Insight for those who missed the weekend programming roundup:
"My Girlfriend's Boyfriend", a current Pridevision program, reportedly aired during the signal testing.
Description: Music and Broadway superstar Deborah Gibson (formerly "Debbie") makes her motion picture debut in this hilarious new romantic comedy from Enlightenment Productions. Also in the ensemble cast are Academy Award nominee Valerie Perrine, Jill Elizabeth Novick from Beverly Hills, 90210, Chris Bruno of All My Children and Linda Larkin, the voice of Princess Jasmine in the Disney blockbuster Aladdin. The film features a soundtrack with a title song by Deborah Gibson, and new music by Cyre and ???DADDY??? (members of The Village People).
The story opens with soap opera hunk Cliff (Chris Bruno) about to wed the lovely Cory (Linda Larkin). That they've never slept together -- and that Cliff is rather chummy with best man Wes (Jack Koenig) -- is a good indicator of what's to come. Unwilling to compromise his blossoming career in show business, Cliff wants to erect a heterosexual facade.
Adding to the confusion is maid of honor Liberty (Jill Elizabeth Novick), who turns up with co-worker and boyfriend Jake (Sean Runnette) in tow. In order to escape the wedding (he's got the business opportunity of a lifetime), Jake dumps Liberty by telling her that he's gay. Throw in the bride-to-be's randy mom (Valerie Perrine) and a dishy tabloid photographer (Deborah Gibson), and you've got the ingredients for a hilarious nonstop screwball romantic comedy.

Deborah Gibson exploded on the pop music scene at the tender age of 16. She quickly became the youngest person ever to write, produce and perform a #1 single (“Foolish Beat”), a record which she still proudly holds to this day. Deborah has sold over 16 million albums worldwide to date. Her extraordinary career has garnered her #1 Billboard hits, Platinum albums, ASCAP Songwriter of the Year honors, sold-out audiences around the world and rave reviews for her starring roles on Broadway. - - - - -
Interesting choice of test signal material. Probably because they couldn't show too-gay-oriented controvertial material on the test? I mean, who would complain about Deborah Gibson? (heheah) ~BB

gregg, i appreciate your comments, but we had a minor technical issue with the "reply with quote button" and as I said, no ill will here. Bart does have a huge point when he says a buyout would be very bad. Fortunately, we do not, at this time, have evidence of that forthcoming.
We have lots of evidence that our Q-test this weekend was successful!!!

Good point! I don't know about exclusivity. The movie went to video years ago. It doesn't say it is an "exclusive feature" on Pridevision's website.
ONE CORRECTION: We've both stated it was airing Saturday at 9pm. That's EST. It aired Saturday at 6pm PST.
Still seems awfully coincidental that pridevision was sold and we haven't heard a peep about it since that sale, including who the buyer/broadcaster is. That's what leads me to believe there's a deal we're unaware of as of yet. ~BB
Since there has been rumors in the past about a Pridevision connection with QTV ,I found it very odd Pridevision would be airing the same movie as QTV on the same day. I don't know how a network gains the rights to air a movie ? Is it exclusive or not? You would hope QTV would be very aware of their competition and try stay one step ahead unless of course it's not the competition? If there is no connection and QTV wasn't aware the movie was also being shown on Pridevision we are in trouble.

Come on .03
Your butt still hurts from GFYF. Well I got the perfect stock for you WNMI. After that you want have a butt left. I bought both of those. I finally got out of them with my left nut still hanging on. QBID will solve all our problems though. But I am concerned about a buy out. I will be until we hit $1. These buy outs come when no one expects them. Bang and there is the PR. This is the only thing that I can see that might stop all of us from making a hell of a lot of money. I am not worried about OS, reverse splits etc etc. Nothing but that one thing. But about tomorrow. If we get the PR that I think we will get 1st thing monday. We will put .02 on the back burner forever, I hope. Of course my opinion.

