Sherri...there's a 3 day settlement time for all stocks...and we sold it only the day before the halt...so it wasn't 3 days...Yes it sucks...but not a damn thing we can do!

but 10, the issue is, we don't have the shares OR our money. If someone esle has our shares, then we should have their money, if the someone else still has their money, than WE shoudl still have our sahres. They can't have it both ways. just doesn't make sense.

Oh I know the part about three days BUT a halt on trading is usually not a halt on settlement....think about CSHD? This is really a rare circumstance....even ChoiceTrade was talking about that aspect of it.

http://www.stock watch.com/swnet/newsit/newsit_newsit.aspx?bid=B-695200-C:*OSC&symbol=*OSC&news_r egion=C

( remove space: "stock watch" )

excerpt:
quote:
As BigHub and Select American were blasting away at each other, the Depository Trust Company (DTC), the U.S. behemoth with subsidiaries that provide essential market services such as clearing, lumbered into action.

On April 11, the DTC issued a notice that it was suspending all services with the exception of custody services for BigHub and warned its participants "to take whatever precautions are necessary to protect themselves and their customers."

That effectively brought an end to trading in BigHub shares, but the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) followed up with its own trading halt on April 12.

While the trading at least temporarily stopped on April 11, the BigHub drama continued.

short answer--did you read the article?--is everything's up in the air... Not clear that Yucatan is rightful owner, less clear Wong/Sparrow entities have been up to. It *needs* investigating...

Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to try to make a phone call or two today and see if I can get any info. In particular, how, and for how long can they hold the money that I made when I sold the day before the halt, that they said didn't settle in time. Wondering how they can keep my shares AND money...

I'll also try to figure out if there's any estimated timeframe for things to proceed.
