"Q" is being built to sell, not right now but most likely within the next 2-3 years. Frank stated that going price for a full network (which we now are) is in a range of 3-5 Billion and anywhere up to 10 or more Billion. Frank did say as an example "Say Time Warner were to buy us out"
If the "Q" were to be sold Frank stated that you can be sure that he would no longer be there as the new company would usually purge the old management.
Frank said that this would allow him to then start the kind of network that he has been avoiding. You can be sure that he is talking about the hard stuff.
"Q" is one of it's kind as we are a live on the spot network and not just broadcasting gay movies, so we are very much envied at this point.
Carriers: We will be getting news of new carriers over the next 60 days and there is no doubt that we will be in 160 markets come the Gay Games in 2006. They have general contract with RCN, COX and Time Warner, however it is up to the local areas to add or drop programming, he did say that sometimes they can only add twice a year.
He was very strong in his statement of having a Sat company soon although he would not confirm Dish or Direct, it sounded more like Dish to me as Direct has Logo.
NO REVERSE SPLIT. There will be no reverse split as long as he is in control.
Buybacks: No planned buy backs at this point, they are using the money of the private investors to fund the company, he stated that these investors are giving upward to $200,000.00 each per month to the operating of the company. He would not disclose the names of the private investors other tha he is one of them.

looks like they are starting to get the structure together for maybe reporting or moving to the next exchange.
nice to see some structure forming
its coming we will see in time. i am still expecting to see something by the 17th at the latest based on the 60 days being business days.

i know it is all speculation. but it is interesting timeing.
in the CC Frank made the comment that he would like to be on a new exchange by years end.
lets face it there have been several hints to that date. we have been saying between the 15-20th now for a month or better as being the date for the audit to be made public.
may all be coincidental may not.
this is all speculation so done ****t on my head about this. ITS PURE SPECULATION.

I noticed the picture was a little jumpy too—especially when they move fast. I think it may be a problem with Cox’s digital cable service—possibly bandwidth problems.
OH BTW, I signed up this morning too and have had it on all day. I took the day off work today because I am having new kitchen countertops installed. I was not able to watch that much, but had it on and have been watching a little here and there when something sounded interesting.
I’ll write something up on what I think and post it.

I'm asking myself the same thing. I'm still very pissed with Frank for taking out another 10 billion shares & allowing a poster uncover & reveal that information here first. will 60 billion shares bury us? At 7.5 billion when half that was his we had a genuine chance at serious money. My original buy in was at .0004! In my very humble oppinion we have no business being here & yet knowing all I do, I'm tempted to buy more! Maybe I really am crazy!

When I called and got my QTN service started this morning it was about 10:00 AM and the first thing I saw was some advertisements and then a movie started. The channel is very upbeat the whole time. The movie I watched (off and on) was called (get this) “Lust in the Dust.” It was a comedy old-time western and the main character played the part of a woman, but was obviously a man. In the story, they were looking for a buried treasure. The movie was entertaining, but not anything I would normally watch. Actually, most of the content wasn’t anything I would normally watch, because I’m a straight man—but I think that GLBT folks would like QTN.
Between shows, when they have some time to kill, they put on music videos; they were very upbeat and entertaining.
After “Lust in the Dust,” the show concrete jungle came on—growing plants in planter boxes (boring).
I saw parts of on Q live, and like Imak said, between guests, etc. they have several guys and a girl dancing around. The guys are only wearing what looks like boxer shorts. They have poles to hold onto while they dance and it is very suggestive. Speaking of boxer shorts, there was a show in where they had a guy that was selling a line of men’s briefs and they had male models showing them. I think my wife would have enjoyed that part, but she was not home at the time. I wonder if they got any money from that guy for showcasing his line of men’s briefs…
There was another show where they had several people telling their stories about when they came out of the closet (sorry, I don’t remember the name). It was pretty interesting, but the sound on the show sounded like it was done by an amateur.
Speaking of bad sound… the show “Odysseys & Ovations” had a problem where the sound of the voices was not in sync with the people talking at all. I didn’t watch the show, but they were in the Virgin Islands and were learning how to weave baskets during part of the show.
They had too many obnoxious advertisements for Queer Edge (Jack E Jett). Young gay folks probably like him, but I’m too old (and straight) and I don’t really like “stupid humor.” The advertisements for his show ended with “Let’s get jackin’.”
QTN World news looked professional and was covering gay issues as you would expect.
Right now there is a show on called “Ultimate combat experience.” It’s a fight show and appears to be a regular fight show with no mention of anyone’s sexual preferences.
I noticed that they do a lot of public service announcements on things like communicating with your kids, and health tips where the message was serious, but the public service announcement was entertaining.
Overall, I think the network is still getting the bugs worked out in respect to looking and sounding as professional as they should, but I think there is definitely some entertainment value in QTN.
I just hope people will think it is worth $10 a month to subscribe. I only pay $10 for HBO, and they give me eleven channels of movies, etc. for that.

you mentioned sound problems. I have to wonder if it is just bugs that need to be worked out with the new link to your carrier or if this is a problem right from the Q studios?
I would hope that they get the kinks worked out before too long.

If/When The Q comes to DC, I will be ordering it as well. I think folks who invest in the company should spend another $7 a month to check it out. It certainly would not hurt the cause.
Of course...I'd like to see some numbers...

If, and this is a big if, but IF the reason for the delay in releasing the audit was to somehow enable you to get us on an exchange, and we see in a few days a new exchange and audit, I just want you to know man, I will not think you are a terrible man anymore. Yeah Rod I know the feeling. I'm getting ready to sell my home and may eventually take a much bigger position.
The best thing about that is that by the time I do close, the audit should already be out. So I'll know for sure before I buy more.

No, it sounded like the sound person was inexperienced. The voices would be all in one speaker sometimes with other (normal background) sounds in the other speaker. It just needed to be mixed better.
On the show where the sound was not in sync, it was probably a technical problem, but had to be with Q as the rest of the shows did not have that problem (Cox setup was the same).
I'm going to work in a few and will be in a meeting this morning, so I won't be able to post anything for awhile.
