When I go on ebay, its because I want to get a better price on something I need/want than retail.

If my dvd player breaks, ill go on ebay and bid up to the most im willing to spend, and most likely I will be able to get my a new dvd player in a day or two. I dont want to wait X amount of days just to have a chance at winning a new dvd player.

I really do think its an interesting concept, but it will not be an ebay replacement.

I'm back in on todays news

I don't know how they are generating revenue. Here are some interesting statistics on Prizewize.com from the sources the professionals use.

Alexa rating - 358,201
That is equivilant to about 50 visits/day at most.

Google Pagerank - 1/10
Google doesn't even know the site exists

Marketleap search engine report - 42 links
Neither Google or AlltheWeb have a link to Prizewize. MSN has one link, Altavista has one link and HotBot has two links. Insignificant.

So where's the beef? Where is the revenue coming from? I smell something fishy.

Just adding my two cents....has anyone been to the site and watched the commercials set to air next week? In the background they're playing 50 cent's "In da club"....I don't know if you are familiar with this rapper, but he is extremely popular with the younger crowd! I see this thing skyrocketing over the summer. IMHO......YFC

So basically the stocks looks great but they cant seem to break out yet...even with the positive news yesterday. Why dont they have links from yahoo or other search engines that are more popular like google. Also isnt the cash flow very negative on this stock? I hold a small chunk of shares, and love the idea of the website plus the patents that might get approval from government, but the stock doesnt seem to move like it should with all the positive information out on it. Maybe QBID is the better play if the soft launch goes well. What are your thoughts?

Actually I have been holding TFCT for over a year. I bought them when they were TEXN then they did a reverse split and changed the ticker to TFCT early last year. Hope this helps

Hi,
I posted this on one of the earlier TFCT threads but those here may be interested too:
http://duediligencenet.com/index.html

A website somebody (sorry, I forget who) put together with lots of great DD on TFCT, including thoughts on Prizewise.

I'm holding a bunch of TFCT and very optimistic about prizewise launch next Friday. I don't see them going toe to toe with Ebay, but I also don't think they need to. I think they can be successful on their own terms because they are just unique enough to carve out a market, and they seem committed to pushing it with a good advertising effort. My email asking them when and where they would be launching TV ads went unanswered, but if anyone here knows about that, and could post it here, I'd love to know.
Cheers! GLTA this Friday!

This has really caught my attention. Interesting...

It seems pretty close to the top though at .033. Anybody think it's gonna dip anytime soon?

I went to the site to check everything out... pretty cool systme. However, as someone mentioned before... there are hardly any bids on the stuff. And it's my understanding that if they DON't finish the auctions that the raffel tickets are returned to the participants. Am I understanding this correctly?

Thanks,
e2

So then why is there any bids at all?

Do they have any type of marketing or advertising for this new site?

Will this be a success?
Sounds interesting, but some of the finer details seem sketchy.

Convince me to buy in.

Looking at the chart, it does look good though. I would hope for a rise and then drop after friday as it takes a lot of money to get a .com off the ground.

Got an email from them:

Dear PrizeWise Users:

We are pleased to announce the highly anticipated launch of prizeWise this Friday, May 21, 2004, at roughly 3:00 p.m. PST. We invite all users to post prizes for the launch, and encourage users to begin purchasing coupons and entering sweepstakes Friday.
PrizeWise users will receive five (5) free tickets to their account for every new user they refer to the site. All new users will be asked for the name or e-mail address of the user who referred them during registration, which user will be given the tickets.

ADVERTISING
PrizeWise's advertising campaign will begin full-force June 10, 2004. From May 21 through June 10, prizeWise will be expanding its coupon database and troubleshooting any issues that arise during live operations to prepare for the compounding traffic and users expected once advertising begins.

Has anyone heard what kind of advertising they will be using?

FROM CBS MESSAGE BOARD!!!!

Left message early and he returned my call within a couple hours. It's good when you can call a company like this and they even call back with you. He said he was finalizing the news letter and should be out tomorrow. Said changes happening fast and needed to keep updating news letter. That and the upcoming open of Prizewise sounds reasonable. Suggested a TV commercial on CNBC to Show in front of the investing community. Need to get the word out to the people buying stock. Also suggested to try to get hooked up with a car dealer to do some joint type advertising, get a big ticket item that they could put on as the item of the day or week put on at discounted price to increase the odds of winning. The sooner someone wins get free news paper and TV coverage on the contest site where some one wins a car for 20. bucks. He liked it and was going to bring it up with the rest of the folks. Probably won't see a jump in pps until monday because site opens after market closes. It would be neat to have some one win a big ticket Item in the first week. Any way here we go T-minus a couple of days...THEY TALKED TO A PERSON FROM PRIZEWISE NAME TROY!!
