This is a good thing in my view for us, b/c this shows the market for online renting of games is heating up, if Best Buy tried this a year or so ago and it wasn't successful, but they know it can work b/c they are trying it again but with a modest company Gamefly.
This looks real close to what we are going to be doing with CC in the coming week.
Have a great weekend everyone Talk to everyone monday.

on another board an interesting point was made, it was when GZFX put a PR out about the commercial they were goign to do, nothing big happened to the stock price, but a few days before the commercial was suppose to come out the stock went nuts (the last run)
Right now this could be like the time before the commercial... just food for thought.

Does anyone know what caused the pps of 0.16 (52-week high) and then a drop to where we are now?

The drop happened because all the short term traders (what I normally am) jumped in seeing it fly up and sold like crazy the next day. The non-stop selling caused panic to others so they sold. Therefore the price was knocked to just about half it's value, still not as much as the run itself. The biggest problem after that was the fact GZFX started dilluting and when the price should have gone up up up it got beat down down down. I assumed they would allow a slow rise during the dillution process but instead they just kept beating it down till they got their numbers. Good because it gave us cheaper shares, bad because it scared away a lot of people.
I looked at the "competition" for gamefly up there and they got a small bit of a problem standing up to GZFX. They don't do movies and they're more expensive. There is basically nothing about them economically speaking which would ruin GZFX but just having competition alone can hurt a business a little. Most people are dumb, they'll take the first deal they see. I'm the type that starts browsing for a couple hours to make sure I am really getting the best deal out there. Ads only put ideas in my head.
The only thing I hate about GZFX is their best plan asks for the money up front for the year from what I understand. And even though it's an awesome deal, paying up front scares away many many people. Maybe they only want their guarenteed customers to take the deal since it is really good. (what 20 bucks/month for 6 at a time? That'd fill up my hard drive in one month of ripping movies and games and I've got A LOT of storage space. Anyone want to challenge my numbers? haha)
Overall this is the company that should prevail but yes, there is a lot of competition and it isn't going to be too easy to get out there since there are already companies ahead of them. But lower prices and better service will win them over eventually.
One thing I am disappointed about is their affiliation program. (Yes, I asked the last question on the conference call) They offer it, but only to big websites that will pull in a lot of subscribers at once. And it's difficult to even find out that they offer an affiliation with other websites. I spent about 10 years advertising companies like them on my own websites and those companies just had a "webmaster" link at the bottom you'd hit, check how much commission you make, sign-up, slap a referral code on your site and make money if you send them some sales. Offer affiliation to every webmaster there is and you're guarenteed a lot more exposure than just a few popular websites. But I'm sure the reason whyis they can't handle processing a bunch of little checks/month and keeping the webmaster going with helping out little guys getting their ads going and such. So I see why they wouldn't do it, now. But they really should in the future.
I've rambled enough. All of us know the price is going up next two weeks. Around then I will be deciding whether it's worth taking them long term or bailing out and waiting for another dip. I have a feeling the short-termers aren't done pumping and dumping this one yet until we see it as a very profitable company. And they better be done dilluting!

Thanks Dudanation. That was very helpful and let's me understand more of the company's history. I just started trading a few weeks ago and am still finding my way around.
However, in regards to the affiliate program, that was one of the first things I checked when I looked at GameFly's website. They go through Commission Junction and I got approved right away. So it is not too hard to promote them. However, I agree with you, not every webmaster/website gets approved for Commission Junction, so the volume/size comment you made is definitely correct.
Let's see where this company will go - the partnership with BestBuy will fuel their revenues and I see it as a mid- to long-term investment, not a day-to-day game to play (in regards to the shares).

Yes you are right dc_wonder the last time I checked they wasn't traded (Gamefly). A quick FYI I checked last year when they filed there 3rd quarter report and that was on November 12, so I don't see why we wouldn't get this years filings around the same time, give or take a week.

Here is a stock alert for GZFX on Stockwire.com ----- MIAMI, Oct 31, 2005 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- We like stocks trading big dollar value volume! A very interesting indicator to look for is where the money is flowing into. We have a filter that we watch every morning that shows us "Dollar Volume". We also like stocks that are trading at bargain prices. As of 10:30AM, a couple of these stocks are: (OTCBB: TPLM), (OTCBB: NEOM), (OTCBB: IGPG), (OTCBB: GZFX)
GZFX is an online DVD movie and video game rental business. The Company offers subscribers a Web-based alternative to store-based DVD and video game rentals. For the six months ended 06/30/05, sales totaled $406K up from $58K. Net loss decreased 65% to $1.7M. Results reflect the change in business focus from consulting services to DVD and video game rentals. Lower loss reflects decreased advertising costs and lower consultancy fees.
As a trader, a very intelligent place to put your money, is where the money is flowing into. When you get into stocks that are trading millions of dollars within the first 30-60 minutes of the market being open, chances are you will be able to get out of your position without hurting the stock. These are the kind of trades that you want to get into.
As the saying goes...follow the money!

Third quarter numbers from the information I have been reading around and the information online points to a break even or surplus, b/c for the past three months their expenses has dropped, and their operating cost has slowed down, causing things to flatten out, it all depends on last month numbers in my view which they have not posted on stock information systems site. I guess they are going to either wait until they release there 3rd quarter report. This company is a missle ready to take off in my view, and it starts in November. Once again the gamez begin.

Actually, the last run was caused by the news with circuit city, no?

Great finish for the stock looks like the run is just starting, got a lot of big numbers on the level two chart starting to get active for some reason in the last hour of trading today, On streaming level two chart it showed 0.04-0.08 starting to have some kind of activity for some reason, I have never seen that happen before.

I must admit, a lot of the late buying was my fault lol. Any opinions of what could happen tomorrow? We've been discussing this a lot all around with mixed opinions. The only thing we can agree on is a definite increase in the morning but a little more pessimistic towards the end of the day as the short-terms may be anticipating another profit on us long-termers.

No CBRF2 That post was referring to the huge run back in 2004. The recent run was caused by the CC but that was when Gameznflix was supposed to put out a commercial during the Superbowl.

They need to make a gaming system that just upgrades like a computer. Parts would be cheaper than buying a new system. Things (like graphics) could be upgraded often and then they could take it to the point where you could store your games on hard drives and not load from the damn CD all the time, JUST for initial startup to confirm you really own it.
This is why computer games arrrrre so much better!

We have otcstockexchange.com got GZFX on the watch list for the day. As far as a bunch of selling in the afternoon, I side with stockwire.com when they had an alert on the company and said,
"When you get into stocks that are trading millions of dollars within the first 30-60 minutes of the market being open, chances are you will be able to get out of your position without hurting the stock."
That's my view. So far a flat opening in the level two data, let's see if it changes in about an hour.

I am talking about the run that happened last year with the rumor of the "dude I'm getting a dell" guy being in one of their commercials, it ran this stock from .03 to .15 or .16 i believe.

We also can see ARCA has not showed up yet either, which is another reason it is probably moving like this. I know it we are going to 0.01 and beyound today, I feel sorry for everyone who did load up while it was under valued.
