Whew, I hope the fued is over now. I quit going to Ragin Bull specifically for this reason. I think we're all a little beaten up by the coaster ride we've been taking, fluff PRs, No PRs, LOGO tv Prs, etc. So either Diana and Cash need to kiss and make up, or when we go to Vegas, we need to set up a ring and have the first Q televised Smack down... Diana dressed as a man, and Cash dressed as a woman. OPEN high tomorrow and Close higer... repeat as needed.

Of course, maybe Frank just wants to personally ask you to stop sending all those freakin' emails!!!

Agreed. Was here for the same reason...but, I'll probably be coming less and less if all we read is people fighting over.
The only thing I'm sure of is, I made money on this one because some people had the word out about this company (including myself). We tried to draw the line between good information and exciting rumours...sometimes hard to deal with because we all want this to go up since we are making more money everytime.
Now, the more people get excited, the more we see some pumping. That does not help any of us taking decision on holding or selling...and if we all come to a BB to read others, it's because we would like some hard info and a sense of the mood on a stocks before taking a decision.
I'm one of the few here that started a TV station before but the last few times I posted, everyone,s seems to don't care. I'm not offended. I just wonder if now, this stocks in now beeing controlled by daytrader and not investors.
It is. And I now play it like that. I had faith for it to go up to .10 considering all the info I had. It might still get there...but with real ups and downs where many not used to this will loose money.
Now, all the info I'm gonna get here will be to take a decision on if the stocks is in a pumping mode or a dumping mode.
Too bad. It was fun before. This is a different level of trading...one where I can still make money but have less fun...and you can read why in the last few days here.
Good luck everyone. If you have any question about what starting a TV station is like, I would be glad to tell you what I know.

you're a complete moron, catcher.. just keep blabbin'... you're proving my point... and the fact that you are now part owner of a digital camera and a non-existent report... I supposed that "taking one for the team" is a latent fantasy of yours, since you always seem to think of it... b'bye, baaa'aaart....

Come on guys, life's too short for all of this mess. It's so easy to take things the wrong way or say something in haste that is in the written word for which you can be held accountable until the cows come home. I employ the 24-hour rule as well as the KISS theory.
I know your dying to know what the 24-hour rule is, so I'll just tell you. I deal with alot of people on the internet. I've had to teach myself to "sleep on it". If someone ticks me off, I will not react. Instead I respond after a 24-hour cooling down period. It's saved me a lot of grief dealing in this medium.

Looking at the positives again... at least the QBID thread is back to being at the top of the all stocks thread all the time. Getting the attention QTV deserves.
Did anyone get responses from yesterday's incorrect news announcement about Viacom being the first gay and lesbian network? None here, and no mention on today's Bloomberg Report.

[pharmasochist!? ... Oy!]
Yeah I caught the tail end of that jump. It went from .12 to .15 in one shot at the end. and the spread was .10 - .15! Wow, I hate how we have to deal in .0001s! I know it'll all change soon.
I hope you got it all out, man. Special Ed just makes me laugh. But I guess he symbolizes a predjudice you've had to endure for years. That aids comment was off the charts. Sad.

I would watch out for that tomorrow to take a huge crash. I watched it all day go up for no reason, and almost jumped in at .02, but decided not to although I wish I would have for 15 minutes for a 300% profit, then got rid of it. Instead, I bought back into QBID. The orders that went through today were a bunch of small ones that added up to a lot. Something fishy is up with this and I would be extremely careful of getting into it.

well, when your family tree looks like a wreath, what do you expect?... DNA is NOT meant to go round-and-round... let some new blood in, man!
thanks for mentioning it though... it does take the sting out of it to know that not everyone thinks that way

I couldn't find one shred of anything to tip me off as to why this thing went nuclear... I waited too long and then was afraid to dive in... oh well

