November 3, 2005 NEW YORK (AP) -- CBS, which is about to split away from the Viacom Inc. media conglomerate, has already made its first acquisition deal, agreeing to pay $325 million for a two-year-old college sports network called CSTV Networks Inc.
CBS plans to pay for the company, which was founded by sports programming entrepreneur Brian Bedol, with stock in CBS Corp., one of the two companies to be created by the end of the year when Viacom splits itself up.
Bedol was also a co-founder of The Classic Sports Network, a cable channel that became popular with non-game sports programming such as documentaries and nostalgia shows. That channel was sold in 1997 to Walt Disney Co.'s ESPN and is now known as ESPN Classic.

Under the deal announced Wednesday, Bedol will continue to operate CSTV and report to Leslie Moonves, who will run CBS following its breakup from Viacom.
CSTV was founded in 2003 and currently has 15 million subscribers, offering a variety of sports such as tennis to lacrosse that might not otherwise get big programming deals such as top-tier men's basketball and football.
The deal also includes a network of more than 250 official college sports Web sites that are operated for their respective schools by CSTV, as well as CSTV's own Web site, www.CSTV.com.
Viacom has said it expects its breakup plan to be complete by the end of the year, pending regulatory approvals. Assuming it does, the newly created CBS Corp. will own the TV network, a major radio broadcaster, a group of TV stations and other properties. The new Viacom Inc. will own MTV and a stable of other cable networks as well as the Paramount movie studio.

That is deff good news... unfortunately like everything else, it is going to take some time for everything to get settled. I wonder when GameFlix is planning on getting everything done as far as marketing goes.
And WOW, look at the volume today... I've never seen GZFX with this little volume, well I'm sure I have, but it was a while ago. And all the stocks I am invested in and watching have little volume also. Only other two I have that have moved at all are GWGO and OXFV.

I do note the positives, but any smart, up-and-coming business would Never let their Index Page be a year old without updating it.
That could explain why their Google page rank is 4. I've got web pages with a google PR 4.
My point to all of you is that GZFX needs to get with the program - online.
Yes, the Pilot program is a fantastic thing if it works.
But, when a large company like CC notices just a few of the things I have referenced here for your eyes, i really don't see why they would continue to be partnered with a company that, what, doesn't have enough employees that know how to update their own (Main) Index Page?
That is the biggest error any online venture can do and now you say it's been 361 days since they updated it? Why any company would leave a message like that on their Index page is beyond me - it's nothing short of self-sabotage.
Show me the money!! Show me that GZFX will be able to handle 100,000 new subscribers. But first, change that index page - techno-geeks notice stuff like that and they may be GZFX's potential subscribers - Get it? It's people like me that look for strengths and weaknesses with an online business and that makes or BREAKS that online business.

I couldn't have said it any better than the guys that have already replied to Louie, Louie you are just double talking on a bunch of things, one time you say why don't CC do this, the next day you saying why don't gameznflix do this, one day you saying you don't believe the pilot program is going to happen and you would have to see it to believe it.
Do you have any plans to take your company on the exchange anytime soon? B/C you have everything figured out if you ask me. Maybe you should submit your application to Gameznflix instead of sit back and complain all the time you post something.

Do remember GZFX's primary campaign through CC is in the store itself not really the website. If they want sales through websites then they need advertising on gaming websites and movie information pages not an actual store website. But in the store... those lovely salesmen will get plenty of members signed up to GZFX

Exactly Dudanation you hit it on the head. Louie just for the record they now have 'Rent Games' in the search system to bring up the Gameznflix promo page. You just need to be patient this is a developing pilot program and company for that matter only been in business technically for about a year.

I have never stated anywhere anytime that the GZFX/CC pilot program wouldn't work and that I would "have to see it to believe it."
I am invested in GZFX - if all you want on this board are pumping cheerleaders - go buy yourselves some pom-poms.
BTW, why would I take my businesses to the exchange? I have no interest in doing so - I am self-employed and I am doing fine all by myself - 8 years of internet marketing/advertising and website/design SEO experience pay off big time. It's not easy to keep up with an online business - The net is a constantly changing entity and any business that wants to be successful also needs to know HOW to get there...
There are a lot of good things in the works for GZFX - if they're ready. I hope they are because I plan on making some dough here.
I happen to be a realist, however, and I can see both sides of the coin - well actually there are 3 sides to a coin - let's hope GZFX has that depth...

I don't think so - you all seem to have an agenda and that would be a risky move on my part - it's very easy to "sabotage" a website thru guestbook blogging, spam messages re: particular websites, etc. My hosting providers could easily shut down some sites due to that type of behavior.
That would also lower my page ranks and I would never take that risk.

Femo - I agree....should be looking good here soon....IMO only.....Going to go to a couple of the local stores here in the Columbus, Ohio area to see if they have the displays in store, or at least some info...planning to do this tiday, though I dont know if I can before EOD market...

Looks like it just can't break through the low .0070's here. IMO it isn't going to move until we get a PR, everyone is just waiting. I hope it comes soon, I would like to see a PR updating us on how the whole CC is going before we get the PR with the 3rd Q Financials; this is what I've been waiting for. I do think that we will be very pleasantly suprised when the 3rd Q results are posted.

I don't Have Guestbook links and blog links as I consider them to be "spammy" in the long run they will detract from my image.
What I was trying to explain to y'all is that I wouldn't Give You a list of my my websites because manypeople who are against a particular website will spam it in guestbooks, blogs, et - which I have never done.
I use Google Adwords and Overture (and a few smaller PPC) and word of mouth. That's it.
I don't believe in "spamming" to make a buck. But many uncrupulous individuals do it all the time - and they make 100 or 1000 times what I make every year - but that doesn't matter to me - I have to sleep at night and I will not have my websites splaterred across the net by those who wish to defame them..
I have principles, guys. I don't take shortcuts, I don't rip-off customers, I don't spam - period. I hate SPAM (even the kind that comes in those metal canisters).
Gltya w/GZFX - the next weeks will be very interesting....

I think it is slow and steady ahead as we go up next week. I think those who would have sold under a penny are gone now. So much potential to make serious money over the next couple of months. I love the chart!

I like the chart also I like what Dudanation I think posted in a early post about the company wanting to scare off (so to speak) the ones that would have been looking for this company to be a short, instead they are trying to form it around a growth company. Which is what I love about this company going down the road. I liked the day in my view. I think we head up and will for sure get some kind of update next week rather it is about the CC, 3rd Qrt results, updated website, or maybe the CSTV marketing plan getting underway.
