Hey Tex/Bob, if it's not appropriate, just delete this post, but I have a list of a few friends/ex-co-workers who I try to e-mail when I make a trade, and since I don't geta chance to post here as quickly, I wanted to offer people here who might be interested that I could add them to my list and e-mail them when I trade in case they want to get a more real-time feel for how I trade.

Anyone that wants me to add them, just PM me your e-mail address.

One of the artices said they "warned of bankruptcy" but they didn't file anything 9as far as I know). Just a confusing headline that screws up prices.

Ya, I saw that PR. Huge payday if they get the re-fi done. Just one aspect of there business is Commercial RE. With that segment they own over 200 shopping centers. Vornado has issues as well.

Thanks Ace, I've been doing really well in my first 3 weeks. Trying to stay grounded and just want to make enough to get by. I'm loving "working" from home and spending more time with the family, which is obviously what's really important.

So you think they mistyped and put a buck in front of it for the buy. I put the symbol in 3 times cause the price was so high when I was looking at it I was thinking theres no way he was buying at 40 cents when it was 1.39. Then I was thining cool if you sold after hours. I have no cash to trade so I have just been surfing in here most nights. Check these two out if you have time. SKS looks like it may have a little in it today and URRE fell back to a support line. Good luck.

Geez, two days in a row I sold GGP just before the glose and avoided a huge gap down. Should be some more good bouncers today, I think.

Went down to like .30 before the close, but I had a good day. KHD, NT, were good, and PLD and CTCM, which I forgot to post here were also nice ones for me.

Just saw your post about VNO investor. Nice timing. Looks like you got it right before it crashed down into the close. Hope it stays down for ya tomorrow.

REIT's are in trouble. I was too cautious on this one as most of there R.E. is in N.Y. I changed my opinion this morning after reading there balance sheet. I think they are going to have trouble with the Re-Fi as well. I might also look at Hartford Financial again for the short. There exposure to Annuities is extremely high. Maybe PRU as well.

Just sold WCG for another big gain.

Still holding GGP from yesterday at a decent loss, but WCG made up for it about 4 times over, so I won't complain.

Here is my summary for today:

Today was another good day for me, as I made about 10%. I was pretty happy until I realized the Down and S&P were up about 7%. Even so, I'll take it.

WCG was basically the only stock that I played today (aside from NT and GGP, which I held from yesterday)

It may help to have the day's chart open as you read this if you're interested, to follow along with my thinking.

I first noticed WCG when it was trading at about 8.50, and that it was down almost 60%. I did a quick check of the news, and didn't see any rumors of bankruptcy, and after less than a minute of research, it was down below $8. It was a 20% drop from $10 to $8 in under 8 minutes, which is a pretty big drop in that short a time. I put my limit order in to buy at 7.90 I think, and it had already gone past it before i hit enter, so I modified the order to $8. It filled me at a few different prices, and the average was about $7.93. I was confident that it would bounce at some point, and decided to buy at that point, and then average down if it kept falling while I looked more in depth into why it had dropped so much. It started bouncing almost immediately, so I put in an order to sell at 8.43, which would be a $500 profit if it got filled, and I started to do more research.

Less than a minute later I got an alert that my sell had filled, and I saw it was already back under 8.20 in the 2 seconds that it took me to look over to my second screen where my trading platform is. I thought that it was just a pullback, and I put an order in to rebuy at 8.12. Why 8.12? No idea really, just a number that seemed right in my head. Through nothing more than pure luck, it hit a low of 8.11 before it started to run higher again. Less than 4 minutes later it was above 8.80, so I put in an order to sell at 8.82, which would be a nice $700 profit that time.

That sell filled, and it started crashing back down again. I bought more at 8.44, and commented on a message board that I was "Back in at 8.44 and probably going to lose all of what I made earlier, knowing me". I didn't even bother e-mailing this one, because I was sure I'd be averaging down soon after. So why did I get back in? Nothing more than stupidity, I guess. I wanted to try to catch it one more time, even though I wasn't confident at all that it would go back up from there.

So of course it kept going down. I bought more at 7.75, then even more at 6.75. As I watched it trade and researched it more, it went as low as 6.23. I had another order in at 6.01, but it did not fill. After sometime, I began to get more and more comfortable with my position, and told a couple of people that I was confident that it would be back over $8 before the end of the day. So when it went back as high as 7.46, I didn't sell any. It came back down again, getting as low as 6.14. Within a few minutes it was back at 6.83, but I still didn't sell, comfortable that it would get back to my $8 target. Then it crashed back down again, and this time I adjusted my last buy order from 6.01 to 6.20, and luckily for me, it filled that buy, and then started heading north. My average was now 7.18, but I had 4 times my normal number amount of money into it, so when it gt above my average price, I sold 60% of the shares. that way, I made a small profit on those shares, and reduced my holdings to a more comfortable level.

It then went over 7.80, and although I still felt that it would go over $8, it pulled back below 7.50, so when it started going up again, I sold the rest of my shares at 7.73. Within 3 minutes it hit a high of 8.41, but I made a good bit on it, so I wasn't too upset.

Around 1:45 it got back down under 7.50, so I felt better about my decision to sell. But then it started going up. And up. It got as high as 8.86 and then came back down and I bought back in at 8.36. I sold a couple of minutes later at 8.58, to lock in about $200 profit, but should have held it longer as about 10 minutes later it started running again. And this time it just kept going up. When all was said and done, it got as high as 10.10, which was far higher than I thought it would get. Then it came back down really fast, and I got more at $9. But it kept falling, so I doubled up at 8.55. I sold all of those shares at 8.99, so basically breakeven on the $9 shares and $400 profit on the $8.55 shares.

