The first short interest information for OTC securities will be available on July 26, 2006, per Nasdaq’s short interest publication schedule, available on line at: http://www.nasdaqtrader.com/trader/defincludes/nasdshortint_def.stm#pubnew. Each month, on the publication date, Pink Sheets will publish short interest information for each OTC equity stock on pinksheets.com.

money and billis... as per new regulations which came into effect on july 3rd, the shorting on the otc boards must now be reported (or not) to the nasdaq at this link:

http://www.nasdaqtrader.com/trader/defincludes/nasdshortint_def.stm#pubnew.

i believe this list will take effect beginning july 26th (someone please correct me if i'm wrong on that date). the new regulations were created to (hopefully) help level the playing field regarding mm manipulation vs. everyday-joe-investors like ourselves.

a lot of times, even the OTC companies themselves can't be sure of the amount of shorting going on behind the scenes. instead, they just know their stock is being driven into the ground ( the ultimate goal of a shorter ) for reasons out of their control. until it is reported, at this stage it is hard to be sure.

however, with the massive volume lately with this play and smmw, one could surmise with decent technicals as laid out above that the shorters are now scrambling to cover every inch of their previously fat and shorted position. volume on short covers, buybacks, true long positions and now reinvigorated momo can make for quite a play. glty,

So what does everyone think in terms of how much play this has left in it? Seemed like it wanted to explode on Friday, but profit takers kept not letting it get to the next level. Are we ready for new highs monday?

imo, after a nearly 300% gain on thursday, it only makes sense that people would flip big time after/during the initial market jump on friday. clearly, no one can say what it's gonna do, but hope is a curious thing.
i know a lot of people who were in paiv real early thinking it was going to tank and sold out around similar levels that paim is at currently. and while a smart thing to do in the interests of protecting your investment, many posted after the fact that they kicked themselves for selling out at .004 and then had to get back in at .03 to .07 or beyond. (talking exponentially thousands or more dollars lost there.)
summarily, to answer your question... no one in the world knows how much gas this play has left in the tank, but as for me... very bullish and willing to take a small hit vs. reward with all the dough i made of fhal and paiv. glty,

I am a new member here and I use Scottrade, but I think I can explain how the whole thing was supposed to work with PAIM.

I originally bought PRLGF, 100 shares, (I believe that is what the symbol was)last year. It immediately had a 1000 for 1 forward split. Thus the symbol PAIM. Shortly thereafter it had another forward split, again 1000 for 1, but these shares were perferred. I now had 1,000,000 shares of PAIM and 1,000,000,000 shares of the preferred stock. These are shown as 1,000,000 in my portfolio since there are in groups of 1000. The 90% reduction in stock took 900,000 shares of PAIM leaving me with 100,000 shares in my portfolio.

At one time I called Scottrade and asked if I could sell the shares of PAIM (1,000,000 before the reduction) and they said I could, but if I didn't have the shares I was selling they would be short and I would have to make them up.

I think some brokerages were not paying attention to what was happening and allowed people to sell shares they didn't have and this is wre the problem is arising.

I did bought more when it started to move and am loving every minute of it. Can't say exactly who created the confusion but it looks to me like the MM's are really scrambling.

It doesn't matter how much higher it already is, billions of shares need to be bought back. The street.com is comparing this to the run of PAIV. That went up way more than 30 times.

If PAIM increased even close to the surge PAIV saw that would mean a pps for PAIM of .12 Not saying this will happen just illustrating the math.

Yeah, right...it only needs to go up 81% from Friday's high(.0055)to get to .01. And with all the momo, this will go up alot more than that.

Has everyone forgotten that Intimatrader had told us many times not to be worried about paim or the debenture process . Remember how many bashed him for saying paim was one of the safest bets he ever saw . He hated when paim bashers were scaring newbies from buying paim at .0001 ....Because he said it was very low risk against very very very high gain .

How soon we forget about the one that pushed us to look at the whole potential picture of paim an not merely the siiting at .0001 .

He said this would happen .....And they booted him for saying it as most called him crazy for suggesting to newbies to buy paim at .0001 . Intimatrader never budged or backed up ....He said it was only a small bit of time needed befor paim would move .

ON YOUR KNEES and give thanks to the awesome INTIMATRADER . He helped us to wait bit longer with paim ...and now look ..I'm rich .

heheh my reasoning is mainly skeptisism.. i bought in at .0002 and there was a lot of up and down..when it was bouncing up to .0006 at the time, many were saying it would fly, just like now.. all I am saying is to be careful, and dont be surprised if it doesnt go as high..

I am not a basher..on the contrary I have held this for long..Febuary? thats pretty damn long if you ask me.

I have confidence in the company long-term. YES..but how much higher it will keep going NOW? who really knows..this might be the top, or it could go higher..i myself am happy with .01..but if it goes higher..obviously I will be "happier" lol

I also cant forget how in march everyone was saying no reverse split, only up!..well still there was a buyback and **** happens...

Goodluck to all..i ****in hope this is another PAIV from what I hear from everyone..but I havent followed it as I have PAIM...

..and please people..dont put all your $$$ into this.. just incase.. sure there is people saying its a scam or bashing it..but take that as a good thing.. if it doesnt make you think and wonder..then you must be an idiot

Press Release Source: Pearl Asian Mining Industries Inc.

Manufacturing Of Gold Mining Equipment Completed and Shipped From China Today to Cagayan De Oro, Pearl Asian Mining Announces
Monday July 17, 9:26 am ET

MANILA, Philippines--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 2006--Chief Metallurgist Engr. Elvis Hidalgo and VP/ IRO Engr. Gary Gotanco of Pearl Asian Mining (OTC:PAIM - News) reports: The Pearl Asian mining engineering group called "CDO Gold Team" is prepared to receive the gold mining equipment from China. They have been preparing the mine and the gold plant site for weeks to set it up by July 31, 2006. The team has been using manual methods in breaking and preparing the location site by using moil, bareta and sledge hammers and using horses due to the remoteness of the area.

The CDO Gold Team is hoping to get the plant into operation within the first week of August or upon its arrival and obtain the first gold revenues. The funds to be generated will be used to cover overheads, purchase larger and state of the art equipment to break and haul the ores instead of the manual methods currently being used. The Gold Team will be able to explore larger goldveins that contain richer and higher grade gold ores, to build better housing accommodation, mine site office and communication center, medical clinic or dispensary. Pearl Asian will be able to hire additional miners and to increase the production rate from the small scale operations to 100++ tons per day by upgrading and adding bigger capacity of the processing plant.

An 18-20 tpd (tons per day) operation, a safe and environmentally friendly methodology, using specific gravity gold and silver extraction processing plant is designed to extract and to process these gold ores. This initial processing plant will act as a pilot plant for the envisaged full-scale operation, to increase the production rate from 20 tpd to 100-200 tpd.

The Operation CDO will produce gold and silver concentrates containing other precious metals and by-products such as copper and zinc.

It should be noted that "Operation Cagayan De Oro" will be the flagship of Pearl Asian Mining (PAIM) for sometime to come, covering an estimated 7,000 hectares of ancestral domain land. An approximately 20 hectares portion of this small scale mining operation, being permitted, is a joint venture gold mining project between Pearl Asian Mining (PAIM) and the Higaonon Tribes led by Chieftain Datu Joni of the Indigenous Group of People located in the Eastern Region of Mindanao.
