I am a Conservative Republican, I vote Republican, I believe in God, I believe in prayer in schools, I believe in family values, I'm pro-family, I'm pro-life I'm pro-children, I'm against homosexuality, I'm against gay marriage and nobody's going to stop me from saying "Merry Christmas or Under God". Now seriously..... All the mentioned above, does that really make me a horrible person? If you can't agree on anything I've mentioned above, then YOU GROW UP!

This is a brother from another thread who had this to say about gay marriage..... And let me tell you, I agree with him 120%!
Same-sex marriage teaches that men and women don't need each other, that children don't need mothers and fathers, and that marriage is primarily about affirming adults' diverse intimacy needs rather than protecting children.
When the very idea that marriage is the union of husband and wife gets labeled "discrimination" by the courts, people who teach the Christian faith may be treated like bigots in the public square.

If what you say is that that the gay life style is unhealthy IMHO it is, nature did not want us to be gay. But how is it anybodies business what two people do if it is not your family and even like our Vice Presidents daughter, you just have to live with it,she is gay as can be even lives with a women lover. So what is point. DO YOU FEEL THAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO RIGHTS UNDER THE LAW? Do you want to have gay bashing as a way of life in our country? Because gays are at every level in our sociate.Look back at other times and different cultures when it was not taboo it was just there history is full of gay and bi sexual men in places of power they even think that Abe Lincoln was a bi sexual he shared his bed in the White House with other men. Sorry for being negative here, but I have family members who are gay. Needless to say, all animals, (including humans), have, in their very basic animalistic reason for existence, to breed. The primary function of ALL life is to reproduce. With that a controversy......humans, have a high level of intelligence, and the power of reason. The most basic purpose is to reproduce, mindlessly. The gay thing, is IMHO, simply unnatural, and the exibition of an exploring mind, which in the animal world, would exibit weakness. Thus the reasoning why so many "gays" want to "adopt", or or utilize "sperm implentation" as a way to circumvent that lifestyle....I don't have a problem with people being gay, I just don't see how that advances civilization....JMHO....

Who said so? I don't see any basis for that claim. And I see really good reason not to abuse and insult those who don't adhere to your narrow notions of propriety by declaring them to have such beliefs!
Marriage, as legally defined, is nothiong more than a contractual agreement. You have every right to not participate an such a contract with a person of your sex, but the law does NOT permit providing its protections only to persons who are of opposite sexes. That, small minded one, violates the Constitution. If you deny to a person the protections of the law based on their sexual preferences, then you must also deny those protections to those with any other sexual preferences....even heterosexual ones. Remember, this is not a religious decision (that would be a violation of the 1st Amendment to the Constitution), it is a matter of contract law. And, Congress (and any sub-governmental entities that may exist) can make NO LAW ("no law" includes any contract laws too)respecting the establishment....

You need Jesus Christ if you really love gays and support homosexuality so much. You educate young children what is right, not what is wrong. Why would someone like yourself, a human being, teach a young child that marriage between a man & woman is only "legally" defined and nothing more than a contractual agreement? Marriage is much more than that and only an idiot would post something as stupid as that.
So I take it that you're in favor of gay marriage but against marriage between man & woman? It really makes me wonder how you can live in George W.
