We all need to remember, the date was NEVER the 21st. It was the 21st or 22nd. Even when Frank left the message on the hotline, he said "the 21st or 22nd". Luckily, we can all be very anxious for this thing to take off together. Personally, I think the "proof" they said we would get on the 21st or 22nd was the updated hotline. Especially since the hotline says a press release will be put out LATER THIS WEEK. Everyone hang in there a little longer.

June 21, 2004 UPDATE 40 sec.(est.)
Hi thank you for calling the qtelevision network hotline.
Our executives are out of town on business. But here are some highlights of the week ahead.
Steven Grunberg our head of programming has signed a carriage agreement with a major cable company. Details on this will be provided later this week and there will be a formal joint press release. We're also focusing on creating adsvertising campaignes for our roll out.
We'll be dividing our efforts and will place ads in local, national gay & trade publications so look for these to be appearing soon.
We'll have another update for you in the very near future. Thank you for calling.

this is a quote from Frank's June 9th hotline message:
" We are under a lot of confidentiality agreements that we can't release probably until the 21st/22nd. At which time we will be starting our advertising campaign for the network."
There was no promise, it says probably. Not to mention that is says 21st or 22nd. If the PR is to come later this week, then so be it. I'd rather they get it right the first time than to say something today and jeopardize it.
Is this message fluffy? Yes. Did they mislead you? No, you read into things and expected too much.

Would we rather have ONE PR announcing 5 carrier deals, or FIVE PR's announcing each deal as they get signed?
I prefer the latter.

Morning! Just a reminder, the meetings on the last trip Frank and execs took were not only to contact carriers but also with hedge funds to arrange finacial backing. They have said that they were successful with getting some backing and also came away with added programming. QBID is still moving in the right direction to successfully launch.
I dont get how some can hang out on thead that they have no investment in and keep wasting their time if they don't believe in the company or value of trading for profit, waiting for a reasonto get in. There are thousands of other plays out there. I know if I wasn't invested here I would and do have many other options of stocks to play long and short term.

Q Television Network Makes Announcement via COMTEX
June 15, 2004
PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Jun 15, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Q Television Network (Pink Sheets: QBID) CEO, Frank Olsen, announced today that Q executives traveled to New York and Seattle 12 days ago and successfully met their three major objectives, which were:
1) Advertising. Olsen stated that a primary goal was to hire an advertising executive who had worked with the major houses to represent Q Television. Olsen was proud to announce that Q Television has hired Scott Seger, who not only has a solid background with major advertising houses but also on Wall Street and in the television industry specifically. "Scott Seger will be managing our new Madison Avenue office and will be hiring an advertising sales staff to assist him. Scott's experience will enable him to assist us in both the advertising and television areas. Scott's resume can be found on our website at www.qtelevision.com.
The Q Television advertising campaign will begin June 21st
2) Carriage. Olsen said the executives also made great inroads in firming up network carriage and making new appointments for carriage. They will be returning to New York at the end of June and have additional meetings scheduled in Connecticut. "Q Television is definitely on the move."
3) Finance. Olsen further stated that "Q executives signed an agreement to secure interim financing which should be sufficient to ensure its initial launch to the public." Such financing is primarily for the purpose of obtaining new programming, additional carriage and hiring key personnel. "I am sure this is good for the shareholders and it is wonderful for Q Television as we can show the carriage companies that we are a sound, viable company."
Q executives were also pleased to announce the acquisition of a large movie package to add to their programming library.
Olsen also commented on Viacom's (NYSE:VIA) announcement that they will be coming out with their own gay channel early in 2005: "We welcome Viacom to the gay playing field. The Q Television Network will provide news, information and entertainment for and by the gay community, but our objective is to be fun, not controversial. We believe that gay programming should be invited into people's homes by request and that is why we insist upon being scrambled. As you know, the way to be invited is to contact your local cable and satellite companies and ask them to carry Q Television in your area."

Would anyone care to explain this one....ad campaign begins june 21. Flat statement no room for errors....?

The PR states an ad campaign will begin on 21 June. No where in that statement does it say they will name advertisers. It is my take that they are talking about advertising their upcoming launch not naming names. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

If you heard the one hotline message by Frank O. he said he was under a non-disclosure agreement until the 21st or 22nd of June. Now they are takling about a confirmed carrier? Hmmmmm....
Once one carrier signs on, the others will out of fear of missing out. Remember human behavior. If one person has something NO ONE else has, others tend to want it.

I'm in agreement with you AF. I took that to mean that Q would advertise the upcoming launch, not name advertisers. Of course, I took it that way because that's exactly what it states. I don't understand how people are reading into that.

DRagon Master, If QTN put out a single poster, or made a phone call to schedule advertisement in a magazine, these would fulfill the 21st date. I've heard some say that they have seen QTN written mentioned in various places already. This would qualify as a beginning. I don't expect them to be on the front page of the business section of the Denver Post.
The word is getting out about QTN and it's getting done in a cost effective way. Viacom will tell you that!
