Welcome to last July. Q Television doesn't have to compete. They are both two totally different markets. LOGO is like a 24/7 combination of Will & Grace and Lifetime. It's not even for queers.
Q Television has news, morning shows, movies, etc. It's not in-your-face, it's a network by gays for gays. Viacom is trying to sell LOGO to the homosexual community while QBID is offering Q Television to those who keep demanding it.
Two different worlds.
hereTv is just a hardcord gay porno pay-per-view movie station pretty much. It has a solid model, but it isn't going anywhere new.

Well I have about $7k in this at vary prices and am probably down about 90%. May not be much to some but that is a ton to me.
As far as us going somewhere and subs... we dont know but I know this much about the cable business. The various TW branches (they are not really franchises but pretty much the same concept) that are adding us would not be doing so unless the ones that did so first are reporting good preliminary numbers. They may be separate entities but they do share data through the corporate channel. This includes the 4 separate TW companies as well as Brighthouse, which being exTW I am willing to bet they still have the mutual contacts and shared information.
Hell, I have been gone from AOL for 3-4 years and now work in the healthcare software arena and I still speak to folks back at AOL at least once a week.
And no way would someone dump Playboy for a Gay network in this conservative nation without a very good reason! Playboy gets enough backlash as it is and to swap it out for a gay channel in the current political environment is a bold move and speaks volumes as far as I am concerned.

Welcome back Lil!
Very good post Ligge!
You don't dump Playboy for QBID if there was no demand!

I like using this--
LOGO-- a gay MTV (and MTV is getting worse and worse as time goes on...a few shows with a cult following, esp among people my age...but it's getting old fast...the market is getting more and more narrow)
hereTV-- PPV gay network...I think this would be better if here had this as a supplement to a 24/7 lineup... like HBO does...allow people to preview the content and then pay to watch it again...
Q--basically a gay NBC/ABC/CBS/etc...lasting potential...a little something for everyone...and it helps that it is by GLBTs for GLBTs...

I told Dish that I am currently a DirectTV customer and if they carry QTN I will switch to Dish as soon as I can tune it in
Keep those request rolling in to Dish, it does make a difference.

Member Rated: posted 03 November, 2005 09:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- kilerb - I was long on QBID as well. I got in last november just before the big run to .0097. Instead of walking out of the stock with over 15000 off of a 5200 investment, I just exited with a little under 900.
Do your DD. For example it is apparent the QBID CEO diluted and has been very vague with pr's and keeping investors informed.
I'd say sure do DD on a company and if you like it buy into it. When it runs, however, get out with your profits. Don't buy into a dream in the penny market. That was my $4303 introductory lesson to the penny market. Matt -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posts: 952 | Registered: Sep 2004 | IP: Logged |

Member Rated: posted 03 November, 2005 09:15 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When I think about it, my introductory lesson actually cost me $16494 considering the opportunity cost if I had sold at the elevated levels. Do you see how important it is to sell when you have profits? Matt -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posts: 952 | Registered: Sep 2004 | IP: Logged | “
It’s really a tragedy what Frank has done to people who believed in QTN.
