Q has stated they have a crew in every major city right now. It doesn't take long to do documentaries, and since marriage is such a hot topic right now, I'm sure that will be a big part of the ongoing programming.
Once they get rolling and people see they are real and viable, then bigger deals will get struck and bigger names will be willing to jump onboard.

When they first talked about a 24/7 G&L station several years ago, they mentioned the line-up of programs would be run for 6 hours during the day and 6 hours at night.
More like a 6-6/7 thing, but it was touted as a 24/7.

I could not confirm any signal going through now on Telstar 7 Channel 1.
They did confirm that since it is Sunday, Sales is out and I would have to call them back during the regular work week hours to see if there was any chance to carry the channel.
One person said that when a new channel comes out they normally get a vendor package that promotes the channel and they haven't seen one of them for this channel.
If you must know, I still own QBID.

My father wotrks for Viacom, I have worked for FOX, CBS, and NBC Sports TV Production. I have worked as a camera crew/utility person. Wireless RF person, ect. You can run an entire network, with no actors, provided you have enough video to play 24/7. That is were the film crews come into play. They can provide b-Roll for sports, News, Politics, special events, live coverage, taped events, parades, fesitivles, carnivals, bar parties, club parties, ect. Multiple film crews can give you tons of video. The B-roll will be kept for any news events.
They maybe buying shows or movies from independent people/agencies. They could have bought an entire 'show' for 50 grand. It all varies on who they bought from. However, it is not hard to film sporting events, I have worked in this field for a few years while I was in College. It is easy because many of the camera people, espically 'free lance' own THEIR own equipment. A 15 thousand dollar camera produces very good video. Many Free lancers I knew al owned their own equipment.
Don't under estimate these film crews...

Hello to All!! I have Comcast for a cable signal here in CO... Has anyone else noticed the SunDance Commercials playing on the Weather and Sci-fi Channels (or others)? I just noticed them playing this weekend, later in the evening. SunDance all gay, all day. Here is the link for their website: http://www.sundancechannel.com/
I don't recall if we've talked about SunDance in the past. Looks like they're currently broadcasting. Would this mean we're not the first gay network on the air??? DOUGH!!!! I'm hoping this doesn't really mean too much to us, as QBID's programming will be so much better. Although it would be a great confidence booster to see a QTV ad on TV.

The biggest thing they are doing this time around is they aren't announcing anything "concrete" ie. carriers, advertisers, etc. until they're ready. Last time they announced all this before most of the contracts were finalized, things fell through, investors lost confidence and QBID was back to .0001. They appear to have learned from their mistakes the last time around, that's something to feel confident about. And having experience with trying to launch once, they know the pitfalls and what to avoid. That's my take on what's different this time around.

As I mentioned before, I think there are bigger hitters out there who have been watching Qbid ever since they popped up on Viacom's news releases. At least they know the name now. Next they see an insert in Fortune Mag.
Then comes the PR that says Qbid has secured enough financing to operate for two whole years, and has gained a presence on Madison Ave. (I personally think that will be the content of the next PR)
I'm thinking that will be the credibility that some have been waiting to see, and some of the blue chippers just may decide to "stoop so low" as to pick up some shares of a their very first pinkie.

