Georgia's Maritime Logistics Innovation Center Helps Research Port Security
Current pilot projects include final testing of Cyber Tracker GPS device

GA Dept of Economic Development
October 6th, 2005
ATLANTA -- To increase the security of the nation's seaports, several devices are currently being tested at the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) through the state's Maritime Logistics Innovation Center (MLIC). The MLIC is one of the country's few organizations able to develop maritime-related solutions by testing university research and privately-developed technologies in an active port environment.

"We ask the maritime and logistics industry leaders what keeps them awake at night, and then we take those issues to the problem-solvers - universities and small businesses - for answers. We also develop solutions for particular areas identified by the Department of Homeland Security," said Page Siplon, director of MLIC. "Right now we're working on several projects relating to tracking and location as well as creating a safer, more secure work environment."

A current pilot project is the "Cyber Tracker," a device developed by Homeland Integrated Security Systems to track drivers' activities to, from and while in the port's berths. "The MLIC project has exceeded our expectations to this point," said Frank Moody, CEO of Homeland Integrated Security Systems (www.hissusa.com). "We hope to show the maritime industry that we have the technology necessary to keep a watchful eye on port security."

Final testing of the Cyber Tracker was concluded Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the port located in Savannah.

Established in 2003, the Maritime Logistics Innovation Center is a partnership between private industry, academia, and government authorities working together to cultivate and promote economic development within Georgia. The center works with industry leaders and experts to identify, create, and implement technological advancements and solutions for the maritime community.

The logistics center is also working on a pilot project for tracking containers and to also prepare for a prototype identification card for transportation workers, an initiative of the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) and the National Maritime Security Advisory Committee.

The Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program is intended to be nationally implemented as the primary means of identification at critical transportation facilities. Other pilot projects include testing technologies that monitor the activity and location of port equipment and machinery.

Pagan,

I agree. This is exciting in that HISC did not even acknowledge this. This post was found on a Homeland Security News monitoring service. I would expect this to formally be acknowledged by the company next week at the 31 Billion is added to the Homeland Security budget.

Moody is doing exactly what he needs to be doing - making national and international connections.

Best of luck to all

That would be an interesting SHM. Some very impressive speakers and demonstrations taking place. As well as audited numbers as well. 4Q looks like its gonna be big with the Pro.Sec numbers($8M in orders) adding some major punch to the revenue stream. And soon to be listed on the BB will have a nice impact as well. Looks like they have turned the corner in a big way.

You folks might take a look at IDWS, but do your own DD. It closed at .38 tonight, but I think that is a far cry from where it will go. Make sure you read the last two releases!!!! I think the dividend will be closer to the .87 figure than to the .37 figure of the two they mentioned. Please do your DD though. Don't want anyone suggesting pumping and would hate to see anyone lose money.

Homeland Integrated Security Systems' Cyber Tracker Could Be the Answer to California's Missing Vehicle Dilemma

ASHEVILLE, NC, Oct 26, 2005 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Federal and state governments could assert greater control and management over their automobile and truck fleets by using an inexpensive tracking device that monitors a vehicle's location, routes, stops, and speed.

Studies by the General Accountability Office and the General Services Administration (GSA) have recommended that the federal government improve its information systems to monitor automobile fleets in ways which would produce millions of dollars in savings (GAO-04-664).

On August 8, 2005 KPIX Reporter Jeffrey Schaub, reported that an examination of California's state-held inventory has determined that almost of half of that state's cars and trucks are unaccounted for. The study concluded that 30,000 of California's 70,000 vehicles are missing -- everything from Caltrans trucks, to CHP cars, to fire rigs, to prison vehicles. The audit of state-owned property was ordered by Governor Schwarzenegger, and concluded that California's state agencies had no idea what they owned.

Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc.'s (HISC) "Cyber Tracker is the perfect solution to the Governor's problem in California. If California had Cyber Tracker units on its vehicles, Governor Schwarzenegger would not be looking for over 30,000 of his cars," stated former Presidential Advisor, Spencer Geissenger.

The Cyber Tracker is a portable detection device designed to provide real-time GPS tracking of vehicles, people or other mobile or movable objects. Its convenient rugged design (5" x 5" x 1") makes it applicable in a variety of situations where it is necessary to know an exact location of a person or object. It features "Push to Talk" ability and an extended battery life. The Cyber Tracker's unique design and features makes the product ideal for consumer retail, School Systems, Ports, Fleet Management, the Military, and Public Safety.

"Fleet management is not just a problem in California. US Taxpayers are flipping the bill for missing vehicles across the country. There is no excuse for our Government to lose track of its vehicles. The Cyber Tracker is an affordable solution," stated Geissenger.

Homeland Integrated Security Inc. and Duke Pro Complete Development of the Cyber Rad Gamma Radiation Device

ASHEVILLE, NC, Nov 03, 2005 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (OTC: HISC) and Duke Pro Inc. announced today the completion of the Cyber Rad Gamma Radiation sensor.
The Cyber Rad is a very low power, highly-sensitive radiation monitor that can detect gamma radiation. The Cyber Rad is 30 times more sensitive than any other commercial device available in the US. The Cyber Rad sensor utilizes the latest in Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT) technology to continually monitor the level of Gamma radiation. The unique feature to the Cyber Rad sensor is that it can be networked with multiple sensors to determine more exacting locations for Gamma radiation.

"We're excited about implementing this technology as a port solution where the Gantry Cranes would be equipped with these units. As the containers come off of the ship and land on the truck, the Cyber Rad sensors can quickly determine if gamma radiation is present inside the container," stated Ian Riley, CTO Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc.

Frank Moody, Homeland Integrated Security CEO, added, "The Cyber Rad is ideal for the scrap metal and the garbage pick-up industries."

Obtaining the Export License(to ship CT ProSec order) and the OTCBB submission should drive the next moves. Also any new orders/contracts will cause it to move:)