Most day traders don't realize that there are specific times of the day when the odds for day trading success drop immmensely. One of those times of day is from 11:15 A.M. to 2:15 P.M. EST.
This does not mean that there are no opportunities during this time frame, but rather that the pickings are slim, games are being played by major market participants, and that unless you really know what you are doing, it is probably best to sit on the side lines, get something to eat, observe, and get ready for when the real action starts.
I often refer to this time frame as the "midday doldrums" as stocks for the most part have a tendency to drift into a non-specific, non-directional mode. It is during this period of time that inexperienced traders get whipped around and have their pockets picked by the pros. False starts, short lived breakouts and fakeouts are all common occurences.
Experienced day traders know that it is the first part of the day, and the latter part of the day that have always offered the day trader the very best trading odds. If as a day trader you want to eliminate 50% or more of your intraday losses, you can do this by sidestepping the tricky and difficult to predict 11:15 to 2:15 EST time period.
So what is it that makes this time of day so much different than the rest of the day. This is the time of day when a good part of Wall Street goes to lunch. This is the time when the "big money traders" turn over the reins to the rookies who have very little authority to make big bets on stocks and run with things. It is not until the "big boys" get back from lunch, around 2:15 EST that things start to heat up. Stocks begin to regain some life and direction. This is the time when the large market participants for the most part decide whether to run and gun a stock, or tank it.
The next time you are day trading, keep an eye on the 11:00 to 2:15 EST time period and see if I am right. You'll find that I am right better than 95% of the time.
Next week, I am going to cover specific time frames during the trading day and tell you what to expect in the way of market action during those time frames. You are also going to learn that there are two market opening every day.
You will definitely not want to miss next weeks issue.
Until the next time, The Maverick

Q Television plans soft launch in June 20:33 BST, Thursday 27th May 2004 -- by James Welsh California-based Q Television Network will begin soft-launch broadcasts to potential carriers and advertisers from June 1.
"It has taken more than seven years and millions of dollars to arrive at this day," said Q Television's chairman and president Frank Olsen. "Clearly, the time to launch this network is now, and I am confident that the gay and lesbian community will embrace the unique perspective we offer as a family channel."
The station will broadcast its signal on Intelsat America's 7 at 129°W on channel 1.
Q Television's chief financial officer Rene Schenk compared the station's launch to that of cable news channel CNN back in the 1980s. "Just as CNN had tremendous hurdles to overcome, Frank and Q Television Network have had an uphill battle in the launch of Q Television," Schenk explained. "Q Television is positioned to successfully meet the demand that exists for a gay family channel."
The channel's executive vice president, Steven Grunberg, said that Q Television would offer a product very different to other gay-themed programmes. "This is built by and for the gay community," he said. "Rather than a smattering of stereotyped gay characters offered because current market projections indicate it would be profitable, we offer a channel that will unite the gay and lesbian audience through a network that educates, entertains and informs - a network of real value."

I wrote to Mr. Macias at GLAAD and Mr. Bauder at AP to point out their "oversight" with QTV. I found it interesting that Mr. Bauder neglected to mention Ms. Garry's former association with MTV.
It's amazing what digging will turn up!
BART~ I think this is an open forum, but in my not easily offened opinion, you crossed the line with Pharma! That was a horrible thing to say. Also this is just my little humble opinion, but I do believe that you should invest your conscience. If you have such terribly negative feelings about gays, you SHOULD NOT be in stock that supports a gay undertaking. You're messing with bad karma there.

I have not read all the posts today maybe somebody has already mentioned it, but last night on Jay Leno he mentioned a 24 hour gay lesbian network and then did a joke something about Will and Grace. I wish he would have specifically said QTV or Qbid. I will watch tonight sometimes he does a different joke for a few days in a row. Greenhorn

I know I'm showing my age, but I desperately wanted to be Honey West or Emma Peel when I was a kid.
Even if I didn't like you ever so much, I just thought he went way over the line!
If you are investing in something that just completely contradicts your personal beliefs you're setting up a very weird dynamic around yourself ~ just my opinion.
Hubby is doing very well, thanks so much for asking. His arm seems to be moving a bit more. My goal is for him to be able to arm wrestle for the first round of drinks in Vegas!
