Just remember, everyone... it wasn't "news" as in a PR today. It was a website update, which is only read by the Q crew. Once (if) they issue a PR, then more of the outside world will hear about it.

Then Q should issue a formal pr...where's Deveney? They need the press....this would have been pretty good.

Unfortunately this was not a PR. He should have perhaps released it to the press.
I thought for sure it would surface as one today.
The only one's getting this are board readers and by checking the web site.

It will leak out but would have made for a better PR rather than a letter to shareholders.
JMHO of course.

Penny,
Frank's letter states that info for the general press will be coming out before and after the convention. Perhaps his letter was just what it said it was--an update for investors and a reminder that we have the power to enhance QBID's negotiations RIGHT NOW when it is really important before RCN's first broadcast. I spoke with several different cable companies today. One wanted not only my name and phone number, but wanted to know why I was interested in QTN and if I thought it would be accepted. I told him about the free access for Aids patients, the consumer power of this untapped audience and that QTN would provide a resource for families pertinent to their individual circumstances--such as children of gay parents. I also emphasized that is was not porn--it is a family channel. I also reminded him that MTV/Viacom/LOGO will be airing next year and QTN being first will set the benchmark. In other words--buy from us now or from Redmond later. He took notes and promised to forward my comments to the appropriate persons. I also did some emails. It did not take much time. Actually, it cost me nothing--not even a stamp--and it could possibly pay me big dividends in the future. GLTA Go QBID!!!!

Firefly, I'm sending emails to friends and family members with phone numbers of cable companies to call and request QTN. We have about 15 trading days to go. I'm trying to get all of this done tonight. We're going on our 35th honeymoon this weekend to celebrate our anniversary--boy does that make me sound old! I was a child bride, of course. We got married and then grew up together!

I know everybody needs a break from the market and computers, but I hope all shareholders will give Frank the support he needs to get the best possible deals locked up for all of us. Looking forward to reading all the new posts Sunday. Have a great weekend!

That's too funny. When I saw your post I was going to ask if you've had another martini--boy could I use one today! Still feeling the pain in my finger from pressing the button to sell my TSBB! Killing me. Don't normally drink, but, heck, these pinks, may drive me to the BAR!!! (lol)

Mornin' all, here is the latest response to my constant e-mail for Q TV Network to Comcast, this is the first time I have received this message saying that "it is not available in my area" does that mean they currenly know what areas it will be available in? hmmm

Thank you for contacting Comcast Cable of Reading regarding the addition
of Q Television Network to the Comcast line-up. Currently, that channel
is unavailable in your area.

I'm currently holding only 6.5 million shares. I would have bought more QBID but with such a high O/S, i'm really afraid of a QBID reverse split more than the company failing.

Sonny and others.

Cable, Satelite & other media companies send out 'AUTOMATED" responses. Please understand the difference between that and a personal response. The most usual responses are something in the lines of "we don't have it available but we've added channel from peoples feedbacks."

I do however thank you and others in contacting cable companies. We are the ones who will help QTN lead the way.

Why pay employees when you have investors who can help?

hello everyone I couldnt stay away till monday lol. Q fever got the best of Me. looks like everyone is rather upbeat about the latest news from Q's website. the part I liked the most was when frank said we have signed some cable companies.

I wish I knew which ones but doesnt matter I guess knowing there are other carriers even if they are small ones is definitely a step in the right direction.

I have a feeling the big carriers are gonna sit and watch and see how many of RCN's 486,000 customers subscribe to QTN. which is kinda why I have always expected this to be more of a slow growth long term situation.

still hanging in for a buck though even if it takes 3 or 4 years.

sorry I cant help call the cable companies at the moment cause I can hardly speak had a wisdom tooth pulled.

I had not long ago though called comcast in seattle and cox cable here in oklahoma. I will call direct tv(which I am a customer of) next week and I will call cox again(which I still have my fathers cable service in my name)

glta and hope we land the big fish soon. lol

Haven't posted much since I gave the play by play for the signal test here in Seattle back a couple of months ago. I have Comcast cable and have contacted them twice asking about QTN and both times customer service said they are not aware of any proposed contracts or subscription dates but would make note of my request.

My sister-in-law lives in Philly and she contacted RCN who said that indeed it would be available the first week of September and that they have had a lot of calls regarding QTN. She also saw a RCN cable service truck and stopped to confirm this with the tech which he did.

I know things aren't going to well with RCN financially but personally I think this is a great opportunity for them. They are at a point at which they will be able to help promote and provide a service that none of the other cable companies like Cox, Comcast, Time Warner and such does not provide at this time. Controversy sells. I am sure that once the larger cable companies see's the actual potential that QTN has to offer, and they will also be signing contracts. They are essentially getting a free market analysis for the products potential by observing the response that RCN gets for QBID....good business if you ask me.

I'm in no hurry to sell my shares. As long as the news continues to be good and they keep following through with their actions I will be in. I've traded her for position since February and at this point I am content to sit and watch QBID take off.

My guess is we will continue to see more consolidation until we get confirmation that RCN is actually advertising QTN as a subscription service. We may get one more shake but with Sept. 4th just around the corner it will be short and sweet.

By October I hope we start to see more contract opportunites and Franks acknowledgement that indeed a buyback has taken place....if this is the case then I will make an early conservative prediction of .05-.07 by the middle of October but this is dependant on the number of contracts signed, subscriptions, advertisers and the buyback so if the news keeps getting better we could see a much larger gain. With the election in November and gay and lesbian marriages being scrutinized across the country, QTN has to make this happen now.

Patience is always the hardest part-----best of luck.

I did my part here in Oakland, CA yesterday and called my carrier (Comcast) and requested the Q Television Network. The rep on the phone was not helpful. He asked what I wanted to add, and when i told him and he couldn't find it his attitude went into the toilet. "You can't add it until it launches," he said. I said "I KNOW that...I'm requesting that it be made available to me and I want some record made that I will subscribe the moment it is available." He grudgingly made a note in my folder that I requested it (so he says) and seemed like I was putting him out. Not very cool, since I'm a paying customer of several years, but that's Comcast for you. He would not tip his hand as to whether or not it would be on Comcast (I didn't want to badger him though). He just played dumb and stuck to his seemingly scripted responses. Anyway, I'll call back in a week and hopefully get someone with a pleasant disposition. Emailed info@qtelevision.com with my zip code info per Frank's request. Everyone remember to do that after you call your carrier. Effing Comcast. If they don't carry Q I'm dropping them and getting another carrier. I'm sick of Comcast's overpriced BS and poor customer service. Whoever picks up the Q in my area gets my premium service account. Internet, phone service, whatever they happen to offer, they get my business with Q carriage. Let's tell all our carriers that when we call (in a nice way). Have a good weekend, everybody.

I am just happy QTv will start in San Fransisco and at least parts of New York City. These two large urban-gay areas, starting on both coasts will help make QTv a conversation piece amongst these communities

September isn't that far away and the more and more closer we get to our air date, the more and more I see how far things have moved since Feb. 2004

We are almost there, just a few more weeks...