But there could be a rush of distribution news in the largely untapped TV genre one thats setting its sights on an audience of some 15 million Americans, who wield an estimated annual buying power of $450 billion in June, Gay Pride Month.
Consider:
here! TV, heretofore a pay-per-view purveyor to direct-broadcast satellite providers that has also scored video-on-demand and subscription VOD deals with RCN Corp., said it will announce several carriage deals in advance of its linear debut this fall;
Q Television Network, formerly Triangle Television Network, is finalizing distribution pacts as it readies for its July 1 debut;
And Rainbow Media Holdings Inc. on June 1 will introduce Divine HD, part of satellite service Vooms multiplex-movie suite, Cinema 10.
Last Tuesday following more than two years of starts and stops MTVN upped the ante in the race to reach the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities.
As MTVN chairman and CEO Tom Freston joked on the conference call announcing Logos coming out of the closet: This was either the worst-kept secret in television or the longest-awaited promise to a very loyal and important television audience.
What remains to be seen is how wide the smiles for Viacom Inc. officials, including MTVN Group president Judy McGrath, will be down the road.
Given the bandwidth constraints, the rollout of any digital-cable services have been tough of late, much less for a channel that brings political, moral and religious issues to the table.
Still, MTVN president of affiliate sales Nicole Browning projects that Logo which is to pool shows from the programmers varied services will have 10 million to 12 million households at launch, with carriage in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta and San Francisco.
Time Warner Cable will launch the service in New York on expanded basic, but at press time it was unclear whether or not the agreement was an MSO-wide deal.
Adelphia executives said Logo will launch in Los Angeles. We think its a great idea. This is an important audience and shows cable is able to offer a wide choice of programming to a variety of audiences, Adelphia spokesman Paul Jacobson said, adding the MSO would consider other launches depending on what the local market conditions are.
Browning declined to reveal a rate card, but network sources pegged Logos licensing fee in the 10-cent-per-customer range.
Noting that Logo will be sold on an a la carte basis or as part of MTVNs digital suite including MTV2, Nicktoons and VH1 Classic Browning said discussions have taken place with many operators.
Were looking forward to learning more about the networks programming and business objectives, Comcast Cable spokesman Chris Ellis said. We applaud MTV Networks for developing a program network that meets the needs of an important group of customers.
Still, despite early contracts and the mainstreaming of the medium the success of gay-themed and oriented shows like NBCs Will and Grace , Bravos Queer Eye For The Straight Guy and Showtimes The L Word and Queer as Folk has been well-documented Logo and the other fledgling services have external obstacles to surmount in a climate riled by the move to legalize same-sex marriage in Massachusetts.
A number of groups, including Christian group Focus on the Family and the Parents Teachers Council, have already voiced opposition to Logo.
Freston said the network, which will adhere to basic-cable editing standards, should be judged on its entertainment value and not tossed around as a political football.
Other genre players, perhaps putting on a brave face in front of the entry from a media conglomerate that wields considerable cable clout, also believe that solid acceptance is right around the corner.
All boats will rise, here! TV president Paul Colichman said, adding he wanted to thank Viacom for its legwork in talking with distributors.
They convinced operators that this niche is a niche, he said.
Colichman, a founder and producer at Regent Entertainment ( Gods and Monsters ), said here! TV will be announcing numerous cable deals for varied and every platform in June.
Currently, Los Angeles-based here! is offering PPV movie titles to DirecTV and Dish Network, but on July 1 will launch VOD and SVOD packages with RCN Corp. in New York, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago and Washington. Although here! is preparing to launch as an around-the-clock linear channel in fall the network has more than 1,500 hours of programming Colichman believes the channel may perform better in the other modes.
Three years ago, operators made it clear that there was no way they were doing a digital basic channel with us, he said. Im not sure so much has changed, but we can generate revenues for operators on any platform.
Vooms Divine HD will feature more than 100 titles described as of interest to the gay and lesbian communities, including The Producers , The Divine Miss M , Les Cage aux Folles 1 and 2 , The Birdcage and Kissing Jessica Stein .
The films will be supported by introductory comments from notable gay personalities, according to Rainbow senior vice president of business development Nora Ryan.
In addition to these introductions, some of the HDivas will present original entertainment segments featuring cabaret-style performances.
Ryan said Voom will promote Divine HD with booths at Gay Pride festivals and other community functions, as well as through radio ads.
Q Television Network, which completed five-hour technical trials with Comcast in the Puget Sound area and Cox Communications Inc. in Louisiana on May 15, will soft-launch on Intelsat Americas 7 Channel (129 degrees West) on June 1.
The mini-pay service, which is looking to charge $6.95 to $7.95 per month, has set its official launch date for a month later. We will have major announcements [in June], executive vice president Steven Grunberg said. Lawyers are dotting Is and crossing Ts.
Grunberg said Palm Springs, Calif.-based Q Television, backed by chairman Frank Olsen, an entrepreneur who was involved in the launch of The Movie Channel and has pioneered African-American and gay radio formats, will provide an array of entertainment and informational programming, including news from a number of bureaus. Talk, travel, fashion and sports (from the Gay Games) as well as documentaries like I Will, I Do, We Did , a film exploring gay and lesbian marriage are lined up.
Calling Logo a Johnny come lately, Grunberg said Q Television will succeed because we are of the community. This network will reflect all aspects of gay life.
Programming authenticity is a concern for some on Madison Avenue. John Nash, president of Moon City Productions, the longtime agency of record for Subaru of America, questions how Logo will be received.
The network will likely be rolled out in urban markets first, and those groups tend to be more cynical, he said. It may not have the authenticity, and word would spread before it rolls out to other parts of the country.
While welcoming Logos prospective reach, Nash also has cost concerns, noting it would get expensive to produce separate TV spots. Is the community going to consider a general-market commercial as a supportive message, or merely a media buy? he asked.
Jean Pool, executive vice president, director of operations, at McCann Universal, said Logo could become a very viable media option: This is not a small group of people. If clients have products with demographic and psychographic matches, we would certainly explore the options.
Out of the gate, Logos programming schedule will begin with 25% original productions and 75% acquired fare.
On the original side, the network claims to have some 40 series and specials in various stages of development.
McGrath said Logo would work with Comedy Central, TV Land, MTV: Music Television, VH1, Showtime and CBS News to develop programming across a variety of genres. Logo has already acquired the rights to more than 100 films and specials from a number of studios.
The network will also launch a subscription video-on-demand service that could be home to edgier fare, possibly including the randy Showtime series Queer as Folk and The L Word .

