Yeah baby, give me more! But you are kind of sucking at bashing it. It's always the same thing all the time, change it up a bit, add a few different comments in there, show more of the "broken promises".

Make this stock look bad.

because this group has real sence of humour. you can jus stay in your underwear, or diaper, fix yourself a martini and socialize within your own comfort. beside, this group might give you enought information to retire your mortgage.

tq, glad to know there is someone here this evening! Almost thought I had made the wrong decision.
I quit my job/career last year and with the savings I had accumalated was able to pay off my truck and then earlier this year my mortgage. I'm fortunate. But yes, I would love to travel to Europe or wherever I pleased. I'm hoping this investment will enable me to do just that!
With the remaining balance of savings and some borrowed funds I ventured into penneyland and other worlds. Right now I'd have to save to go to Waco, which is about 88 miles away!LOL!!!

Yo P! I really enjoy chatting with you...you have a warped sense of humor as do I and several others on this board. I too, like you, am into music. During my college days at TCU, I had a couple of bands that wanted me to do vocals. My mindset at the time was_ I need to get my degree. Live and learn.. if I had, I wouldn't have the daughter I have today ( Now a college freshman), so things happen for a reason...I guess..
I still play guitar, but not near as well as I used to. Guitar Center is having a sell this weekend, Marshall amps 1/2 price. Before I pass from this world I want to play Stevie Ray's version of Voodoo Chile (slight return) and smile and make the appropriate guitarist's grimaces as I kick it out. Damn, it sounds as if I'm on the nutcracker's couch!LOL!!!
I have a Martin and a Fender, but want to up-grade the Fender. Okay, I've rambled on enough, everyone is probably asleep now as slow as I type.LOL!

I loved that time in my life. So care free. I have no regrets. Only wonderful memories. I have wonderful children a great husband and Don't even know that girl anymore. I miss her sometimes but, Am happy with this one...She is in there though, sometimes her thoughts make me laugh.
Now who's on the couch? LOL
Heck.....I had a blast. Like to chuckle at myself. BTW. I'm a 1957 baby myself. Sept, 11th.
I actually cut a CD back in the early 80's (Big hair, Sturrip pants, hoop earings, pumps....the works). It was fun...My kids and family are my biggest fans. My parents as well as my kids still listen to the damm...thing. It is somewhat embarassing. And I don't embarass easy......Can ya' tell.
K, I think I've given everyone enough info on me.....(What's ya' think Sunny? Enough?)
I'm gonna' go hit the hay...Got a big day tomorrow.
Going to clean My new house, get it ready to move in. It's not like a new car smell (that's great) New house smell is something completely different.....NOT NICE.

Nite Terry and who ever else is still up reading.

Good call on the Curb and Larry David. My brother told me how much he loved the show and when he showed me some of the first season episodes, I didn't like it. Just recently I had some of the fourth season episodes on demand and I started watching them and loved them. I really liked when he was talking to the lady (lesbian) that was going to adopt an Asian baby with her partner and starts suggesting names.....wang, seng, and of course, Tang. And when she says it wouldn't work naming him after a breakfast drink and he says "well I think thats going to be the least of your problems."

Gotta love it...the jewish things he does are ohhh so true!

Holy Moley, look at all the programming.
Some of the shows list major sponsors for the events...hoping they sign on to the network independently as well...

I know it's premature to say without major carrier news, but the first thought to go through my mind while paging through the new website just now was...

"Holy Cr@p... I think we're rich."

Yes, I was hoping they were going to resurrect (no pun intended) the "Queer religious show" idea from their earlier schedule a couple of years ago...because the controversy of it has the potential to get some good press. Nice.

Observations about the new website:

1) American Airlines , Bacardi , Bud Light , Instinct Magazine all have their logo's on our site as sponsors of events. Will they become advertisers?

2) Hero Unit : http://www.herounit.com/ahome.htm

3) Low quality scans , poor resolution pictures, crooked programing pages.

4) Need to scroll up and down , does not fit on screen , but looks like it was designed to.

Overall some new info but the site still is far from being the vehicle needed to bring in viewers and advertisers. It still looks cheap and amateurish.

New website not what I expected. Poor quality pictures, hitting "next page" is more like an amateur photo album site. They should just create links that go to that page.

Whatever. Someone will always have a problem with something but I can not understand why it's so hard to hire a professional web designer. I mean are they limited to 5 freakin pages???

If you notice, each picture is cut into groups. In other words, most pictures you see are not "1" picture, they are several pieced together.

Whole site is just not high quailty, eye catching.

I'll talk to Frank this week about all this

hey guys the way i see it is that the web site is for information. they don't make or break a company. the thing I'm excited about is all the info that is there.

it does several thing for us.

it blows U4 theory of only having 5 movies out of the motion picture deal

it shows a schedule that is not full of infomercials.

it shows that they are working on the site but not concentrating all their efforts on it.

It goes into great detail about the gay games.

it is a big step forward folks.

as i said the web site doesn't make or break the company, unless maybe if they where a hi tech company which of course we are not.

Yes the site could be better but it has been allot worse.

When I called the offices last week, I was told they would be putting all of the information up from the brochure they have. I didn't realize that they would literally be putting the brochure online. However, I think this is a great improvement and gives the site visitors a much better idea of what is being offered by the company.

