Sounds like they may work it through agencies that are already working with those that have the disease, that would somewhat protect their privacy. I think the intention is great, can't have a negative effect that I can think of.

This months PLAYBOY has a story in it about Tyrell Owens saying that Jeff Garcia is Gay.
Wow now maybe we have Gay Allstar NFL Quarterbacks on our side.
Thats great PR stuff to.

Many people from the gay/lesbian community have been trying to gain public interest and funding as well as government funding for more research, medical/hospice care over the past decade. I don't regard the AIDS issue and QTN as a negativity as much as it is a reality. No, not every gay person has aids.....but a lot of people know of someone suffering from this disease. I, however, do think it is a concern to many potential subscribers and I see this issue being validated by QTN, not ignored.

Evidently investors thought Frank's letter was positive...just checked QBID and we UPPPPP to 0055. Not even Sept. 4th yet.

I am curious as to what will actually be shown on QTV (sex-wise). Gay people like to see sex scenes. Does anyone know if Q plans to show nudity - not a porn or anything. Or will this be more along the lines of a clean everyday life channel revolving around gay/lesbians.

In other words - will they get more (hopefully a lot more)out Q vs. something like the sitcom Will & Grace?

Maybe this was overlooked.

One gentleman I spoke to only has 1500 clients, but he received 60 calls asking for Q Television in the last two weeks. He immediately called me and said he wanted to carry Q Television and we are putting his contract together now. !!!!!!!!!

1Big--(lol) I just sent emails to the San Fransisco Examiner and Chronicle...slow going because I have to find everyone's email address. So far, I've contacted Cablevision, and the two just mentioned. Intend to do more...with concentration in CA and NY for now. Believe QTN is going places!

P.S. I thought QTN was focussed more on a family-oriented platform.

Pharm--take care.

I'm in Tampa. We're all hoping it'll track more to the east, that way we'll be on the "left" side of the hurricane, which is the less intense side. Whoever ends up at the eye or on the "right" side is going to get most of the storm surge and most of the tornadoes.

I was born and raised in Clearwater so I've seen a few. Lived out of state since the early 90's. Being a bit of a storm junkie I kind of miss the excitement, although I know how very serious and dangerious these things can be. Projected track map shows it comming right up Tampa Bay, which I'd think would be better than going a little more west. In any event, good luck weathering the storm!

Hi all.
I called 404-comcast in Atlanta and asked if they planned to air Q Television Network this fall. She said there were no added networks. I made a request to add QTN.
She gave me a request line telephone number
(770-559-7680). This has a recorded message which states they count the number of requests. ATLANTA, Please call this number.
770-559-7680

Thanks, firefly. That was a quick call. This is just for the Atlanta area--right? Is there a # for other areas or just call local Comcast? You know, Comcast got a new "cast" at the top July 1. Maybe these new honchos need reassurance that the audience is there and waiting.

Apparently, the request line is only in areas where the local office made a decision to make it available--Atlanta must have already had a lot of calls tying up phone lines. After a long wait, I spoke with a customer rep. who will provide my information to the marketing dept. I think they may be verifying the calls to prevent inflated numbers. That's what I would do too, before adding another network.
