Somebody correct me if I am wrong, or post the correct info. Last year I checked ?wikpedia? regarding the share buybacks. If memory serves me correctly, the transactions must conform to these rules:
no.1 - no more than a certain percant of the daily volume (10%?) may be retired; no.2 - they must be completed during the last hour of trading (mucho AH trades lately); no.3 - a once per week exception to rule #1 can apply where more than the 10% daily volume can be bought back (eg: possibly maybe even MORE than the daily volume.)
I will re-check when I get home to find where that was on the web & re-post for all.
This was part of the pattern during the last so-called 'buybacks'. I am hoping if the shoe fits...GLTA

Another seemingly calm trading day with the Q. Just over 500 million traded with a 75 million buy at .0002 to end the day. I sure hope things are looking up.

Hello, I'm none of those but have been trying to figure all those shares in. My take: If FO or other big holders wanted to get pretty much total control of QBID then the best way to do it is by share manipulation. To use the base 100 let's look at it this way:
Say there was 100 shares total of QBID
FO & friends owned 51 shares
Public at large owned 49 shares
FO & friends change A/S to 200 shares
FO & friends sell their 51 shares at .0004 = .0204 from sell
FO & friends then dump the new 100 shares onto the market plus their old 51 shares and immediately snap them up at .0001 (151 x .0001 = .0151 cost)
That leaves FO & friends with .0053 cash plus 151 shares/200 shares now outstanding = 76% ownership vs. the old 51% ownership AND they can buy 53 more shares with the money left over. BUT WAIT, there's only 49 shares left. ENOUGH SAID.

It could be Frank did not dump it all. It could be he waited all this time to buy back at .0001. Hell, he might have changed the A/S count just to create panic and orchestrate this price drop. From what I am reading about Frank, this guy would do anything. The day the stock really hit .0001, last Friday, a lot of dumping took place. If Frank wanted to dump, he would have made an annoucnement or something to pump up the price, but for some reason he has been very very quiet.
Call me obnoxiously optimistic also, but something good might come out of all this.
E-Trade did not fill yet. I don't think we will ever get filled at .0001 anymore.

DJ: Good to see you back on the board posting positive things. I have had it in the back of my mind all along that if Frank ever wanted to do a big buy-back, he would need to let everyone get pretty upset with him to keep the PPS down while he did it (a big buy-back would take a long time). I have been very hesitant to say anything about it though because this situation has been dragging on for so long now, everyone is pretty fed up with the whole situation, and all we can do is speculate about what might be happening.

Frank is in the drivers seat and is probably assisting the pps to fall and remain very low. I do believe the MM’s are primarily the ones moving the pps down. (Opportunity Knocking?) On Nov. 1st the board of directors met to plan TMM’s financial future. Some 30% of QTN’s “several hundred million dollar” worth can be used to borrow against. The audit was in Franks hands Oct 31st. WOW, I’m using some real “rocket science” here! Let me get out the BIG calculator, 30% of several hundred million $ = 100M? Now, let see, I divide .0001 into, say, 100M. There are sure a lot of big 0’s with this one! I think, I guess, maybe, possibly Frank could (is) buying a bunch of shares. Could it be that raising the A/S to 100B was a ploy to bring down the pps so Frank could buy more? No, Frank isn’t that smart… is he? Great points, Jenn. I guess the easy question is, who is getting filled? Or who GOT filled at .0001? I've seen a couple of people here on the board say they have, but relatively significant fewer shares than were 'dumped'. Anyone keeping track of the other boards hearing of huge fills at 1?
If this crowd ain't gettin' 'em, no one else is either.

The 25% is of the average daily trading volume which is calculated using a period of time, not the individual day's volume. Plus, the conditions are only guidance for safe harbor and not specific rules. Check out www.sec.gov.
However, the talk of buyback is ludicrous. Everyone except "e-traders" were filled at .0001 last week for whatever number of shares they wanted.

One of, if not the main, intent of these SEC guidelines is to ensure that a company doesn’t use a buy back to artificially raise the pps. I don’t think that’s our case. Buying at these levels, Frank would have no problem buying any amount. Of course, all this is JMO.

Guys the question is this.... It is very easy to figure number wise how much he can buyback...in the abstract world, it is easy. Just say yeah 5 million buys how many shares at .0001.
But the question is WHO was selling 22 Billion at .0001.
The probable answer at this point is that a company who is not receving not many, if at all revenues at this point from carriers and has just recently raised the AS from 50B to 60B to 100B.
Now in my personal opinion, i suspect that thinking Frank raised the AS to 100B being a ploy is somebody who is reaching at desperation. No company i have ever heard of raises the AS by nearly 50% to scare off their investors.
Ok, enough of the crap. I really do wonder if i am wrong because so many are positive about something big happening. But realistically, looking from the outside, somebody WAS selling at .0001 and there was nearly 22Billion shares traded at that price last week. Not all those were actual trades we know, but somebody was dumping big time. And the quesiton is WHO.
My question is who else besides the company diluting holds enough shares to sell 22B and at .0001?
I know i can be completely wrong about this, and i have asked DJ, DOC, or IMAK if they know about this cause maybe things arent like they seem.