Maybe I am just plan nuts. But after the very good test on Saturday. I would say we are almost 100% sure of a full lanuch. I find it hard to see why people would set on the sidelines that no about this stock and not buy it. It is so cheap here at .0156. (of course I do not think it will open there monday)Why wait, it is going to happen. Get in at these low prices and not at .05 or .10. Even thou, they will be low prices before all is said and done. Old MOE could really run this thing all next week.

Are you guys at all concerned about PRIDEVISION? They look like they really have their stuff together. Programing, great site, etc. You think QTV has something to worry about? They say they are "coming to the US soon". Let me know your thoughts. I am new here.

A little competition could be good for QTV. Without competition, where would QTV know where to set their standards? Maybe competition would make QTV respond better to their consumers, provide better service, AND, more importantly for us, to get their name out there as much as possible in order to beat out competitors (ie. PrideVision) and to appeal to consumers the most. If any competition exists, which I hope there does or will, QTV will have to respond and it will only benefit them as a business...in my opinion.

I think what's important here, and what people just coming back haven't read, is that PRIDEVISION HAS BEEN SOLD to an "unnamed" party.
______________
--> In December, 2003, PrideVision Inc. entered into an agreement to sell the Canadian operations of PrideVision TV. As part of the transaction, which is subject to approval by the CRTC, PrideVision Inc. will retain the rights to develop PrideVision TV outside of Canada, and a 9.9% interest in PrideVision TV’s Canadian operations.
--> Bill Craig (specifically a company he controls) bought Pridevision's operations- not rights to their program development- for $2.6 mil in December 2003. As stated, Pridevision retained their rights to develop programming outside of Canada & a 10% interest in Canadian operations.
PR, Feb 26, Headline Media Group: --> ...In addition, we continue to be excited about U.S. and international growth prospects for PrideVision TV, as we look to secure a strategic alliance to facilitate a launch of the service in the United States."
--> "... Patrick Michaud, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "During the past year, we completed two equity financings, improved EBITDA by $29.4 million, and --> successfully <-- found a partner for the Canadian operations of PrideVision TV.
___________
Frank Olsen gave his first PR on Feb 19th. He began production of the gay marriage documentary Feb 25th.
Just speculation, but the facts are awfully coincidental. And there's that little matter of Pridevision's programming airing on Qtv this weekend...
At this time, we don't actually KNOW who is controlling Pridevision's programming, do we? They never disclosed the detail of the sale, but there is proof of the sale:
--> As stated here in the PR (http://biz.yahoo.com/cnw/040415/headline_media_q2_ern_1.html): Loss from discontinued operations (PrideVision TV) for the second quarter was nil compared to a loss of $0.2 million in the prior year. For the period November 29, 2003 to February 29, 2004, operating losses from PrideVision TV have been included in deferred charges, and will be recognized upon the closing of the sale of PrideVision's Canadian assets. Income from discontinued operations for the six months ended February 29, 2004 was $0.1 compared to a loss of $1.8 million in the prior year due to cost containment initiatives as well as gains on the settlement of liabilities.
---> And if the date of this article is correct, with Headline Media Group having sold Pridetelevision (but retaining development rights with their buyer as stated in the agreement), why would they still be touting a launch of their network in the US? (in an article which MENTIONED TRAINGLE and asked Triangle to comment but they REFUSED!): Gay TV channel projected for later this year Pridevision TV ‘keeping fingers crossed’ as Viacom laments postponement
By Christopher Seely Friday, April 09, 2004
By the end of 2004, U.S. audiences should have access to an all-gay television channel similar to one already available in Canada, according to John Levy, president and chairman of Canada’s Pridevision TV and its parent company, Headline Media Group.
Pridevision, which began airing gay-themed television in Canada in September 2001 and shows in 25,000 homes, anticipates a U.S. launch this fall, Levy said.
“We’re ready to go, and it’s just a matter of finalizing the funding aspect of this,” Levy said. “We’re keeping our fingers crossed, and hopefully we will be able to announce a firm launch date and finally get this lit up down there, which should have happened a long time ago.”
Talk of a gay-themed American channel has been ongoing for years, with at least three companies seriously considering the idea: Pridevision, Viacom and Triangle Television Network.
Pridevision signed a contract with cable distributor Time Warner in early 2003 that grants access to its cable systems in the U.S., but Pridevision does not plan to “launch in all of the markets simultaneously,” Levy said.
Instead, the gay station would most likely start off as a premium channel in which subscribers pay $7 to $10 per month, or have it packaged with other offerings like HBO or Showtime, Levy said.
Because Time Warner distributors do not cover every market in the U.S., Pridevision is now negotiating for a contract with both Direct TV and EchoStar, parent company for DISH Network, Levy said.
“We’ve had talks with both, but we’re further down the road with EchoStar,” he said.
If Pridevision secured a satellite distribution deal, “it would give us availability in all markets in the continental U.S.,” he said.
There's more DD if you look back the last couple pages, but that's the gyst of my speculation. ~BB