Not sure if this one has been posted. I found it on here tv's site: http://www.heretv.com/news.asp?id=30

(look at the last part of the article)

By Linda Moss 10/4/2004

Here! TV, formerly just an on-demand and pay-per-view service targeting gay audiences, last week launched as a 24-hour premium network.

The linear mini-pay channel is now available to distributors, debuting right on schedule Oct. 1. Here! TV plans to announce its first major carriage deal for that round-the-clock network later this month, CEO Paul Colichman said.

“It is up as a 24-hour service,” he said, adding that the feed was up on a satellite. “We’re very pleased with our progress.”

Colichman said pricing for the 24-hour premium channel will vary, but didn’t offer specifics. He said the linear network will have “simply more programming” than the video on demand, subscription VOD and PPV offerings.

Here! TV’s SVOD service includes new theatricals, Colichman said. The 24-hour network will also air library product, including titles acquired from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. (such as My Beautiful Launderette) in September.

The 24-hour Here! feed is using the Playboy Channel model: subscribers can buy a program block or upgrade to the 24-hour linear feed for a monthly subscription fee.

Whereas Logo — the 24-hour network for gay audiences MTV Networks will roll out in February — can launch on digital tiers, independent Here! TV lacks Viacom Inc.’s clout and distribution leverage. That’s one reason Here! TV is going the mini-pay route.

Also, most cable operators claim they don’t want more basic channels, and the kind of content Colichman wants on Here! TV isn’t appropriate for basic cable. It’s “not adult content, it’s not erotica, but it is designed for a mature audience that pays for it and wants it,” he said.

The on-demand Here! TV is available to about 25 million subscribers. DirecTV Inc. and Dish Network offer it on PPV and RCN Corp. carries it as an SVOD service. Here! TV’s varied on-demand services are available to cable via InDemand and TVN, with Time Warner Cable in Wisconsin among those offering the VOD service.

On-demand pricing is in the neighborhood of $3.99 to $9.99.

Another premium service targeting the gay audience, Q Television Network, is slated to start doing live programming Oct. 14, CEO Frank Olsen said. Priced at $7.95 a month, it will be producing a three-hour live weeknight block, including a two-hour talk program and a sports show, that will get repeat airings.

Q Television is carried by RCN Corp. in San Francisco, and last week began being carried by all RCN’s systems, Olsen said. The network also has a hunting license carriage deal with Time Warner Cable.

The thing about Here! is that it is only available on demand. I think that would mean you pay for each and every show. The only change they are making is that they are now offering more programming at one time. Before, they only offered like 3 titles to choose from per week. Q television is still the shiznit when it comes to gay tv.

On a side note, the SEC commissioner is coming to my school to present to us. There will be an open question section, so if anybody has a question they want me to ask, post it here and I will ask it, (If I do decide to go.)

Anyone else having trouble seeing the new program schedule? I was reading through it, and whammo, the pages seem to have been removed. Maybe they thought they were giving away the farm too early? (Or maybe it's just my computer?)

I knew I shoulda downloaded the whole thing the minute it appeared last night. I got the first page at least.

I just saw Barry Manilow on their concert series page!
http://www.qtelevision.com/12.html

I'm not sure if you guys know anything about Manilow fans but I'll have you know that they are very loyal. I'm a fan and thought that he might end up on Q Television. This is a great thing! The Fanilows will potentially be the sourse of non-gay viewers that Q television will be chasing!

This is not comprehensive perhaps, but just a quick assessment of the lineup, using an established niche network like "Oxygen" as a reference point. I'm taking into account only "shows" (both original and syndicated) and leaving out movies and events coverage. Here's how the Q lineup stacks up. (I think pretty well):

Q Television Network (30 program titles):

The Stylist
Q on the Move
Q the Music
Internet Qafe
Sports 'N More
Odysseys/Ovations
the Agenda
Cathedral of Hope
The Sylist
Box Office America
Giggles
Q Sounds
Q on stage
Broadway Beat
J's Sportswrap
Q Select Icons
Week in review
Concrete Jungle
What's for Dinner?
Women On Women!
Paradise Falls
The Jack E. Jett Show
Mary Hartman
Class Act
Off the Beaten Track
Ring Masters
Stockard Channing
TechnoGay
Under The Pink carpet
DykeTV

Oxygen (27 titles, taken from their shows page):
Nighty night
Good Girls Don't
Girls Behaving Badly
AbFab
RoseAnne
Cybill
A Different World
Ellen
Living Single
I've Got a Secret
Talk Sex
Bliss
Show Me Yours
Naked Josh
Snapped
Nice Package
Drastic Plastic Surgery
Birth stories
Oxygen Sports
Inhale
Oprah After the Show
The Ellen Degeneres Show
The Isaac Mizrahi Show
Conversations with Carrie Fisher
Life and Style
Women and the Badge
Xena: Warrior Princess

I'm happy so far, especially considering this is "right out of the box" for Q, whille "O" has been refining its programming for a good long while now.

Some one is actually listening to the complaints. Since I first looked at the site they have straightened the schedule pages so that they are only slightly crooked and shrunk some of the pictures to improve the resolution. The site is still far from what is needed but it looks a little better than it did this morning.
