i dont believe it's exactly cox related. the person who owns this just so happen to have cox hosting their site it seems. looks like individual is working on the front end design, probably hoping to sell the design to Q later on?
according to the marco posts on rb, i believe he stated that a rework of the website is high on their list.

Whoever made the site subscribes to cox cable internet service. Thier username on that service is Pootpoot and that is why it is hosted with cox. All cox internet subscribers should get a small amount of personal web space.

PootPoot has posted on here before. He made that website and actually posted the link on here a while back. If I remember right, he was trying to get Q to hire him to rework their site.

At the moment, the only carrier is RCN. RCN has something like 400k subscribers. If you believe the statistics, somewhere between 3-6% of the population is gay. At the top end, that's about 24,000 people in RCN's subscriber range. Figure many of those will be couples living together, thus sharing their cable, and you're not gonna get all 24,000 of those people to subscribe, so I'd say a GENEROUS estimate is currently around 5,000 potential subscriptions.
Now then, *if* they actually do sign up with some more carriers, you can obviously expand that. But until you get confirmation, 'millions' of subscribers isn't realistic.
Now then, that one pumper guy said that there would be another PR with confirmation of a major carrier before the end of the month, which happens to be today. If you're inclined to believe him, so be it, but I wouldn't jump the gun just yet. Expect the worst, and you'll be ecstatic if it goes well. Expect the best, and you're only setting yourself up to be let down...

There you go again.
Potential customers means "possible"--possible customers. QTN has millions of POTENTIAL customers.

RobinO, OT here but, I think a lot of people have a problem with you, not for so much as what you have to say but, the way you say it. I for one have a name posted to your left. Can't speak for anyone else but, when you start out your posts calling people "Slick" or whatever, kinda' turns me off. We may not post our real names but do offer alturnatives just to your left. Sorry, Just needed to let you know, if infact you do address me, use my name or my SN or just simply quote me and not use any of your pet names you may dream up. K? Thanks, Lil

well then if that is the case then we should not mention visits to the mall or anything else that is not stock related which all of us are guilty of doing at one point or another. as far as this not being a help forum i still disagree with this. I watched as we taught Sunny and Dianna how to use smilies. accordign to your discription that was not acceptable.
I fully expect that if you wanted information on somethign you would ask.
I also see posts of other stocks in here, so there is lots of off topic discussion in here. to point out that one question i think is getting really picky.
my point is ask the question, if someone is willing to help they will. if you dont want to help then dont. but to have a debate over wether the question is appropriate or not is also not appropriate.
that is why i addressed the question with a simple answer. That would have been the end of it
so this is the last that i will respond to this topic.
now back to our regularly shedualed program.
one more trading day this week last day of the sale prices?

It's actually not a help forum, it's a stock forum. It didn't bother me that it was dicussed, but this is the wrong thread for it. I just didn't like how the attitude was basically, "too bad Winsum, get over it". That was wrong and needed to be said.

RCN currently has --> 388,650 <--subscribed customers, but they also still state that:
RCN currently has more than --> 1 million customer connections <-- in the Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., metropolitan markets.
In my opinion, once they regain customer confidence and restructure, the subscriber base will grow quickly.
Not a bad start for an upstart network like Q to partner with. ----------------------------
For comparison, the upstart tv network I am working with, Expo TV, has initially partnered with Insight Cable, which is "owning or managing 1.4 million customers in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio."
That's not much bigger than what RCN could potentially be after restructuring.
----------------------------
IMO we're looking at the bare minimum right now for Q subscribers, and it can only get stronger. Plus, they have chosen a partner that is in the metropolitan areas, where they are more likely to have a target audience.
and as RCN gains subscribers over their "currently connected lines" we'll see progress.
my point is i don't think RCN is as dinky as it's been made out to be, and I think comparitively it is a good launch point.

Once again Boy Blunder is being negative...the absolute fact of the matter is there are millions of gays in the US and we only have RCN AT THIS TIME. The future is bright as this is a "baby network" that is growing.

that may be true that 3% of the population is gay but you also have to factor in that RCN is located in some of the largest Gay comunities around, such as SanFran. where close to half of there subscribers could fall into the target audience.
We are not relying on RCN alone anyway. there will be more carriers before the year is up. The domino effect will quickly start as soon as the first one falls.
IMHO

You're too kind! No, I understand, but everyone is so serious right now. QBID is hovering in the 004's and I just have to cut-up. Thinking I'm a bad influence on the heavy-duty DD'ers, and the more 'focussed' investor...I am like the QUEEN of tangents!

You have repeatedly misused it to refer to people questioning the future of QBID.

This BLOG is a community of individuals with interest in QBID. Stock is the subject but how can this be a community without some knowlege and concern about and for it's members. Mixed with the questions, replys, DD and other information, (positive or negative), it is of interest to learn a bit about folks. As for those who are personally critical or abusive...well in a real community they are delt with in various fashions....Here they can just be ignored........ It's sad to watch this community sort of disolve over time and hope that those who have stopped posting will start again...... As I said , I'm just a lurker, not too knowlegable regards the market or pennies but this board (community) has been (and still can be) quite informative.

Once again you are speaking out of the other orifice... I have never misstated the future of QBID and yes there are Monday Morning Quarterbacks...those that wake up Monday morning (football is played on Sunday, you obviously are to intelligent for this knowledge) and continue to QBID as a loser (U4,YOU, and RobinO). I have no doubts QBID will have success as the major hurdle of getting on the air is done.....get a life!

Why do I care if Bush is against all Gays? This is business and you are mixing politics with it. There is a demand for a product and someone who is taking the risk to provide the service. Get over it.
