So let's say I bid and win a house. And the house is worth $400,000 right?

NOW here is what I am wondering. Did I just BUY a house... ala ebay? Or did I just WIN a house ala the lottery? VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE.

If I WON the house... aren't I subject to income taxes? Winning a house for $1 is great... but getting hit with 30-40% in income taxes could really knock a lot of people out of the box y'know?

So if someone would clarify that for me... thatnks a lot!!!

It is considered winning, not buying. That's why there is a limitation for Florida and New Jersey residents. Technically, you are *buying* coupons and receiving *free* entry tickets for the raffles.

<<I hope this will help answer your question. I for one am not worried about the taxes. It would be the same as winning the lottery or paying capital gains on your trading profit. There are taxes for everything. LOL.

------------------
--Sweets!>>

Thanks for the info. I guess if I had dug a little deeper I would have found that. I don't think it would slow the stock down at all... however I was thinking of playing some of the raffels. If won the lottery and they decided to take 40% of my winnings that's fine. 40% of a house I won though... that would mean A) I would have to already have that much liquid cash availible... or B) that would mean that I would have to sell the house and pay for the taxes that way. I like the idea of winning the house. But I don't like the idea of having to sell the house imediately... I for one don't have that kind of money to pay those taxes. STIL, if I were trying to win just so that i could imediately sell the place, those are pretty nice odds!

Thanks again,

Here's another question I couldn't find the answer to. What if you buy a ticket for a raffle and they don't sell all the tickets by the deadline. Do you get your money back if you bought tickets? I entered a drawing for a camera that required around 1,000 tickets and not many have been sold yet. Any info would be appreciated.

I totally love thier site. I actually have a few items listed on there to try it out. I currently sell on ebay. The site has been up and down the past few days which has been annoying but when it works it is great and very user friendly. I am sure there are many bugs that will be worked out before June 10, smart that they waited. There are some questions that still need to be answered about the process. This site will go far IMO, in due time. I am def holding long here. Wish I got in sooner. in at .034 Plan on adding more. GO Prizewise! Very exciting!

I like the number of cars and trucks, bigger ticket items, listed on the site. Someone (or several folks) already bought about 100 tickets on the pickup featured there today. Still a ways to go, but encouraging. Beyond the stock, I too am getting stoked about the site just as a site. Good sign. Gonna bid a few bucks on a truck.

Also, prizewise.com aside, I noticed the terrorist threat "uncovered" for this summer is putting the issue of homeland security squarely back in the news. Saw one story that leaned heavily on how emergency response teams, once reliant upon borrowed and rented , and sometimes outdated equipment, now can own their own tools thanks to increases in government spending in that sector. Great time to hear about any government monies coming through for TFCT's pro-mag patches. If that hits while prizewise is taking offf, this company could fly high and fast.

Used to be when you talked TFCT on this board you talked patches government grants, and couldn't get a peep from anyone about prizewise, LoL! How times change. Exciting period for this one.

Seth,

You wouldn't necessarily have to sell immediately or have the liquid cash on hand. If you have decent credit, what bank wouldn't give you a mortgage for 30% of the house's value? I'd kill to only owe 30% on my house! LOL

it was listed but got taken off on may 17th. I dont have any clue why this thing hasnt moved more to the upside...should be past 5 cents by now. the site is moving faster. all we need is an update about more auctions going off. Why isnt there any positive info out on it. I am not at all panicking but it would be nice to see the stock up. low volume again on this....

I do know that they're working on the bandwidth issues, since the site is occasionally down because of it. Also, they will begin airing the tv commercials in early June. I'd expect a HUGE response just from the public checking out the site, and that should make the stock move. JMHO though..

P.S. thanks for the Berlin info

traffic is high and the message on the website states that all bugs/issues should be fixed by 6/1/04... as far as I have seen, the only email for prizewise is customerservice@prizewise.com

Hey Tuffy! How is your day? It's gloomy here in flat land Illinois. I've been trying to purchase another 5,000 shares @.042, and it is not being filled (pouting). Of course, I am still waiting for lowtrades to get my account activated. It's been two weeks. Sheesh. I'm glad I kept scottrade open still.

I've been busy also sending out emails to "frenz" and families about prizewise.com. This is the only stock I have that is in the positive for me. Yippee!

You can email ceo directly at Steve@prizewise.com. I asked him if he was going to release any info on how many more auctions have been complete and how much the value compared to opening day figures.

Has everyone signed up on the site AND purchase some coupons? One suggestion that I have is to go in and bid on items that require VERY FEW tickets to complete their raffles. That way, more items will have "completed" and the stats will be better for press releases and advertisements -- as in "XXX number of raffles COMPLETED since our May 21st launch!".... don't go bid on them all at once either... bid, leave site, go back, bid again on something else... that way site traffic registers higher too... as well as a bids/#visits stat (if they're tracking that)...

Phar...while i like your idea i dont think it is needed. YOu must look long term...ebay didnt become a monster stock over night. I just got a reply back from STEVE and he said site has been suped up to handle the larger traffic. Said 85% of its users not able to do anything for last 3 days. NOT GOOD NEWS. Said they are probably not release news on site till after this weekend when better numbers come in. Just emailed him back asking where and what time the commercials will air.

It may not be needed, but it doesn't hurt to urge people to bid on the site... if you find out specific times/channels/networks, please pass them along!

This is interesting about prizewise.com

I signed up an account must have been a few weeks ago but stopped the sign up process when it got to the credit card information area. Well low and behold I get a call from Prizewise today letting me know they are live and ready to do business. I am really impressed with 21st Technologies.

I put an item on the block and everything worked great. I purchased coupons early this week. The coupons show up under my account. At the top of my account in blue tabs click "coupons" then to the right of "my coupons" page click next, then click "all". Your coupons should appear there. It appears that they only have one coupon retailer at this point "clay crew". I have 15 coupons for "clay crew" $10.00 of each purchase.

I have also emailed customer service twice and received very pleasant and timely responses.
