The media rights being sold would not prohibit standard news coverage.
==============================================hopefully this doesn't mean the news shows don't have to come to Q for video footage, cable news, 60 mins & the like. we want them to do this because it means they have to say where they got it & thus maybe prompt and story or 2 about Q.

Q has the broadcast rights to the games. News clips will have to come from Q or Q licenced rebroadcasters. the news can report anythgin they want but they will have to get the video footage from the Q would be my take on it. if you watch the sports highlights on CNN you will see ESPN or CBC ofr what ever the broadcaster happens to be and they will have to credit the agency by stating or putting it in writing on the screen.

that is what having the rights is all about.

smart move on Franks part.

this is what i said then...
all the financials will come out when we go to reporting (otc, amex, etc). profitable 12-13 months--well, we'll see. this is what he said important to me (for the future going forward):

...referring to the 2006 gay olympics....

"we have all the broadcast, all the network, all the line-feed rights.
we'll be able to send it all over the world.
wherever anybody wants it, they have to get it from us."

"we just signed that deal yesterday"

--so we (the q) have a signed contract in hand for the future!!!

those people in chicago have already done their olympics--already legit. ergo, if we weren't legit, they wouldn't have signed with us.

...legitimacy. we (the q) really exist folks.......

...and we got that satellite thing going....

It's only a matter of time boys and girls.
2 cents is only 500% away. Thats nothing.
We can do 100% in 1 day.
Once we get passed 1 cent, I serioously don't see us dropping back to these levels.

We might go from .02 to .013 but I don't think sub-penny will be considered.

Enjoy.

I think the part about the television rights will be the big surprise. I believe it means that any other station that wants to broadcast the Gay Games will have to go through Frank and therefore pay QBID for a licencse or something like that to broadcast on another channel. Can anyone verify this idea?

Trader 0, does this answer your question?

Chicago Gay Games Signs Multi-million Deal for TV/Radio Broadcast Rights
Friday October 1, 10:30 am ET
Letter of Intent Signed with California-based Q Television Network

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 2004--Chicago organizers of Gay Games VII today announced a multi-million dollar cash and barter deal assigning television and radio broadcast rights to the Q Television network. Q Television Network and Chicago Games, Inc. (CGI) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) marking the final negotiation period for an agreement

*.. .transferring the media rights to the California-based cable network.

ADVERTISEMENTThe LOI outlines the broad terms of the proposed deal, including broadcast rights, joint development of Gay Games-related programming, broadcast airtime for advanced Gay Games advertising, and live and taped coverage of Gay Games VII events from 15 to 22 July 2006. As part of the proposed agreement, Q Television, a subscriber-based television network affiliated with RCN Cable and other providers, will unscramble its signal during live coverage of the Gay Games in 2006.

*Q Television would also serve as the agent for the redistribution of television and radio broadcast rights, allowing for access beyond Q Television's cable footprint, especially in international markets.

*The media rights being sold would not prohibit standard news coverage. (Sports sections on the news)

"It has been my dream to get television created specifically for the LGBT audience on the air," said Frank Olsen, CEO and President of Q Television. "With the Gay Games as our landmark network event, we will begin immediately to present the stories of the men and women worldwide that participate in the Games and build anticipation and excitement until the opening ceremonies."

Steven Grunberg, Executive Vice-President of Programming for the Q Television Network, said "Q Television is all about 'community' and showing LGBT life at its best and most uplifting. We are honored to be chosen as the home for the Games and we will work hand-in-hand with Chicago's organizers to deliver one of the great LGBT events of the new millennium."

Chicago Outstripping Fundraising Projections

"In the six short months since Chicago was selected as host of Gay Games VII, we've made dramatic progress toward our financial goals and achieved fundraising benchmarks months, or in some cases, years ahead of schedule," said Tracy Baim, CGI Board Co-Vice Chair and Chair of the Fundraising Committee. "Once broadcast rights are assigned, we will have raised more than US$3 million in cash and in-kind resources." CGI announced a million-dollar sponsorship deal with PlanetOut Inc. on 20 September 2004.

"We believe that these rapid and positive developments are representative of the widespread support for the Gay Games mission and the Gay Games VII business model," said Dennis Sneyers, CGI Co-Chair. "Our business plan is built upon years of analysis and study by the international Federation of Gay Games (FGG), a return to the core of the Gay Games - an event that is laser-focused on the athletes, artists and fans. A conservative budget, expert community organizers, a true partnership with the FGG, and top-notch vendors hired to implement key components of the plan means we now enjoy the confidence of our community, sports organizers worldwide, and now the corporate world."

"We are extremely excited to have a broadcast partner this far in advance of the Games," said Kevin Boyer, CGI Board Co-Vice President and Chair of the Marketing Committee. "Advanced television coverage and programming will let us tell the inspiring Gay Games story to even more people. The Gay Games have never had an opportunity like this and we are excited to be an integral part of the Q Television mission to create a network devoted to providing television programming for the LGBT community."