---> Rene Schenk, the company’s chief financial officer, said Triangle paid a film crew $5,000 to shoot the footage and will negotiate further once shooting is complete. Written and produced by Roland J. Torres in San Francisco, the film will be the first of many projects to be developed by Red Soapbox and shown on the Triangle Television Network, a subsidiary of the multimedia company. http://www.thedesertsun.com/news/stories2004/business/20040226235743.shtml
---> QGoes:, a Gay-themed reality travel show focusing on destinations of interest to the gay and lesbian traveler, is currently in preprodution and scheduled to commence broadcast in September... In a nutshell, QGoes: combines the travelogue-style half-hour program with the Queer reality show. Would-be guests from across the nation submit home video of themselves attempting to convince the show producers that he or she will be best suited for an all-expense paid 3-day weekend in the City By The Bay. Winning entries will be brought to San Francisco (or one of several other cities slated for future episodes) for a whirlwind weekend of fun, frolicking, and so much more... According to the show's producer Roland Joseph Torres, "the camera's start the moment the guests land, and end when its time to fly home. It'll be fun, fast-paced, sexy, irreverent, way queer, and well done -- just like the City itself." [edit: link http://gay.allknightaccess.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=43 ]
Roland J. Torres of Red Soapbox Media is the producer (co-producer in Qtv's case) of both. ~BB

In addition Q Television Network announced that it reached further agreement for carriage of this sample sneak preview on KHCV-TV, carried on the Comcast Cable system channel 15, throughout Western Washington, including Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and Everett up to the Canadian border, with a reach of 1.6 million households

It's that "up to the Canadian border" that caught my eye.
If I wanted to go into bussiness, lets say making choclate pickles.
What could I do?
1. I could build a pickle factory from the ground up.

Here's my prediction for QBID on Monday. Quick run from .0157 to .02 only followed by the frantic sales of everyone who bought in a month ago after the first run. Close around .016. Anyone remember what happened after we topped out at .028? But hey, this is QBID. Anything is possible. Good luck and happy trading.

I think you ALL are RIGHT. QBID is poised to move a little higher come Monday morning. But I have been watching this stock for SOME TIME now and WE all know that QBID, after a NICE run, likes to go .... lower and lower and lower UNTIL a GOOD PR comes out about the JUNE 1ST Soft Launch or Advertising DEALS etc... So I would guess that next week could be a DOWN week just before the SOFT LAUNCH. WE HAVE SEEN THIS ALREADY. Remember all the Drama on these QBID threads when QBID was going LOWER LOWER LOWER.... Just keep this in mind and dont be surprised if this happens again. After all this is QBID "the Worlds GREATEST rollercoaster"

Sorry if this has been answered, I haven't had time to catch up on the posts...Ameritrade told me that the reason the numbers change on the streamer over the weekends is due to testing. The market makers and brokerages test trading software, etc. so they don't have to influence the numbers during real trading. I have noticed that it always seems to end up being a multiple of the closing number, i.e. close at .0164, streamer shows .164, etc.
