Funny thing- Magoo, cups and handles, evil MM's and market wires and Dojis and everything else aside, this PR release is FANTASTIC news to me. I didn't see this happening so soon. John Fleming seems to be steps ahead of even my expectations.
What a good idea to enter the market with- DVD's and Games on the same sight and subscription. There's a new niche for you. Let Netflix get all of the publicity and bring this new idea out into the public's eye, then have us come in with a better product/idea and sweep everyone off their feet.....
Woot Woot!

Why is it that all these threads appear, just after GREAT news is announced? Do they all want in, but they don't want the price taking off on them Monday morning? If you don't like the stock, fine. Don't make Allstocks message boards, a bashing board like R/B.

Groovin, I wasn't commenting on you. I was commenting on the other three PGHI threads that all of a sudden appeared tonight, with less than optimistic views. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I just question the timing........I'M here for the long haul too....Good luck to you as well. Just Me

One, there was no public press release. An email was generated to PGHI investors from management to inform them of a future article in Billboard magazine featuring Gameznflix. To everyones surprise someone posted the email.
Two, being the article is in a magazine, my hunch is that it is already printed and getting ready for circulation to the subscriber base and then finally hitting news stands. If I am correct, this would be a possible answer to the date of January 31st and the author saying quote "A Netflix representative could not be reached for comment by press time". The article is already in print. This is a magazine, not a daily newspaper.
These are my thoughts on this matter. Please interject with some other possible scenarios if you like. - Marty

pghi i think does have a future--although i am not now invested in this stock--more then likely i will after it breaks--no loose $$ right now in account. DD ?? try going www pghi.biz and clicking on investor relations or just do a search on Equitilink (of la jolla ca.) or just try ht tp://ww w.equitilinkpr.com/services.html and read some of their services they offer and think about some of the "early" pr's that have come of late. i think pghi has a fairly promising future ahead--and doesn't need some of the posts here recently. i know i am gonna get flamed-- but people--THINK! wonder how many new names lately are just that--names--not new faces..........steve (just put on my fireproof undies....waiting)

The exposure from Yahoo and Reuters is very good. Yah see we all know what we are looking for, so we go to search and viola. What we needed was front page section exposure. Well it is there check it out below. No doubt about it the article was released today the 24th by Billboard. The January 31st date, I don't know what that is about? Anyway very good exposure this weekend. -
YAHOO link removed sorry REUTERS link removed sorry

For what its worth, the web site "should" be up in a week or two. As we approach, there is no doubt in my mind that the launch will drive the stock up. Buying at these levels is a no-brainer for me. Regardless of the value of the company, a new site ALWAYS brings a rise in price. Easy money and buying more Monday.

I'd say look out for it being up this week!

Cool, now I don't feel bad. Here it goes again...
New Entry In Online Vid Race
By JILL KIPNIS
There's a new kid on the block in the online video rental world.
Gameznflix.com, owned by Franklin, Ky.-based holding company Point Group Holdings Inc. (PGHI), is launching next month with an offering of DVDs and videogames.
The service's business model is similar to that of Netflix, the leading online rental company based in Los Gatos, Calif. Users will pay a monthly subscription fee that enables them to receive DVDs or games through the mail. After a subscriber returns a title in an envelope with prepaid postage provided by gameznflix.com, another title from the rental selection list they have created is sent.
"This is a long-term project that will offer an alternative to Netflix," says John Fleming, CEO/president of PGHI. "We will crawl, then we will walk and then we will see about running into the future."
Netflix ended 2003 with about 1.5 million subscribers, a 74% increase over 2002.
Fleming says that the availability of videogames will differentiate gameznflix.com from such competitors as Netflix and walmart.com, which only offer DVDs.
A Netflix representative could not be reached for comment by press time.
PGHI has already established an online videogame rental service through its 18-month-old Web site veegeez.com, which will be incorporated into gameznflix.com next month. Fleming would not disclose how many subscribers use veegeez.com.
It currently distributes veegeez.com orders through centers in San Diego and Franklin. Fleming says two more distribution centers will open soon.
At launch, gameznflix.com will offer about 50 top DVDs and a full stock of videogames. According to Fleming, 99% of published videogames, including such older titles as "Pong," will be available for rent.
"It costs $50 to buy a game. The gamer beats the game or likes it or dislikes it and is over it in about two weeks and three days," Fleming says. "Now, they can rent it for $20 a month."
Fleming would not disclose what the monthly subscription fee for gameznflix.com will be, though its veegeez.com offers plans that range from $19.95 to $39.95. For example, the $19.95 plan allows users to have two titles rented at a time, while a $29.95 plan allows four rentals at a time.
PGHI has signed a joint venture deal with Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Legend Mobile to develop a marketing campaign for gameznflix.com's launch. Legend Mobile spearheads campaigns involving celebrities, such as the recent Visa debit card promotion with Hilary Duff (Billboard Bulletin, Oct. 25, 2003).
