They capped the rally today and slowed down the volume with this spread on the bid/ask.

quote:Under the terms of the definitive agreement, the company will proceed to issue 180 million shares for 100% of the acquisition of Nord Oil's properties with proven reserves of 15 million barrels of oil and probable reserves of 33 million barrels; a deal valued at approximately $2.5 billion USD. The company will issue said shares post a reverse split of its common shares on a 1:12 basis, resulting in the total outstanding shares of the company to be approximately 216 million shares and where the shareholders of Nord Oil will own approximately 83%.
- approx 216M common shares outstanding after r/s. - 180M of those shares will have been issued and given to Nord Oil. - 216M-180M = 36M after r/s - 36M * 12 = 432M currently outstanding (approx).
From pinksheets: Common stock, $.001 par value; authorized 500,000,000 shares; 30,000,000 preferred issued and outstanding 337,865,401 shares and 0 preferred shares, respectively

There were what?...12M in volume in the 1st hour and just 5M the rest of the day. Remember NITE selling a chit load .031. That is what killed the volume, never recover after that.... if not it could have been a better day...LOL.
Thanks Nite I got a few more in the mid .02's. I think this will staedily go up until they announce the RS. and then it is only 12:1.

cant figure it? tnog is around .044 an oil co. with 3/4 of a billion outstanding, claim to fame- might be pumping a million or so a year from their two? wells, we are sitting on 800 MILLION in PROVEN reserves and another 1.6 billion in PROBABLE reserves with even MORE likely, yet we are doing half the volume and a little more than half the price! go figure! wake up people!! if you are buying on potential then you should be looking real close at this company, 1500 times the potential at little more than half the price!

Does anyone have any production estimates for some of the other oil penny stocks like QOIL, TNOG.
I looked at TNOG and all I could find was that they found oil but no production numbers.

I think the production numbers are scheduled shortly, at least that's what todays PR said for TNOG. Almost reached their annual high today!

Oil remained uppermost in investors' minds amid speculation about how much further crude prices might rise.
After briefly dipping into negative territory, crude for August delivery turned higher, but below the psychologically key $60-a-barrel level hit Thursday, as concern that oil supplies may not be able to meet strong demand persisted.
The front-month contract ended 42 cents higher at $59.84 a barrel, up 1% on the week.

Haven't run the numbers in comparison, but HEC is maybe a good choice to look at as an example of a reporting stock. Harken Energy S&P
Reserves are a tricky thing. There are different calculation and reporting methods and "proved" is, unfortuneately, a rather ambiguous term for oil. This BTSI is interesting and hopefully I can get to the numbers this weekend.
