In regards to the sunken log quality from Amazon river . . .
Milliam posted this from a past conference call he listened to with Mike Alexander on m n 1 . com.
quote:Originally posted by milliam: Mike...4600 logs were retrieved before and sold as grade A lumber. $1.5bill is based on the average quality from the 4600 logs from before....
Granted, you can say that we should take this information with a grain of salt. But I say, unless there are some wood experts amongst us, let's refrain from the speculation of "rot" and "mold". And let's not forget that FHAL is not the first company to contract the recovery of these logs (i.e. Enviro-Recovery). . . they happened to have some problems along the way that did not allow them to proceed with the venture. But perhaps we just have companies out there that like to recover rotten wood as a past time to lose money.

Ha! Now that interests me!
Doniboy, read carefully. Lot of clues in that article. "woodworkers" not lumber mills.
Words like "gum" "easy to work" all indicate decomposed soft wood. This cannot be used for home construction or other types of construction.
What revenue will be generated from specialty woodworkers making cellos and chairs?
Purl Gurl
the applications are not as limited as you make it sound . . .
Timeless Timber is gaining wide acceptance in its target markets. It has been selected by a growing number of architects for use in numerous high profile projects. Some notable projects which have been completed include: Corporate boardroom at Ford Motor in Detroit, the lobby, doors and board room of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Administration building in Madison, Wisconsin, the President's Club in the NHL Calgary Flames' 'Saddledome' in Canada; the executive offices of Boeing Corp. in Seattle; the lobby at #1 Park Place in downtown Seattle, a focal point in Seattle; and the offices of HIROC, a health reciprocator in Toronto, Canada. Other significant projects that are in progress are at the US Federal Court House in New York; the Getty building in Los Angeles; and casework in a library at the Smithsonian Institute.
Not to mention, they have information pertaining to applications of this wood for countertops, flooring, veneer, beadboard & paneling, among other specialty items.

me thinks folks better google hydroelectric dams in South america.....there is a lot of logs just waiting to be picked up at the bottom of these res-ee-voirs..
Protest free? yepers, in many cases.
You folks ever heard of a little sumpin called mahagony?
Me 'been around , been in, worked as crew, and skippered, some mighty fine Tournament style Sportsfishing Vessels....Lots of mahogany and other fine woods inside and out..Some Asian Companies still use the wood for hull construction.....Ever think about Teak? Asia has rivers, don't ya think they just might have submerged teak just lying around to be discovered?
What about Cypress and Juniper? American locations, submerged in water..
Just in case this stock falls off the perverbial cliff, doesn't mean this kind of play is dead.
Think people! we may be sitting on a Gold Mine underwater if we can find the right company..Think foriegn companies involved with this kind of venture, that are solid and producing, also think long shot posibilities..
As far as I am concerned, common sense indicates money for traders is to be made in this arena of companies involved in wood salvage...
Maybe my line, should be more carefully thought thru here " STANDING TO CLOSE TO THE FOREST" can make it hard to see the rest of the forest!
Have a good day kids.
We have expert analysis, exellant chart readers on this stock, so me is not going babble about such things..Big Picture folks! just look at the pictures in the book...You find the the book, but read it too!
Edits? me spleling..

I'm thinkin it's gunna fill that gap pretty quick.... If it stays down, it will ecounter some intense resistance around 20 cents at 3:00p/m.... if it pops back up sooner tan that,I think that we may get a chance to save our butts(for Purl??).

I would too, I just can't believe that this thing wants to return to where it was before all the merger news started (as if it never happened). I guess I am long here and we'll see what the Merger and symbol change brings.

Possibly....
Theres a great big "Peaser Pennant" that converges three differant ways at that time....I'm sure that some of the support and/or resistance lines in that formation will be breached before then, and we will have to re-evaluate the situation...
I hate the Pennant, flag thing for analysis, but it does have some merritt for timing in the Pennys.IMO

You make a good point about the hydro-electric dams.
They didn't construct them very well and flooded TONS of forest in the process. The dams themselves are encountering loads of problems but if this company gets the rights to fish logs out of those areas could be VERY good for them. Whole sections of forest were submerged without any preperations.
Still want to see proof of liquid capital and see that chart start shaping up.
Holding off today but will watch closely.

They stated bonds in the 8k. Cash on hand is very short. Especially for FHAL. I need more information on that.

oh maybe it's because they are getting what's coming to them. Ask them Doniboy they're pumpers when they want to be a dumpers when it works for them, but they hate when the hands change.
I am just saying don't fall in love with stocks backed by them and PURL. They all run together.

I don't hold that opinion myself but thanks for the thought.
