Everyone knew Detroit had gigantic problems for yrs. Fords loss is no big surprise. Will we all have to buy a japanese car in the future? Or will congress step in and support Detroit? I think they will. New Orleans went down, can't risk Detroit falling also.

Look to China. They will begin flooding the market with their cars in the next several years. Small at first then big. Our wage, price of product supply, etc. can never compete with China unless our car manufacturers merge with some of the Asian car manufacturers and/or move production overseas. The legacy of Detroit is fading.

China will give everyone trouble. I guess japan will get nervous about chian getting into the auto market.
look for joint ventures between china and japan.
yes detroit had its days of glory. They never used their heads about how to make the autos more attractive nor better engineered. They should have brought in more italians for design looks, germans for quality control, irish for practicality/function. This team may have made some possiblities for Detroit. Now its too late. My Ford F150 had 2 repairs past 6 months. Only has 40K miles. Cost me $1200 and $600.

Bigfoot ever heard the famous pennyland motto: "never EVER fall in love with a penny stock"?? I added EVER" for emphasis. I mean I'm not saying it can't go back up, but....besides if this is the bottom, the Shark Flippers will be on the attack. These guys make sure no stock rises in appreciation.

Not to sound flippant Paul but I been in the penny market for a while. I still make mistakes but I know what I'm doing.
Another rule to point out...don't allow your buying and selling habits to be influenced by discussion boards. Discussion boards are great places to get info but heavily driven by emotion.
You may end up being right, the book still isn't finished here. And if you are then I'm outs a few k. If you are wrong though and I am correct on what will be happening here in the next month or two...I will be very happy.
I'm waiting for the conference call. As I have said before, not a recommendation...just a statement of intent.

bigfoot you may be on the right path. think about it, with all 'The News" out the way, now 'The Rumors' can begin to "kick in" and as we all know stocks rise on rumors and drop just after news...well at least concerning the ones we all know about. But say a mining co has news of acquiring 200 uranium claims and was selling at a 52 week low of 1 cent(GLXI)...well you can see what "The News" can do. Its all about where the stock is in its cycle that will determine how the price/market reacts. This thing had its run last yr, are you sure you are not 'beating a dead horuse"? Can CBAY "rise from the dead"? It only takes a few top members here to jump on board with some cheers and everyone will follow, and before you know it, its a 100% gainer, with some smaller flips afterwards..etc. So yes it is possible ., given the right circumstances to make money in this, if in at the right time, and exit at the right time. I'm not good enough to figure this out, not just yet.

Drop is a combo of a month of dilution followed by major confidence issues by shareholders.
I'm still in as the fundamental reasons I bought in haven't changed. The Bigfoot is a stubborn beast. Don't know if we've hit bottom yet. If you are looking to get in watch some first to guage bottom.

Hi all. I bought 1,000 shares of Calbay in Nov 0f '01 at $22 a share. Anyone think I might be able to get my money back? Should I cost-average down or what?

Unfortunately there's not really even one indicator that looks to good, unless oversold is a tell tale sign of something good waiting to happen. Of course I've seen it said on these boards "buy when everyone is complaining and sell with the joy.lol

Well, the market cap is down to $4 million. A company doesn't have to do much of anything to be worth that. If they're doing half of what they say they are, it's undervalued IMO.

Once stockholder cofidence returns this will bounce back. Gonna take some changes from the company. Ball's in their court.

I agree with you, but at these prices they don't need to do much to turn things for the better. Bid/Ask moving up .022 x .023
