i am happy that minchkin man found the home he deserves on r-b. he must be angry because his precious NDOL lost another 5.17%. personally, i hope that he did something positive to earn himself some money today. maybe there is a reason that he sees eyerything a little "cock eyed" that he should look into.

Remember my tirade about Level II problems with E*Turd Pro software?
Initially, Etrade writes this is a problem with my system, I need to change settings in my browser, change preferences in my XP system, need to do this, need to do that, nothing related at all.
I write a second time. Yes, there is small group of customers effected. Change your browser settings, delete your cache, blah, blah, blah....
My third letter is flat out rude, not a problem on my end. Problem is YOUR software. Get a brain, that type of stuff.
Thank you for your email regarding the ongoing issues with the Level 2 window in Power E*trade Pro. I apologize for the hassle you've experienced with this. I just received word back from a product manager that the update for this error is coming very soon. Unfortunately there is not an ETA for resolution for Pro 3.0. This will be available soon but the enhancements to the feature are being delayed by our development team due to extended testing procedures that must be performed in order for Pro 3.0 to not only operate efficiently but more important, consistently. You are correct, this problem is on our side and we will have it fixed. I, personally, brought the issue to development's attention, tracked servers, account numbers and User ID's and after forwarding over these details they were able to locate the problem and generate a solution. That is the stage we are at currently.
We cannot provide the port number for Level II data simply because we do not have access to it. We can only provide ports for launching the program through a third party/corporate firewall or security setting. But, obviously, the issue is not with launching the program the issue is with the reported bug with the Level 2 window. Again, I have been personally dealing with this problem have been corresponding with our development team directly. I can assure you the information you have been provided recently is legitimate and while I understand that it has not achieved resolution please rest assure that this will be fixed in a timely manner.
In the mean time, please roll back to the earlier version of Pro (2.8.4). This troubleshooting step has been tested with other accounts and has worked correctly. Please visit www.etrade.com -> Log In -> Trading and Portfolios -> Power E*Trade -> Get The Details (Under the Pro Launch button) -> On the next page follow the right-hand column to the bottom and launch Pro 2.8.4.
Also, I would like to stress that this information is not exclusive to Pro. Level 2 Data is available in Power E*Trade Market Trader (which can be run simultaneously with Pro) as well. I realize it may not be the usual method of obtaining this information but it is a means to an end until resolution is met. I want thank you for your continued patience and we are working diligently to rectify the problem.
