"In short, no one can predict the future. If the product is that good--maybe it will sail to the $20's in a very short time. Despite what you may hear, there IS a product, which they license from MVSystems, Inc., a non-public and very legitimate company. Look up MVSystems on the Dept. of Energy's solar site.
One of the scientists behind the technology is Dr. Arun Madan who has over 30 years of experience in thin film semiconductors, materials and electronic devices and was one of the originators of amorphous silicon in 1970 in the United Kingdom where the first TFT (thin film transistor) was fabricated as part of his Ph.D work. During his career, he has published over 100 scientific papers and co-authored an advanced semiconductor textbook which has been translated into Russian and is now being used at several universities. Dr. Madan also has over 20 years of experience in international sales and marketing with sales of technology and equipment exceeding $150 million. He has built two companies from startup: (1) GSI (investor backed) was formed by Dr. Madan in 1985 and achieved a world leadership position in a period of 4 years with an employee count exceeding 60 and multi-million dollar sales worldwide. (2) MVSystems Inc. (no investors) was formed in 1989 to design, build and deliver state of the art systems for thin film semiconductor manufacture. Over 70 systems ranging from R&D type to production for manufacture of electronic devices have been delivered to date and are located in 18 countries."
(Business 2.0) – Most solar panels are bulky, pricey, and difficult to install. But imagine if you could turn windows--or entire skyscrapers--into solar power generators. That's the goal of XsunX, a startup in Aliso Viejo, Calif., that has invented a way to stick semitransparent solar cells on plastic film, which manufacturers can use to transform ordinary windows into PowerGlass. "It's like a power-plant skin on a building," says XsunX CEO and president Tom Djokovich.
XsunX's amorphous silicon solar cells aren't more efficient--they convert just 6 percent of light energy that hits them into electricity, compared with 15 percent for traditional silicon cells. They are, however, more versatile: A 20-story building has about 10 times more space for PowerGlass than it does for roof panels. That puts XsunX on the cutting edge of a trend in the $7 billion solar industry called building-integrated photovoltaics, or BIPV. "We're seeing a revolution where solar is disappearing into the building," says Ron Pernick, co-founder of energy research firm Clean Edge. Next year, XsunX plans to begin selling its manufacturing technology to glass and optical-film makers and collecting licensing fees and royalties. Meanwhile, a firm called Iowa Thin Film Technologies has released solar-film radios and tents, and it's now developing opaque BIPV products for roofs. But as the only company making see-through cells for windows, XsunX can envision a bright future ahead.

I think people are comparing XSNX to ESLR; and that's the reason for the drop. But, ESLR is a crap stock that had a lot of buzz. XSNX is more like SPWR, and even so, it has a far bigger upside.
ESLR makes ugly solar panels that are expensive and fragile. SPWR makes better looking solar panels that are a little more rugged, but still very expensive.
XSNX will be selling a process for a film that has a very low impact on appearance, and it can be used to improve a building's appearance in the right design. It is about 1/4 the cost of the others at 1/2 efficiency (which all 3 companies will improve upon). But, it can be easily incorporated into new contructions as most skyscrapers must already use some type of tinting. Might as well use the tinting to produce energy as well.
Anways, this is a bargain here. Anyone who's not in this one, will be regretting it once the May marketing gets underway and contracts start flowing.

yep........two totally different products, powerglass as 1/2 the power potential of solar panel but it 1/4 the cost. You can put enough panels on a SKYSCAPER ..........but you can put half a million square feet if not MORE with powerglass.

ho humm... so i just got off the phone with their media relations dept.. word is (and the word is tight, not willing to slip anything more than what was previously released) that manufacturer licensing will begin in april, and marketing of the product soon afterwards.
i suppose that's just enough time to get in, get comfortable, and buckle up for the ride.
that stocklemon report... fishy. last piece of news they quoted was several months old, they've got the product all wrong (solar glass? wtf? it's a solar film...) and it just looked like some highschool kid wrote it. whoever's saying they short the stocks they bash, i think you're on to something...

Well, my browser pulled up an older page of St.lemon and apparently they have done an article. They're pretty good. One would have to investigate their claims though.

Significant Growth in **** Coverage Points to Mainstream Investor and Industry Interest in Renewable Energy Industry
March 28, 2006 09:01:28 (ET)
POINT ROBERTS, WA, March 28, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- www.*********************.com (RES), an investor and industry news portal for the renewable energy sector, is pleased to announce the merger of content between the RES **** and CleanEnergy **** under the www.***************** content umbrella, with Cleantech****.com, the premier site for commentary on clean technologies, news, and issues relating to next generation energy and the environment. This syndicated content collaboration is available on www.*********************.com and www.Cleantech****.com representing industry coverage through ten sector experts and professionals addressing areas such as marketing, investments, technology, legislation and an overall identification and discussion on market growth and opportunity.
****s are becoming a vital source of online information for those interested in the renewable energy industry. As the world looks to improving the overall energy portfolio to meet growing demands, reduce costs and protect the environment, a key validation to the mainstream acceptance of renewables as a true energy alternative and viable investment opportunity is seen by the growing number of ****s dedicated to this industry.
As Neal Dikeman, Partner with Jane Capital Partners, a San Francisco based merchant bank focused on energy and environmental technologies, and founder of Cleantech****.com explains, "****world in general is distributing the creation of media content far wider and at a faster rate than ever before imagined. It is also picking up serious readership. As a result, mainstream media outlets, as well as the corporate and advertising sponsors that fund them, have been delving into ****s in a big way."
"This means big impact in a grassroots driven area like renewables: ****s are totally democratic and distributed, anyone can start one, and passionate people do so a lot, so the result has increasingly been a new populist voice for causes like renewables and the environment emerging in the American press," concludes Dikeman.
*********************.com (RES), a portal within the ***************** content umbrella, does not make recommendations, but offers investors research, news and links to public companies within the renewable energy sector.
