I know tqn. I was the original group, only lost $40. I didn't make it to the second group for some reason but I don't care. They didn't handle things very well and they over simplified how the stock market works. Only reason I'm bothing to talk about it is because it's in the qbid thread. Any other thread I don't bother with because it just drags you in with everyone else and makes you no better a person. I didn't bother posting anything to pump their picks in the original group because I knew it wasn't my style and would make me sound desperate. I myself will not bother looking at anyone elses pick on this board without them posting some DD with the pick. "Hey this ones running for no reason" isn't going to cut it with me anymore. Even the people in their group are getting screwed royally. I'll end it by saying I believe there is a way that they could accomplish what they're trying to do. They're just going about it all wrong. Lil, and Rod, or anyone else, I'm also concerned about Diana, so please, if you hear anything let me know. I've also called and left a message for her to call me.
Hoping she and her family are safe and OK.

PS--> Hey Air, have you ever read Rich Dad Poor Dad? [/QB][/QUOTE]
OT:
I HAVE. I listened to the whole 12 CD set and read some of his books . I am about to close a property next week. A 4-plex in Nevada. I am so excited! Already the property has went up in value $25,000 in just 1.5 months(the time I have been working through the paper works to close this deal)
Buying investment property is so much more profitable then Stocks. But i enjoy the StockGame still. And I realy think QBID will be HUGE this year AHEAD of LOGO.

Earth_Shaker - That had to be the best book I've ever read. I also read all his other books. I wouldn't have owned 4 properties if I didn't read Rich Dad, Poor Dad.
Best of all, Nothing came out of my pocket. I did 100% financing and incorperated the closing costs into the loan. So the bank paid for the property and now I have tenants paying for my mortgage.
I'm going to sell 1 of them next month, I've owned for a year and I'll be pocketing at least $40,000. Just for doing nothing.
If I sold the one I'm living in, I would pocket $100,000 in just 2 short years!
I love real estate, I love stocks, but yes, Real Estate is more secure.
& YOU DONT NEED MONEY TO INVEST IN REAL ESTATE!

Say the PPS were to jump to 0.05. Do you think it will drop back to where we are now like it did before, or will we take a steady climb upwards?

Earth_Shaker, 1BigTip...I thought my mentioning Rich Dad Poor Dad would bring some comments by others who have enjoyed the book. I was skeptical myself, 'cause the title was cheesy to me, but it was a great read.
No doubt real estate is in a lot of ways where it's at. I know this is the QBID thread, but I wouldn't want all my Q family to miss out on the benefits of investing in real estate. I know my profits from QBID (come on Q!! Bring the green!!!) will be used to purchase rental properties.
GO Q! (C'Mon Frank!!! Hosts! Carriers!)

PS-->Air...you gots a PM!

I just got done reading rich dad poor dad. Very good book - I think I'm going to go pick up the rest of them that Robert wrote. It's amazing he made $40,000 off of a $2,000 loan..