It kept going up, this time peaking at about $9.95. As I sat thinking about it, I got the feeling that even though it went from a low of around $6 to a high of around $10 (or a gain of 67%), it was still down over 50% for the day. I just have a feeling that it will make back more of that ground tomorrow, so I decided to try to get back in around $9 to hold over night, and even if it never got back above $10 tomorrow, I think I can get at least that much, which would be an 11% trade. Luckily for me (or maybe not, I guess I'll find out tomorrow) it got back below $9 at around 3:45, so I bought it.

So that's the story of my trades on WCG today. I ended up making 16 trades on it today, which is much more than I usually do, but it ended up being well worth it.

As for NT and GGP, I sold NT at .68 from .535 yesterday for 27% (only to watch it go to .78 just before the close) and GGP at .3599 from .3501 yesterday for 2.8% (only to watch it go to .42 just before the close).

So as I said, I made about 10% on my account today, which now puts me up about 45% overall since I started on October 20th.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Very nice day I'd say PCola77. I was actually looking at WCG earlier in the day and was wondering if it was going to go any lower but then I had to sleep man. Worked from 10pm last night (11/12) until about 11am this morning (11/13) and had class before that so I was ass'ed out. I'm only in a few stocks right now and I'm holding most of them but I had to dump GENT today before I went to sleep so I didn't wake up and kick myself later. Bought in at .42 and sold at .70 so not too shabby. [Were Up]

I just can't believe when I went to sleep the Dow was -200 and then I wake up 3 1/2 hours later and its +500. Maybe I should just sleep from 930 - 4 everyday to help our economy, haha. Ah man, I'm kicking myself for not getting into Midway MWY too. Closed at .23 and then when I woke up and saw it at .30 I figured it was too late....obviously I was wrong because it still went up to .37 . [BadOne]

GGP (that I bought at .3501, held for a day and sold at .3599 when it never moved) ran like crazy today, as high as .63. When it pulled back to .50ish, I got back in at .515.

Just sold half at .555 for about 7.5% and holding the other half looking for a break of the day's high.

Thoughts? I think I didn't get out in time, and it crashed from .55 to .45 in seconds [Smile]

And why wouldn't it go up like 70% when they say they may seen bk protection? (That's obviously sarcasm, but in other words, nothing seems to react how you'd think it would, so I don't even play news, I just watch the price action)

PCola, I don't know if you saw my post on the Market bottom thread on this board.....but I thanked you for the link to the new 3x ETF board at Ihub...it's awesome!!!

Again thanks! I real busy right now and only trade a few stocks like solars every time they hit a short term bottom! So I didn't ever realized these ETF's were launched.

I will deffiantetly be playing these ETF'S Now. With 3x leverage we can now make a lot better percent gains, with out having to try to decide on an individual stock! Basicly we can just switch just switch back and forth between the long and short one, and be making great gains non stop....wether you're doing real acitve, mid-term, or long term investing.....

Thanks again bro!

Added more WCG at 9.40 on this drop from 9.80 a few minutes ago. Will probably hold all of the shares until next week unless it movesbig in either direction.

I looked at it, but I like ones that have huge drops from lows of the day, so I' watch it closely if it got back down to like 7.50, and then had a quick drop into the $6.90s.

11/14 Recap

Didn't make many trades today. Nothing really jumped out at me other than the ones that I already had on radar. I bought a couple of options today, and excluding them, I basically broke even, making about $68 after commission.

I held my WCG from $9 yesterday, and tried a few times to add more, seeming to always miss the bottom of a range by pennies. Finally I got more at 9.40. I am holding all of my WCG until next week. My average is 9.20, and it closed at 9.36.

Also played GGP a couple of times today. I sold yesterday at .3599 and it ran up to like .42 before the close. There was news released that they are considering filing for bankruptcy. Usually terrible news, right? Well, it went up like 60% to a high of .63 for some reason. When I saw it coming back down, I bought some at .53 and then some more at .50 for a .515 average. It went back up nicely from there, and I sold half of my shares at .555. I held the other half in case it bounced back up to a new day high. Well it didn't, and it came back down, so I bought back the shares at .52 that I had sold at .555. Unfortunately, it keep going down, and I sold those shares at .485 for a loss, to get back to a more comfortable number of shares. It eventually bounced back up, and I sold at .5199, which basically got me to breakeven for the day on GGP.

Around 3:30 it crashed back down to .47 and then bounced back up to .52. about 15 minutes later, it came back down again, and I got an e-mail from someone asking if I was thinking about buying it again. I said "Too close to the end of the day on Friday. And with bankruptcy rumors it's way too risky to hold over the weekend." Then, after the market closed, I was looking at my trades, and realized that I had left an order open from earlier in the day, and it got filled when GGP crashed down. So apparently I bought at .4701 (for the second time on GGP I did the same thing. I guess I better learn to cancel orders that I don't really want to be filled). So I ended the day down about 6.5% on those shares.

Basically the loss on that accidental trade wiped out my gains from my WCG hold, so I closed the day just slightly up. Not bad considering the DOW and S&P closed down 4% today after a huge slide just before the close.

I am holding a position in GGP and WCG over the weekend. I most likely won't be trading on Monday as I am scheduled to go in to my old office to help out with a project, but hopefully I can at least keep an eye on those two stocks to get out of them if I need to.

After 4 weeks trading full time, I am up about 45%. And no, I don't expect to be able to keep up this pace, or even close to it...

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