The following is the list of stations offered by COMCAST in San Francisco. And Q Television is not listed. Rumors are flying that some have signed on for new digital cable packages (with COMCAST) that include Q Television. How would Q Television be offered already when there is no contract verification yet? Let's be realistic and patient. Although after viewing this list I don't see how Q Television couldn't fit right in here eventually. We will see.

Here are some interesting things that I've found on the charts after days of studying it to figure out what's going on with this stock. Ive found some really interesting and exciting historical price movement patterns that tend to replicate themselves throughout the charts past 6 month history. Here are my observations:
It looks like to me that every time that weve had a legitimate breakout the RSI has consistently gone above 60 shortly after breaking out of a downtrend (look at the RSI at the top of the chart) on volume increasing prior to the breakout. This may seem obvious but the RSI of 60 is significant particularly to QBIDs chart if you look closely at when each breakout actually occurred. Look at the squares numbered (1, 2 & 3). Simultaneously, the OBV each time crossed over its signal line. Each time weve had a breakout the RSI and OBV showed these patterns simultaneously. Now, take a look at square # 4. At this point an RSI downtrend had been broken however, if you look below at the OBV it wasnt even close to crossing its signal line so this was a false breakout, because there was no volume there to support the move up. Now heres the exciting thing We are on the verge of reversing out of a downtrending RSI cycle and with some volume will head towards 60 by Monday. In the meantime the OBV is close to its signal line and has the opportunity to cross over it on Monday, this may be a signal that the next leg up is coming very soon. See square # 5. This pattern when accompanied by volume has resulted 3 times in the last 6 months in legitimate runs. In other words when all of the pieces were in place it has resulted in a run 100% of the time thus far. I like those odds folks. The other major thing that I noticed is that during each of those runs the price was above 50 dma. Weve now dipped below it and we need to get back above it before a good run can occur. Did everybody who doesnt believe in charts get that 100% thus far? I cant wait to see what Monday holds. I dont want to jump to conclusions but its looking pretty good right now. Please don't reply with the obvious - "it's all about the news"! News trumps all, and we all already know that! That applies to any stock not just QBID by the way. However, simply acknowledge that the news coupled with a healthy looking chart only enhances the run . Good luck guys.

I don't think Qtelevision said they were going to name carriers or advertisers on the 21st. That was just people speculating about the PR. I think they just said they would be starting a media blitz this week. The hotline update did say they are putting advertisements out, so that is a start. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Q Television Network (Pink Sheets: QBID) CEO, Frank Olsen, announced today that Q executives traveled to New York and Seattle 12 days ago and successfully met their three major objectives, which were:
1) Advertising. Olsen stated that a primary goal was to hire an
advertising executive who had worked with the major houses to
represent Q Television. Olsen was proud to announce that Q
Television has hired Scott Seger, who not only has a solid
background with major advertising houses but also on Wall

3) Finance. Olsen further stated that "Q executives signed an
agreement to secure interim financing which should be
sufficient to ensure its initial launch to the public." Such
financing is primarily for the purpose of obtaining new
programming, additional carriage and hiring key personnel. "I
am sure this is good for the shareholders and it is wonderful
for Q Television as we can show the carriage companies that we
are a sound, viable company."
Q executives were also pleased to announce the acquisition of a

Olsen also commented on Viacom's (NYSE:VIA) announcement that they will be coming out with their own gay channel early in 2005: "We welcome Viacom to the gay playing field. The words "concrete proof" where used then changed later that day, just to be followed by a fluff PR. It was annouced by a phone message by Frank, there was a gag on the info but could be released today. Nothing so far.

Actually I think it was shortly after that. But the message absolutely said "concrete proof" because i got wound up with a smile just to be frowned later that night with the frase "concrete proof" taken out. I am looking for a reason to get back in but see none. I do how ever see a lot of reasons to stay out at the moment. Today was another good example of shareholders being sluffed off. I figured it would be the ultimate reason to buy back in. I still have no reason.

Think of it just in its basic terms...like a carriage. A vehicle of transport. But in our case our medium is not one of cars and passengers but rather of the QBID programming and cable companies to showcase it on.
So when they say they have a carriage agreement with a cable company it means that a cable company has agreed to carry their signal.

