merrill's form had the option to opt-in to the NOBO list on page 1 of their application.
HOWEVER i asked my friend, who would normally be the one opening the account had i not grabbed the paperwork and said 'here let me do it can do it faster ' if he usually gives the client the option to check that box. and he said he normally checks "no" by default without asking...
so, bring that subject up to your borker.

and fyi, my experience trying to transfer my shares AWAY from TDAm? 2 days ago their rep told me i could only do an ACAT transfer (7-10 days) or he suggested i SELL my entire position and move the funds then re-buy.
next day i was told that Merrill needed to initiate a DTC transfer and TDAm rep gave me their DTC #.
today, cuz merrill has no idea what TDAm is talkin about, i FINALLY got a rep on the phone, a lady who said she can do the DTC and will expedite it, cuz she is familiar with what is going on with CSHD and she felt bad for the confusion.
i cant wait to be rid of them. ~BB

It was way back in my high school economics class when us students were given $250,000.00 fake dollars and asked to invest it in the stock market and at the end of the semester we would see who made the most money. I put it in BRK/A at 56K and I think it climbed to 78K in about 6 weeks. I won, I rocked, and I got the gold star.
But other than some fake dollars I have never been able to play with Warren Buffet. My buddy the bartender/bar owner was the only one I have known who did and does. I wonder what has happened to Tom... he was a good guy.
Anyway, no hard feelings, just hate comparing apples and apples until this apple is a heck of alot more ripe.

Chart, I ordered my stock cert a couple days ago. I will let you know what happens, but I'm assuming once the TA sends me my cert, those shares will no longer be shown/held in my account. I'll let you know how it pans out...

Not in, and to be honest (some of you are not going to like this), but I think the chance to make money off this one has come and gone. It was a GREAT pick at .94, and if you sold anywhere in the 3's, you're fantastic... but now? I think this will stagnate and slowly drop and people on here will truly wish they sold at 3. IMO.

That's kind'a my point....
"THIS" apple isn't ripe yet! The ones that are are so expensive you can't touch them...
1000 shares in x-amount of years at $1,000 does equal 1 MILLION DOLLARS.
So 2000 shares at $500 = 1 million.
and 10,000 shares at $100 a share is 1 million too!

I hear you Repo, and would have to agree, butthis play for me has been about the reset, and the 8k filed last was great! The 10k that is coming will show at least 6 Billion MORE in deals (we have seen the bonds already) so I believe a reset is coming.
I also believe the huge naked short interest here is at work as far as the PPS.
So at this point I guess it's up to eash investor, "are you with, or without" as our deep throat friend Tut has said.

I don't understand why you don't think this is going through with the reset REPO. We have another 6 billion that will be audited in the 10Q and give us a book value of over $50.
