No idea, just try to watch and decide on a number that you'd be comfortable with.

I am holding as well at an average of .46. This will bounce back later this week. Good luck.

I wish I could average myself down [Frown]
I only have 300 dollars of investing power and it's all tied up. Haha.. I'm still in college so I don't make much money.
I've only recently started to invest in stocks, however I've been watching them for awhile now. Learned a whole lot before I risked any money.

I don't thikn .49 is a terrible average (obviously, since I'm in higher than that...) At least you're not in at like .58 or something.

Well, there was a 250,000 share bid at .41 that just got beaten up. I don't feel good about this one anymore... Looks like it may lose .40 here soon.

Sold out at the close for a pretty big loss and loaded up on FAS. It's a triple long ETF tracking financials. FAS lost like 45% today, over 20% in the last 1/2 hour. I'm okay holding this one for a few days.

Looks like TMA was halted after hours and announced delisting and a bunch of dillution. Glad I got out, hope Brietoe did too, but I'm guessing not.

I almost jumped on it, but will wait for tomorrow.

after hours is .28 x .29 right now. Not sure what will happen tomorrow. not bk, I don't think, but will likely be a lot lower than it was today. I was extremely lucky. I kept adding more on the way down, but just before the close I had a moment of clarity and decided I would be stupid to hold that much overnight. More comfortable holding FAS.

FAS looks REALLY cheap. 52 week low $11 though. Could be a nice run tomorrow as Fins. got taken out back today.

I was writing my previous post when you posted this question, but yeah, I was lucky to get out when I did.

Can't believe how dumb I am sometimes. Decided last week that I would flip all my longs to shorts today, and instead of just doing it Friday, I waited. Then decided we gapped down too far and I would wait for a little pop back to -200 or -100 on the Dow to make the move and it never happened. Got smoked today...

Crap...

LOL, I guess we're each reading each other's posts while the other is responding...

Yeah, I felt like kicking myself last week when I thought we would get a pop and watched FAS under $11 and dind't buy until like $22. Was up nicely (that was in my IRA, not my trading account), and gave it all back and a ton more today. Grrr.

Wow, what a wacky last hour or so. Saw it drop as low as .21 x .22, decided to buy some at .27 when it started to move north, sold at .30 and then saw it go as high as .43. Sitting at .35 x .37, so maybe the news isn't that bad afterall. I'll never understand this crap... LOL

I got taken out back with Citi today. First day that I have lost in a while. Feels terrible. The market cap is still to high with all the problems they have. I still like MTW, LVS, and FNM. FNM looks to be setting up nicely if the government follows through with the purchases of assets. We could see $5 on FNM by January. I think TMA is a viable business, but they keep diluting to stay alive. I thought it would have bounced as well, but the delisting is a horrible situation for them. I'm also looking to short MA with any upside move.

Yeah, I didn't see this coming ^^

I know it sounds dumb, but I only have $300 invested into TMA whats everyone's input on just holding long term? Or should I just cut my losses and move on?

Does anyone think the dilution will stop and this will eventually go up within the next month or so?

Honestly I'd cut my losses in this .35ish range. That way you still have $200 to play with. Then you can buy stocks that have a better chance of going up. TMA may bounce, and in hindsight you could say "I wish I would have held", but it's just gambling at that point, and you can get better odds on your money to just start over and try anotehr stock. That's what I'd do anyway.

Yeah, don't fret about losing a hundred bucks. In the long run, that's not even a blip on the radar of your life. Be thankful you lost a third of $300 and not a third of $30,000 or something. In other words, it could always be worse [Smile]

I remember when I was a rookie. I made mistake after mistake. The old cliché, you never know unless you try. In this aspect, it’s so true. This is not an easy game but you will catch on.

Geez, TMA now even for the day at .38. I'll never understand why stocks move the way they do on news. I gotta stick to trading them without knowing the name of the company or what they do. I do a lot better than way.

That's crazy. This should be in the .10 range.

I don't know why I didn't wake up, I guess I never heard my alarm haha. Anyways, woke up today, sold. Lost about 115. And now I have to wait for my money to settle, and while that's happening I'll to to get another 100 dollars in there. How long does it take to settle?

I don't think I'm going to touch TMA just cause I already lost from it.

Hah, yay! When I get back, I'm going to try to pursue my goal of reaching 500 before the end of December. I'll still be watching of course, I'll just be quiet [Smile]

Sold my FAS at 22.20 from 17.50ish for a huge gain. Have a feeling that the market is going to close way up today, but I will be in and out of my office today, so I wanted to lock in my profits.

moremula, I was busy this afternoon, so I didn't get a chance to respond sooner. Looks like your timing was pretty good if you got in at 4.35.

It wasn't a big enough spike down to pique my interest though. I typically like ot play ones that are down 30-40%, and have a huge spike down in a short amount of time. Like for example, HSNI today. It was down about 25%, and then suddenly dropped almost 20% more, from 2.20 to 1.81. Then it bounced back close to 2.20.

I did trade that, but got in too late and sold too late, so I got it at 1.95 and sold at $2 at the end of the day.
