Keep me updated if you can guys. If you expect a run at today's close, I'd love to take advantage by buying in for a few.

Right now I'm in it too deep to think rationally, so I can't give you an unbiased answer

Sorry, I don't work that way. I just react to what the market throws at me. If you do DD overnight, then it's too late to get in any of the ones I play, usually.

SP i believe the goal is to find those stocks which have a big % loss, to catch the bottom end and sell it when it rises back up. IMO the volume needs to be present,RS below 20 and the price action out of the MA evevelope(below). Im sure there are other signs but these are some signs that may be worth looking into.

Basically just big drops on either no news or news that's not as bad as the price action indicates. There's obviously a lot more that goes into it, but that's the starting point. I don't use charts, per se, it's kind of a gut thing for me, where depending on the stock I look at different things.
And that is just one type of trade that I do, albeit the most frequent recently.
Oh, and I wouldn't recommend others try my strategy without paper trading the idea for a long time. You can lose a lot of money very quickly if you time it wrong or get into a situation where you're away from the computer or have to hold due to trade settlement rules or things like that.

yes, I did see that--pretty funny.
No, I've danced around and hemmed and hawed, but I've decided that for now it's best for me to simply keep up so that I'm not completely out of the loop when I return. There's simply too many factors not in my favor: chicanery continues with the mortgage company, for one; for another, I simply can't bring myself to open up trading accounts under these wifi networks where I've been staying while I wrangle for a new home. I'm much more comfortable with four or five screens up, with backup machines, on a dependable network.
There's sure been some nice opportunities, though, and I'm rooting for all you guys who are out there mixing it up in this climate. It makes me grin every time I think about you going solo during this period... yippie yo kai yay

Man, I hope you hurry up and get back on the horse soon. So many opps out there lately. And trust me, it makes me grin thinking about going solo too. Get to spend so much more time with the kdis, and after 7.5 days I've made more than I took home in 2 months at my old job. And I had a pretty good job. Hope it keeps up obviously.
Haven't traded much in the last two days ecause of my SVNT hold, and feeling a bit under the weather today, but tomorrow I should be back to trading actively, I hope.
Everyone please feel free to post ideas for trades here if they are more short term, bouncing kind of plays. (In other words, I apologize in advance to anyone I ignore who asks about a stock being overvalued in the long term, since it's just not something I care about when I'm trading)
