Technically yes. But MM's can also buy for their own inventory. So they could horde these shares to sell at a later time. IMO, one of the most difficult things to figure out is what are actually sells and what are buys. Personally I have bought on both the bid and the ask and sold on the bid and the ask. It's a mystery and for the most part doesn't matter. What really matters most is the price point where you can either buy or sell and the volume. The red and green colors are nice but are easily manipulated as well. Watch closely on a fast moving stock and you will see that many times it will show red even when you placed an order to sell on the ask because it moves so fast. There are a lot of smoke and mirrors in the market. Don't get hung up on them. It's the same looking at Level 2. How many times have you seen a wall at a certain price point and if there is enough buying pressure many if not all MM's move off the number. We see what they want us to see.
