provide this info.
The PK site offers this much more avaliable.

Thanks for the help.

Another thing that bother me about this co is that you can never get anyone on the phone, only a answering service.
That was yet another red flag for me to avoid this stock, and disregarded.