Negotiations were spearheaded by Amy Shomer of Plan B, Chicago's primary corporate sponsorship development firm. With offices in Los Angeles, Montreal and London, Plan B has worked to match corporate sponsors with the Gay Games since being retained by Chicago in early 2004. Corporate sponsorship of Gay Games VII is still available. Companies interested in learning more about Gay Games sponsorship should visit http://www.GayGamesChicago.org/sponsors/ or call (773) 907-2006.

when RCN was signed & supposed to be up & running early sept. i thought by now we would have sub. numbers & that would be the force to bring us out of the sub-penny world. i still believe that will be the one thing to get the pps moving other then a top 5 cable company signing & getting us up & running a lot faster then RCN has. somebody with well over 1 million subscribers not 400,000. we need a total of cable subscribers close to 2 million, we have 20% now but still need 80% more and that is more then likely just a matter of time. 2 TV mentions in the last week on regular cable, nothing in life is certain but it sure seems headed that way.

Please take a moment and read…

Imagine if you will………..you have a little extra money in your pocket. You are always looking to get ahead in life, not having much given to you. Just had to work hard your whole life. You always knew there was a way to make good extra money…by good I mean great…by great I mean freaking outrageous. You just bide your time. Opportunities like this pass people by every second. That person was me months ago. Well it almost passed me by too. I was told by word of mouth, I was skeptical at first, like any person would be. I did my research and believe it or not this was the first stock I have ever purchased. I am very young, a lot younger than the average investor, a lot dumber than the average investor. My point is this, it doesn’t take a genius to see this is a wiser than wise investment. You don’t have to have a college degree, you don’t have to be 50 and have $700,000 set aside for your retirement. For one if you are worried about the price today and you bought in 2 months ago, then you never should have bought in the first place. You should have bought this stock because you had the money to lose. And if you had the money to lose when you bought high, then you should be slowly grabbing cheaper shares. This price is a gift, I don’t know from whom, but it truly is. I don’t know if most of us know, this is a network!!!! It is being aired as we speak, it is a runt and 99.9% of the world doesn’t know we even exist. What happens when some of that 99% starts to find out???? Do the math; there won’t be shares to grab anymore. No more 500,000 shares for 1500 bucks. In 4 years from now it will be 300 shares for 1500 bucks. This is a seed, I consider myself lucky to be in with the folks that have been here for years. I almost feel like it is a crime that I am able to say I own as many shares as I do because these folks have been sitting waiting patiently. They now too see how big this is. I don’t care if I have to wait a year to see a .10, .20, .50 or a dollar. Please realize that after a year you only pay 15% tax anyway. No investor who got in at .0001 can complain about Q, no way, no how. They are sitting on profit and also know they are going to be millionaires, now anyone who got in at .01 or higher, just give it your year from your purchase price. I guarantee you your money will be back and more. The only way any of us lose our money on this is if we sell for a loss or this is a complete scam…..CNBC doesn’t talk about scam companies by the way. We have been on there 2 times in the past week. This is just a sample of the press we will be getting in the next year to come. This company is going to be huge and you will all be paid 100’s of times over depending on when you sell out. Myself, I will never completely sell out, I will leave some of this stock to my kids and I haven’t even started a family yet. So I say to all longs…….thanks for the holding when everyone laughed at you and keep it up because I know you will. I say to all recent investors which I call rookies (myself included)…..thanks for taking which at one time was considered a chance, keep holding at least for a year. I say to all newborns, which I call people who still are not quite sure what to do yet……the time is now and the place is QBID, get in now and don’t kick yourself later. I say to all bashers….we investors are all adults; we have made our choices in buying this stock, and please do not feel you need to warn us of how this company is “no good” and “a scam”. In other words please leave the message boards, for soon you will look like fools. Thanks all for taking the time to read and please remember ONLY INVEST WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE!!!!!!!

I don't know if you know how HUGE this show is.
The exposure Q will get from it will (IMO) we be insane.
I have attended plenty of different types of shows at the Javits center. Thousand upon thousands attend.
I am really going to try and get there but, as I have said I am closing on my new house either Friday or Monday that weekend and Will be moving. I will try my best to get there. If so......I'll be sure to get pictures and post them.

Perhaps THIS is the reason we are getting mentioned now rather than back when we launched.

"The Gay Life Expo is something Q Television wants to bring to its viewers. We are working diligently to have the Q signal available for all who want us in their homes," said Frank Olsen, President and CEO of Q Television Network. "Over the last few weeks we announced that the Q signal is in San Francisco, New York and Boston. We look to announce Chicago, Philly and others soon."

Q Television Network will produce sponsor shots while on location at the Expo. These spots will be of gay-friendly businesses at the Expo. These shots will be used to develop advertising revenues for the network.

....IMO these sponsors bring more to the "Wall Street table". Money follows money=money making more money. It is just a matter of time.

Go QBID----GLTA!

Just wondering why this news isn't posted when you type in QBID from the MSN homepage. I know that may not be the best info, but it is my homepage and I always do a quick check there just to see if anything major is going on, and that news wasn't even posted. That is the first time I have ever seen a news article for QBID not shown from MSN. Any ideas?

Even our resident capitalist hasn't posted in several days. however i would expect something soon from him to show us how bad todays Pr is.
