All the boards are quiet today. This feels very strange. PLEASE let this be the calm before the storm!

Thanks winsum!

The numbers caught me by suprise. being they have 400k+ subscribers, One would assume they are charging at least $30/mth for cable so one would think they would be generating 1.2 million dollars a month!

Revenues:

Total revenues for the three months ended June 30, 2004 increased $6,820, or
6.0%, to $121,281 from $114,461 for the three months ended June 30, 2003. Revenues from residential customers receiving voice, video and high-speed data increased $8,139, or 8.0%, to $109,827 for the three months ended June 30, 2004 from $101,688 for the three months ended June 30, 2003. Due to increased competition in all markets, the Company is currently experiencing slower revenue growth than what was disclosed in its previous public filings. While the average number of customers increased slightly for the quarter, services per residential customer increased to 2.46 for the three months ended June 30, 2004, or 7.4% from 2.29 services per residential customer for the comparable period in 2003. The growth in services resulted from increases in network connections for voice, . . .

1BigTip, today reminded me of your stock rule
#4 - Patience.

Thanks Winsum for the chart. Do you remember Ron's post about RCN getting the contract for the Time Warner Condos? RCN has the most bundle services, and those services are providing the company's growth. QBID should provide additional growth, too.

Happy Birthday to all QBID Leos!

bashers read this Comcast to carry QTVN?>
Boy these are sure adding up, Don't forget the phone call i made to Comcast and got "yes Comcast will be airing Q-television" also.

Hi All.

i rarely post, but i value most postings.
while calling Comcast about my bill here in the Philadelphia, area... i decided to ask abt whether they will offer QTV....

The lady says it will happen SOON, no time frame was given... She went further to say we will be advising our customers of the scheduling when its official...
I wasnt sure if she was just making conversation since i had just paid my past due account, so I asked if she knew what sort of a channel it was, so she said I'm not sure but u shld be getting that information SOON once its official...

now she was only a CSR in billing dept... and am not sure if this is all valid,,, but if it is.... I know where my MONEY's AT!!!!!

invest what u can afford to lose... and this is just an FYI coz I appreciate some of y'all's inputs...

just incase... the number i called was
1 888 449 1351

Just checked QBID volume and it was really low today. Doesn't this mean that accumulation is taking place?

i would hope so.

alot of people are waiting to see if there is going to be any PR to confirm all the rumour we are hearing. I would like to see something really soon to indicate that RCN is actually going to air this channel on Sept 4th. we are 2 weeks away and god i would like to see them advertising it like a bugger. if we are going to get subscribers i would think that people need to know that it exists.

i hope that 2 weeks of advertising it will be enough. we have to have subscriber or this is all for nothing.

Lets go Frank Get the word out there. Get the advertising campaign going. we are way over due.

this week is very important to get the word out i would think.

I would feel better seeing it splashed all over the place.

Suzainiee!

Some of them are reliable but really "know" only as much as you & I.

I'm not looking for one tomorrow but some of them are expecting a PR which could send this stock to a penny.

Bottom line,,,

Definition of BuyBack.

What does it mean when you buyback stock?

A buyback stock is stock in a company that buys back a significant number of its own shares. For 50 years, buyback stocks have outperformed the market – sometimes spectacularly so.

Coca-Cola
PPS before buyback $4.80
PPS after buyback $65.00
1,760% Gain

Kellogg
PPS before buyback $8.75
PPS after buyback $70.00
1,072% Gain

Why Buyback Stocks Perform So Spectacularly:

When companies buy back their own stocks, it reflects an enormous vote of confidence in the stock by those who know it best – the company’s senior executives. No one else knows more about the firm’s financial situation, its market share, business plans, research and development programs or new products. However, those executives aren’t talking; they usually keep their plans, tactics and research behind closed doors. But a stock buyback tips you off that the stock is primed to go up.

Frank's letter has been pulled off the website. Why?? Here it is again just in case you missed it.

LETTER FROM FRANK OLSEN, CEO OF Q TELEVISION NETWORK

August 11, 2004

Dear Shareholders,

We just returned from a three-day retreat in Seattle. In attendance were Tim Orden, our in-house VP of Public Relations; Barbara Lamont from our Teleport company in New Orleans; Jeffrey Ory from Deveney, our PR company; Scott Seger our VP of Advertising Sales in New York and representatives from our Investor Relations department. There were also cable company reps there, as well as potential advertisers. We discussed our plans for Q Television over the next 30 days, 90 days and 120 days.

RCN told us today they have been “inundated” with calls requesting Q Television and they are very excited about the September launch. They will begin promoting Q Television on their stations next week and we will also be targeting the RCN cities where Q will be carried.

We have received approximately 100,000 calls over the past two months on our 800 number. The majority of the calls related to the caller’s request for carriage. We believe most shareholders will want to watch Q to see what they own. We are currently in negotiations with the major cable and satellite companies, plus many other small cable companies. Some of the cable companies we have already signed, but you could help with some of the other cable and satellite carriers.

We need you to call your local cable company and/or satellite provider and ask them to carry the Q Television Network as part of the fall line-up. Remember, all such providers have Caller ID, so one person calling 200 times a day from the same phone is not going to help. One person calling every week does help because that just means you are a persistent customer. This doesn’t mean we are desperate, but it will help close the contracts, particularly where management is sitting on the fence. For example, one gentleman I spoke to only has 1500 clients, but he received 60 calls asking for Q Television in the last two weeks. He immediately called me and said he wanted to carry Q Television and we are putting his contract together now. This shows how important your calls are. If the cable company wants to reach Q Television regarding carriage, they should call Rene Schenk and he can be reached on 877-875-6300.

Once you’ve called your local cable company, send an email to info@qtelevision.com and let us know the name of the carrier you called and your zip code. By the way, if you are one of the 100,000 who called our 800 number in the last two months, you will be receiving an automated call asking you to call your local cable company, but you don’t have to wait for that call. Also, ask your friends to call. It only helps.

We will be putting information out in the national press soon. During the week of the national convention it might be slow because the press will so busy, but before and after we will have general press coverage. This helps to raise awareness of Q Television and generates interest therein.

One other item I would like to mention is that we are very proud to announce that we have sponsors in most areas of the country for any people who are housebound with AIDS. We are going to pay for their basic cable and provide the $7.95 per month subscription to Q Television Network at no charge. This means we are truly a gay channel for the gay community.

This weekend we shot pilots for WOW!, Q The Music, Qewsbreak, Q on the Move and Yestergay. Today I will sort through the pilots and daily production will begin next week. Q will be jumping out of the box and ready to go on September 4th.