I e-mailed these sites info and I e-mailed these sites to Deveney and Frank. Call and ask them. I have done that at least 3 or more times a week since Feb 2, 2004. When Deveney came on PR I just sent to them also the same thing I sent Frank.
I was excited about going to California and meeting Frank and Office staff. Somehow all that got distroyed--along with my friendly relationship with Frank and office staff. I still e-mail information to them. Because of all the calls to the office and embarrassment and bad attention I brought to Qbid with my excitement I am sorry. I did not realize that I was not suppose to tell the truth.
I am just a regular person that told my whole life on this stock board. As they say live and learn. I have learned, but a little to late. I know how to trade stocks but I don't play the other games like you big dogs. lol You win. I quit. I never had a chance at playing your games. I did not ignore the first one or the first many. I am not running. I am just tired. I told you the truth and you do not believe me. I can't help you with that. I had a very good repore with Frank and because of this board--I know longer do now You and others ruined that. I ruined it my not knowing that I was not suppose to tell that we talked. I know that's what I was doing since he started that 3-year QBID thread.
A poster on Allstocks by the username "DARDADOG" had said something about what had been talked about the prior week (on the then current thread). Well that subject had to do with "paid insiders" and posters posting with more then one personality.
I was hoping after 1BIG had put in what was clearly at least 48 hours of work in DD, (I know since I spent 17 hours reading & copying ancient info between 6pm Saturday night to Monday morning 3am... all I did was copy... I didn't sift & give it a time line like 1BIG did.)... Anyway, to the point. I was hoping some kind soul would help us newbies who had no clue what we were trying to find and point us in the RIGHT direction, or just tell us.
I even did a search for bankruptcies through the internet this weekend. ZIP. Courts are closed on the weekend so had to use bankruptcy websites.
So I have no clue why everyone is houling at the moon again. Excitement? Nerves? Disapointed that there is no PR... none was promised for the 21st or 22nd. All I know is that according to a past PR, Advertising is to BEGIN on June 21 or June 22. I would not expect a PR until after the "confidentiality agreement" date of June 21 or June 22.
What all my research this weekend DID teach me is that I will never invest in pennes again. Too goofy. I was staying on the plus side by myself with the exchange stocks and the Fox financial news shows followed by simple charts & RSI.
I'm still clueless, still own QBID, and wishing everyone the best!!
BTW, Diana, Would you care to share with the rest of us your deal with Frank? Especially the 50 million shares + 50 million more and the desire for 5 cents a share? I can post the answer, just giving you the opportunity to come clean.

The hole is still a work in progress. I stayed on here WAY too long yesterday, and didn't have time to dig before the temp hit high 90s. So, I mowed the lawn and chased away the small tribe of pygmys that have set up residence. Looks like the clouds are clearing, so I'm hoping to dig this afternoon.

I came to this board to read what others who are excited about the same investment I'm in have to say. I came to hear how many shares they have, what price they got them at, what they hope to make, what they plan to do with their fortunes, where they're going on vacation, how they'll keep up with the Q while they're on vacation, etc. etc. I'm here b/c I believe I'm in on the ground floor of a successful television network and not b/c of anyone's comments or bashings. As someone who is learning as I go here my observation is this: the point of this message board is to air opinions and research on this and other stocks, so if we did not have varying opinions then what is the point. I know some have resorted to personal attacks and whatnot but that is the point and should not be a reason for anyone to leave. I could have this all wrong but if everyone said thesame thing I would be worried.

I am still looking for a good reason to get in this stock again. I have stated this for the last week. I have been posting my feelings on this and it appears that I am not the only one that has reservations about this stock. I am really going to look into this more. there is a lot to absorb here.

I had my suspicions about you all along. What kind of human being would want there stock to go up in price? The insanity never ends.
My view: Was Diana a "pumper"? Yes to the degree that she believed in this stock. Was she paid? I wouldn't believe it unless you could show me the stocks or cancelled checks. Diana is an ivestor like the rest of us.
She helped me make money on this stock when I was a newbie. She posted helpful information on how to invest in Pennies.
I remember her posting that she had sold when the price reached it's high point. I followed and got out too with a nice profit. If she were a paid pumper, she may have gotten out, but it wouldn't be useful to a pumper to announce their "out" point.
Bash her if you must, but I would miss her input if she leaves. Will I believe everything she says? No, not without DD, but I still want to hear her opinion to compare with others. I will be getting back in this stock when I think it reaches it's low point, but without her here I don't think I will be visiting this board unless it becomes a "Stock Board" again and not a "Soap opera".

I followed your advice and found the tallest tree around. It took awhile but I finally made it to the top. The view is amazing!!!! We are almost at the edge of the forest. I can see an open field in the distance. There is something moving around over there too. Let me grab my binoculars. Oh my!!! The field is full of big bucks!!! What is that? Let me take a closer look. They all appear to be branded with a Q. I almost forgot to tell you that before I found this tree, I spoke to the forest ranger, and he warned me there were some poachers in the forest trying to take down these bucks. So be on the lookout. One last thing. Can someone help me out of this tree. I think I am stuck.
