Frank Olsen ringing the bell of the NYSE!!! You aren't the first I heard ask that. If he actually was I bet he would screw that up too. That is probably the second funniest thing I heard all day. It started out as a joke, regarding ringing the bell at the Nasdaq. Since the Nasdaq is completly computerized, there is no floor or opening bell..

Here's what they emailed me on 8/24.
Dear
The Nasdaq Stock Market does not have an "Openng Bell" similar to stock exchanges. We have a market open ceremony, which is restricted to NASDAQ companies. Please see http://www.nasdaq.com/reference/marketsite_events.stm. We have no application from Q Television to list on NASDAQ.
Sincerely,
Webmaster, insidenasdaq

First, there'd be an announcement that due to technical difficulties, the ringing would be delayed until sometime in the early afternoon. Then, for a while, our motto would be "All we have to do is lunch".
Then, through rumor and hearsay, we will hear that frank actually DID ring the bell, but we won't be able to find a single soul who heard it.

I was just wondering if you could ask him about any hot stocks that are ready to go up. If I knew of any I would have no need to have you ask. Your friend in suspenders sounds like a knowledgable individual who can help me make a lot of money. I appreciate the help.
